  • Help ! ABS and EBD error message without reason

Hello dear Doblo / Fiatkenner with my first post here, I’ll get in touch with you with a call for help. Maybe someone can start something with my error description and help with it. I start from the beginning and try to be brief. Our Doblo is a 2008er year of construction, version Malibu 1.3 Multijet 86ps (or so). Starting a year ago about my wife complained often that he doesn’t make a muks when starting, especially if it rained. about April Finally one morning (it was our wedding day and we wanted to go for breakfast) the on-board computer flickered, became completely dark, went after several key turning again and then broke “motor control unit defective, immobilizer defective, later still ABS came defective and EBD defective. After several times fuxe I changed the starter. Since then it always starts well. But the ABS and EBD defective Feh When reading out with Fiat, nothing concrete was found and so the mechanic thought it could be the battery.. so one battery from the workshop in and the other charged.. Error reset.. But error message remained in the on-board computer.. Then he said that it could be a mass problem.. so let search (170 euros) not found anything. Then he said that it might be the instrument cluster defective (500 euros).. I then got a used one at Ebay with the same data and With diagnostic software there was then an error on the right front wheel sensor.. so sensor changed. Now the Doblo is error-free according to the diagnostic software. Unfortunately I still have the 2 error messages in the display. If I start the ignition, the symbol for ABS and hand brake remains illuminated and stands in the display: ABS defective EBD defective motor off. The message ABS defective EBD remains defective even during the whole ride. Battery voltage itself seems OK (12,8V in standstill) and with running engine 14,1V. Now I have to go to Tüv in January and don’t know what else I could do. Don’t have any concerns about getting a TÜV. Although according to the diagnostic device everything is OK. Please !!! Who knows this error and found out what was the fault ? lg. Gerhard

  • Fiat doblo 1.9 Suction diesel doesn’t start anymore

Hello to all Have a 01ér fiat doblo with 1,9 l. suction diesel and 110tkm. The vehicle started to go out suddenly about 1 month ago during the ride, after which you could start it immediately again. Even after turning off the time did not jump immediately. This however became worse and worse. So bad that I can hardly get started now. According to the diagnostic device of the fiat it is supposed to be the diesel pump, which is not cheap now. I wanted now before I started a new diesel pump build here to ask if maybe jm had the same problem once and what was possibly the error for it, because I read here in the internet similar problems that were not fixed after a new pump. Ps: during the ride also the red motor control light lit. I am grateful for every advice

  • Ducato 120, 160, error P0638 throttle valve

The friendly wants in exchange 419 Euronen for the DK. In the net offer dealer a flap with un I had already removed and cleaned the flap, it is also easy to run. What would you advise me to do? Oh, I almost forgot to learn the new flap when swapping or does it work like that? I would be very grateful for quick feedback. In the appendix a picture of the type plate of the built-in DK.

  • 2.3l-150 Multijet: Change timing belts or not?

I bought a used Pössl mobile home (box car) with Maxi chassis and 2.3L Multijet – 148PS. It was built in 2013 and only had a real 2000km down (I was able to verify by hand TÜV reports and gas tests). The car was bought again by the previous owner in 2013 and used once. After that it stood in a carport and was driven only to the all-possible TÜV and gas tests. The engine looks like fresh from the factory, no blooms etc., all steel parts still have d the original varnishes and have no rust. So the mileage is real. However, the colleague never had a customer service (what a miracle, with the low mileage). I have now transferred the vehicle home (500km) and have also handled it accordingly carefully. I would say that the engine has not really entered yet. So now he has at present just 2500km on it. First of all I want to make an oil/filter change of course, because I z to assume that even modern engines have increased abrasion at the beginning, which should be removed quickly with the oil and on the other hand do not know whether and how oil ages when a vehicle is standing longer. However, I have already been approached twice independently of each other from different points of view, because I should have the timing belt changed for safety reasons. Now a belt like this lasts at least 60000km, usually much longer. So I thought rather about having it still inside the belt. I was told, however, that a timing belt is also aging without it running and that 8 years are the point where a timing belt should be out regardless of the running performance. Is that so right that the aging of the timing belt material in the stand is so exorbitant that it has to be out after 8 years? Then you would have to have the time, the time, the timing belt, the timing belt material in the stand is so exorbitant that it has to be out after 8 years? he has already been in some spare part warehouse, pulling off and doing so, afaik nobody. Up to now I had never thought about timing belts and had them changed only after mileage, but mostly rather than prescribed by the manufacturer. So what to do? Let it go and switch in one or two years or out immediately?

  • Fiat Ducato Lack Reassembly How-To

The current paint condition is getting worse and worse as usual with the series (250 Ducato). However, since the general condition is good, the vehicle is absolutely reliable and the current vehicle prices are quite heavy I have now penetrated to attack a complete painting. Good painting skills (practically very good, theoretically rather less) are available, a clean hall and the necessary technology as well. And before the question comes up, yes, comparable works have already been done. rchführt with very satisfactory result. So please do not have any fundamental discussions about the skills but solution-oriented contributions. Rather, I am not quite sure how far I should work in the current paint and which varnishes I should use. Previous paint completely down to the painting or only sand off the damage areas on a large scale and only sand on the rest? Then completely prime again, or only base paint and clear paint? Which paint use n? I had ordered a specially mixed varnish from a well-known supplier during the last repairs. But this one “created” the original varnish in some places, so something was not compatible. I would be happy if someone would share their experiences with me 🙂

  • Fiat Ducato Maxi 250 problems with hard chassis/tire pressure long-term experience sought

I recently acquired an almost new 2014 ér Fiat Ducato Maxi L5H2 and expanded it to WoMo. I had a VW bus before and am negatively surprised by the pitch hard to non-existent chassis in combination with 4.5 bar and 5 bar in the Conti Van4Season tires. You can notice every pebble and every road crossing, and that with an almost new car. Of course it is a transporter and you move in comfort at a different level, but the sounds, blows and vibrations leave a This is far too hard, fine vibrations are passed on to the body unfiltered. The Maxi has reinforced brakes and the large 16 inch wheels as well as reinforced leaf springs, in an empty drive this may be too hard now, but I was on the balance and I’m in the middle of the car, but I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to do it. it 3,2t without passenger close to the maximum load. Now of course I am interested in long-term experiences of other plagued Ducato drivers in terms of the durability of the original suspension, how does that feel after 200tkm or more? Lt. my dealer create ORC rims in combination with 2.8 bar in the 18 inch wheels improvement, since I would like to keep the original wheels, however, would prefer with a suspension upgrade. Air is not in my question, my favorite would be e currently the AL-KO ACS and ARS system. Does anyone have experience with it? The chassis should cost 220€ incl. installation, what costs the registrations. How much is the vehicle raised at the rear and front, is it possible to raise the rear by distance block f. the leaf springs at the same time? I am happy about experiences and opinions on the topic, have no more slalom to drive Gulli lids

  • Purchase advice new 500C

Hello. We are currently planning for my wife to buy a new Fiat 500C. New because, just as she imagines it, there is no young used or daily registration available here. I notice, however, that with the daily registrations, which are a few months old but have not run anything, some gross discounts are granted, probably also due to the model change. Nevertheless, I am worried about a later residual value or about the money, which is in the meantime The calculated 500C with all possible comfort and back costs 24.500 €, as re-import 22.500 €. Is then after 4 years and 40,000 km a residual value of 10,000 € still realistic, if they after the customers after the daily registrations after? We are test driven not the convertible, but the normal one. The was pleasantly quiet, how is this with the closed fabric roof? The presenter was the 1.2 with 69 HP. We courageously crossed the 105 HP variant, in the brochure I then with I’m afraid that this is a 2 cylinder motre with turbo-charge, because my motorcycle engine is bigger. How is it with sound and vibrations and susceptibility? Otherwise we would be positively surprised by the driving behaviour, the little one drives like a big one, space is really good at the front. Would anyone be discouraged from the convertible here? Or from the 105 hp version or the mini engine with turbo? We never had a Fiat and we don’t want to put 22.500 € in the sand? f Your opinions and recommendations. Greetings Markus
