  • Fiesta 1,1; year 90; loss of power at load

Hi together, I’m at the end with my wisdom and my nerves. Maybe one of you is helping me out of the valley of tears. It’s about a Fiesta Bj. 90. For some time now, he only brings partial power under load and does not take any gas, which means that I have to switch some down to the 3rd aisle on climbs where he used to offer quite suitable power in the 4th aisle. On bigger climbs, I have to go down to the 2nd aisle where he came through in the 3rd aisle. r in the higher speed range there is a chance for load. In the stand and at low speeds, it is estimated that around 1000 rpm of vibrations can be felt which are removed in the higher speed range. During the ride, the vibrations occur at load and in the speed range estimated around 2500 rpm. It takes gas in the stand and uncoupled during the ride, i.e. the speed shoots high. First I replaced the defective poti at the throttle valve, the cables were I have replaced and made the following: – spark plugs replaced – ignition coil replaced – temperature sensor replaced from the cooling circuit – sensor replaced from the crankshaft – sensor replaced from the vacuum hose – Lambda probe replaced – Motorcraft EDIS ignition module replaced – valve play set 0,2/0,35 Despite all attempts it remains with the above behavior. In my experiments I noticed the following: – engine starts cold and warm without problems – spark plug from cylinder 4 Is wet – Ignition spark on cylinder 2 and 4 is very weak compared to the ignition spark 1 and 3 – smells like fuel – needs a lot of fuel To the ignition sparks I have to say one more thing: The Fiesta has a 2 sparks gun coil. Zyl. 1 and 4 are together on one and Zyl. 2 and 3 are together on the other coil. So each on one coil a strong and a weak ignition spark. So, hopefully nobody is afraid of so much text. The story has been going on for a few weeks now. Hoff There’s someone out there who can help me.

  • Engine goes off, battery is empty despite new LiMa

Hi guys, I hope here I find help, am really at a loss in the meantime. I bought a Fiesta Bj91 1 week ago. New system built in (nix dolles, 140W without amplifier etc), and since I drove for a longer time I simply always run out of engine, the battery is then completely empty. Now we have built in a new battery and alternator, after the installation the battery had turned on with all VUbrachers with running motor about 14V. That means the LiMa function Now the shit happened right on the first ride again, the new battery is completely empty again, we had to push the car. What can this be about? The system is definitely built in properly, the LiMa etc also I really don’t know what it can be anymore. A friend said the new battery (if we had to run another day with the broken LiMa) would be “deep discharge”, now I charge the new battery completely full, and hope it then, but I am Sceptical. Thank you very much!

  • Chassis problems with the 92 Fiesta Diesel

Hi, everybody! I drive a 92 Fiesta Diesel (250 tkm). The chassis was stable so far. But since my wife once “fully” loaded (about 350 kg) 180 km on the highway, he swims at road uneventies. I have meanwhile checked wheel bearings, steering and crossbars … everything paletti (as far as I could tell). My guess is now that the springs are not so great anymore. The shock absorbers were tested by the Dekra at HU in November and found to be good. someone confirm my “diagnosis” or do you have a better/different idea? Many greetings and thanks!

  • Ford Fiesta BJ.1992 Smoky black, smells of gasoline and goes out!Help!!!

Hello, I have a Ford Fiesta BJ.1992! He has run 128000km and has 60hp! He runs very restless and smokes heavily black from the exhaust! It is after a short time a really black spot on ́m ground there where the exhaust was! Also it smells strongly from the back of the exhaust gas! Sometimes he also goes out in the stand! It is best to start it with gas then it goes well! It seems to me as if he is running far too fat or the fuel would not be burned properly I turned out the spark plugs once and found that they are black and also a bit wet! I checked the ignition system once and he has a spark on every cable and with each candle! So it wouldn’t be possible to have the ignition cables or spark plugs! What else can it be? Do you have an idea what I can still check without buying everything new directly?? Thanks already MFG C-KING

  • Ignition from Motar but still on when Ablelllich is on.

Hello, I have a big problem or two but the second one is not quite as bad and don’t know how to solve it or if I still have to go to the expensive workshop. Auto data: Ford Fiesta KW/PS 37/52 Year of manufacture: 94 1119 ccm Low pollutant E2 If you need more just tell me. 1. Problem I can start the engine with the ignition switched on and also switch off with the ignition key again. Now to the problem: As soon as I turn on my dipped light when the ignition is switched off Ignition means the petrol pump goes short as normal with the ignition and everything else light also on the amatur board as if the ignition was on. I could probably start the car now only if I short-circuit the right contacts say the car start what I only need to do with my key, thank God. If I drive with the car in the evening I need the dipped-beam switch on the dipped-beam, then I park at some point a car and turn off the ignition so I can take out the ignition key, however, the car remains on until I turn off the dipped-beam as well. funny is however. Since someone has an idea. I guess there is something wrong with the contacts of the lighting system. 2. Problem I turn on my dipped-beam so the left headlight goes quite normally on the right, however does not shine quite as bright as it should. When the driving-beam is switched on short it then also goes quite normal a uf its full luminosity. Here is only the pear not completely clean anymore or it may even be related to Problem No. 1. Would be very grateful for your help. Gruss greatlyusa

  • Air mass meters?

Hi guys.. For a few days now my Hilde (Ford Fiesta BJ 96) worries me. In the stand with running engine, it sounds very restless, as if the car is always re-regulating until it is drunk from time to time. Speaking of, if i brake strongly or at all brake, the car runs out. Can it be that my air mass meter soon pulls up the hooves or can it be something else? How expensive would that be if I had it done in the workshop? at the moment everything comes at once *kotz* Bergige Grüße aus Tirol Lunatic

  • Fiesta, year 91, inspection of rear brake

Dear Fordgemeinde, since my hand brake blocks on the last 1 m brake path in the rear, I wanted to look into the rear brake, by the way the foot brake works perfectly at the rear (brake test bench). I encountered two difficulties: 1. The driver-side rear axle nut can’t be solved despite the lever extension. Is this model a left thread? How do you solve such fixed nuts? Does creep oil bring something at this high torque? 2. H In the right, I was able to release the axle nut well and wanted to pull off tyres and brake drums. As the brake pads have certainly entered the drum, I couldn’t move the drum over the “edge” and pull it off. How can I relax the hand brake rope? I’m afraid if I kind of loosen the rope at the hand brake lever, which I can’t thread it back in later and everything has to be replaced. I feel like I’m on the way to the wood. Maybe I can I’ll send you some tips.

  • Buy Fiesta MK6 – which points to pay special attention to

Hello, I’m just looking for a car for my usual short and medium distances. At the moment I have Opel Corsa (in 60 or 75 hp), Nissan Micra (in 65 hp), VW Polo and stop the MK6 Fiesta. A Fiesta with the 1.3 liter 70 hp engine from 2004 I tried (after longer Ford abstinence) times and found it actually quite good. I fit in (important point at 1.96m), chassis was good, engine is quite quiet and the circuit is also easy. t. Which points should be paid special attention to in the Fiesta – so where should one look at necessarily to detect defects. Some Fiestas should also have clear rust problems (doors?) – where can one recognize this most? Which motors are particularly recommended (maintenance, consumption, timing belts or control chain, maintenance intervals)? Where are the typical weak points.
