Hi, with my 1.8 focus year 98 I have been observing the following phenomenon for about 3 weeks: When I start the car every now and then the hands of the speedometer once completely off, then 2 sec stand and go back to the normal position. (i.e. only immediately after the start) then everything works perfectly. To my knowledge, this pointer rash can be done manually by holding the reset button from the speedometer and turning on the ignition. But why does this come to me? automatic? That’s never been like this.

Hello, I am faced with the decision to buy either a Ford Focus II (74kW gasoline, special model Fun-X) or a Skoda Octavia I Tour (75kW gasoline plus package Prime). Equipment is similar for both: climate, el. exterior mirror & window lifter front, on-board computer, CD radio (MP3 only at Octavia), heatable windscreen only at Focus. Both are about 13.300€ (Focus as day registration 3 months old, Octavia new order with list price minus 14%). Differences are marginal – rather optical. Skoda is almost too long for me – 20cm longer than Focus (place conditions at my parking space somewhat cramped) and the Focus has the heatable windshield (for me as an “outdoor parker” an interesting feature). On the other hand, the Octavia already has an MP3-suitable radio and a larger trunk. In addition, it will be built for many years and should be very mature, while the Focus II is only built for a good 2 years. I only like the Focus II. I like its suspension extremely well. I have to test it at Octavia I. What arguments could speak for the Focus or the Octavia I from your point of view? Are there typical problems with the two? Thank you+Greet Astrawerner

Hello, I have a C-Max 1.8 l, 120 hp, 03/04. Does anyone have experience with liquefied gas? You could then refuel for 56 cents. It should give me silver valve covers at Ford engines and with black ones and these would not be so well suited for gas, that must be related to the valves because gas does not lubricate as well as gasoline or the combustion is hotter. Hello to my new Ford Focus Facelift 1.6 TI-VCT I have the problem that the car doesn’t really get on the road and goes off again. No matter if the long time has stood and then is cold or after short distances. If you give a bit of gas when starting, you can avoid this problem, as stated only at about 2/10 times before.. Sometimes also a whole time is quiet times often in a row. What can this be ??

Hi, not even 48h after I picked up my brand new Focus Sport TDCI, someone drove me in the back (she was guilty and admitted it immediately). I tell you quite a great thing. By chance the accident happened right next to my dealer. Got the Ford Master right away and he meant that some parts had to be changed (back door on driver side, side skirts) etc. The repair took about 1 week. What kind of car rental did I have there? Claim ?? I can somehow remember having read that only one car is entitled to a class under mine. Only I am now a frequent driver and if I now had to switch from a 100kw Focus station wagon to a 55kw Fiesta or something that would hurt quite a lot.. What do you think about it ?? Hello together and a happy new year. I found out again today that once again there is a rust in the grip area of the boot lid.This has been painted 2 times.My question now would not be better if Ford put in a new flap to save costs there?If I were to calculate this together now, it would be cheaper for the long term. 3 times boot lid paint + wages etc. What do you think about this topic?

Hello, as a newcomer in this forum a question to the experts. I am about to buy a C-Max 2.0 petrol engine and would like to know if your experience is worth the purchase and the variant is really much more splashy compared to the 1.8 l with 125 hp, as I am also looking for a bit of driving fun when I overtake it.
