  • Mondeo: VA crossbar bushings

    I have a Mondeo 11/94 1.6l, 120,000km, in which the crossbar bushings, left and right respectively the rear, are torn. I don’t know how long, since recently found during tyre change. First noises when driving occur now. Urgent question: can one only have the crossbar bushings replaced or should it be the whole crossbar including bushings?   • TSI 18/2005 on the second ?

    Hello Mondeofahrer, with my TDCI 96 Kw,Bj. 03.2003 I now have a blower of the flat belt at 800 1/min when the air conditioning is switched off again. When the front disc heating is switched on it becomes quieter and when the air conditioning is switched on it is gone. The TSI was carried out in 05.2005 (new modified belt tensioner). Does anyone know this problem of the recurring roaring ? Did someone get the blower removed forever (longer 1 year) ? The new TSI is from 0 8.2005, there is now to be exchanged belt tensioner, belt disc and belt (500 Euro !!) I fear this will come again and again. Can one tighten the belt ? Does it only use the belt to exchange ? Thanks for many answers. Greeting Horst

    Now in November my Mondeo MK III year 11/2004, Mod. TDCI, 91 Kw, 38000 Km. Lim. 5 Türig Ghia X, the KD and the TÜV with ASU was due. Not only that I had to pay for this here in Upper Bavaria over 440.- Euronen no it was also also the rear right Bremzange fixed (t TÜV report) and the sealing ring on the gerke “simmerring” was defective and therefore in the lower engine range oil out. And that after 3 Jaher and about 38000Km driving performance, only private (rentner). What will come only when -or until – the second TÜV becomes due. I really have to note “respect” of FORD uniquely my worst first-TÜV result of my total driven vehicles. Who still has similar “good” experiences with this vehicle?   • motor goes out after 1 sec. and then doesn’t run anymore

    hello. today I wanted to drive and at the start the engine went out after 1 sec.. after that I got it only with a lot of gas pedal pumps to run and then only 2? cylinders. have tried this several times and then left 5 min. afterwards he jumped on without probeleme and drove as before. what can that be? have a mk1 with 2.0l 16 v motor

  • Quietscheford: Last part? D-Filter or control valve

    Hi, you may not believe it, but the game goes on. I finally found the squeaking, at least I believe it. I bought the book and immediately after I read that the Krafstoff is warmed up at the 85kw TDDI somehow went in that direction. Unfortunately it was always too warm or the noise was too short. Today it was different, at least the sound long enough….and I stood with a vacuum cleaner pipe in front of the car to listen. Directly on the Reg elventil of the diesel filter was a climper/kling/klapper VERY clear to hear. At the moment it is so that up to ~12°C outside temperature the noise is there and after a few minutes completely disappears. After I have heard the on/at the control valve the car probably ran for too long and it was not heard any more while the rest of the ride. What cost should it be, such an exchange of the control valve with wires? My wife and I will look/hear it again tomorrow (today it is e the car will no longer squeak). However, I am more than sure that this bright sound NIGHT belongs to the control valve. MFG

    Mondeo MKII 2.0 131 Horses + automatic recommended?? Hello, need a car and stumbled over a 2000 MKII, 2.0 liter 130 hp only ran 70,000. But now it comes, automatic. The problems with Ford didn’t stop. – that the voice-controlled hands-free device works or didn’t work, as it’s in the mood, I had already used myself (if you know the tricks, it’s back to La La I had to accept – that the expensive Ford CD changer plays self-burned CD-Rs only with errors, so that it is simply useless for me and Ford doesn’t care, I thought, would be my biggest nuisance with the vehicle…. … but since last Sunday I know, it’s still possible to slip away) – that my engine also has a “bad scatter” (can’t hear this term anymore) – that my engine has another “bad scatter” (can’t hear this term) and is therefore lamer than the most expensive others and when the vehicle shows it, I had to accept – that the expensive Ford CD changer plays self-burned CD-Rs only with errors, so it’s simply useless for me and Ford doesn’t care, I thought, would be my biggest nuisance with the vehicle…. … but since last Sunday I know, it’s still possible hter: On the way from Hamburg to Hanover, I thought about half way the car burns off. Power loss, deep black smoke from the engine. I just managed to drive from the highway and after about 100 meters it was off. Oil ran on the road and nothing went – the appointment for an apartment transfer had thus burst. Engine damage at just under ! 39,000 km ! Bj 09/05 – scandal !! The free Ford hotline was impeccable, after 20 min a tow truck was there and I have to I’m sorry for all Ford fans, but never again for me. My Opels, my Audi and my VW were always more reliable! — really no more bugs!

Since the Mondeo is driving very quietly in the normal driving style, it is still very sporty when you pass through the full gas. Had sought the compromise, between my desire confortable and well equipped, and my wife’s desire to get a bit more temperamentally from the spot. If you drive normally, then this means with our driving style, that at the latest 3000-3500 rpm is switched up. n Motor times quite demanding, then from 4000-4500 rpm a change in the sound characteristic takes place. He suddenly sounds really biting, Röhrig and a little bit bad. Since one is now approaching the full power of the engine, the Mondeo also makes fun as a family carriage.
