Hello, I have a question about the so-called solid-astane grease. As I understand it, the fuel mixture is “greased” in petrol engines if you fully penetrate the gas pedal. Do I see correctly that the fuel saving rule “always fully penetrated in high gear” is only partly true? I have also heard that at a certain speed the “full-astane grease” would reach. I don’t really understand a lot of this topic. What I can understand to some extent e was that the mixture is greased when the pedal is passed, in order to avoid overheating to the engine. However, that at the expense of the environment and the consumption? Are there no other possibilities for today’s engines? But what I don’t understand is why this grease would also grip at a certain speed. So this means not only paying attention to a maximum of 3/4 gas pedals in high gear, but also not to drive faster than XXX km/h? If so, where can I find out? n, at which speed is greased? And how do I know from which gas pedal position the same happens? Can someone explain me? PS: I drive a 99 Mondeo 1.6l combo and the consumption is decidedly too high. Above all I need on the highway partly more than in urban traffic. Overall I find the SPrit consumption of this box quite extreme, good 9 to 10 liters at 1.6 liters of cylinder capacity and with really lean 95 hp, that is compared to other cars j a partly embarrassing. What do you need a Mondeo with a bigger engine, the same year of construction, about as much as a Grand Cherokee with 400 hp?

Scorpio 2,3 liters built in 1997 jerks in the stand!!!
Hi, my Scorpio is jerking at a constant speed (at 60 to 80 km/h). He does it in some cases, moreover, the speed drops to about 500 at a certain level and it is as if he wants to go out but then he still starts to adjust the speed independently to just over 1000. The spark plugs and the ignition coils were re-made about 1.5 months ago, because he didn’t start any more. But what probably only at a short circuit because of I could only imagine that it was due to the two ignition cables, or what do you say? LMM and probe in front of the throttle flap would be cleaned today without any result. The problem has occurred more often lately, especially uphill I would say. Was today at ATU the master looked at it but the demonstration effect stopped. He said petrol filter can be (almost) excluded. Would now tomorrow new ignition cables be fetched n and new candles, would like to take 4 or 5 pole from Beru or so has anyone experience with it? Ahja forgot to say that I read out the error memory and there was error no. P 0351 in it, I also had where the ignition cables had a short circuit, otherwise only errors that I produced myself because I let it run without LMM and so. Can anyone tell me the cost of the ignition cables? MfG Lobo

Mondeo goes out!!!Help!!!
Hello I have a little problem. I drive a Mondeo tournament 1.6l BJ.93, drive this car for quite a long time and now the first (real) problems come and I don’t know what to do. 1: The car goes out in the cold condition.I drive a par meter and when I step the clutch the car goes out. Speed goes under 500, then it stutters and goes out, but then does not start immediately again but it takes a par second until it starts. n spoke to a Ford mechanic who then told me something about an oil pressure Ventiel, he probably knew the problem exactly. However, the repair would cost around 600€.Can this really be because of it, or can you fix it somehow differently? Before all cheaper! The engine runs otherwise TipTop, if it is warm! I have to say that the dare now, we have often driven with it on holiday, has already run almost 300000km. I made new TÜV and AU, have AU abe r only passed the second time. Why always, I have not changed. The values were too fatty. Is the engine ready? 2.The heating is no longer warm, thermostat has been replaced hoses are also hot only the heat exchanger not.Can that really be that of the calcified? or what can that be? I hope that anyone can help me here!!! Many greetings Raphael

Are there good alternatives to standard lamps in HSW?
Hello dear Ford colleagues! I drive 2001 Mondeo with normal headlights, so without xenon burners and wanted to ask what alternatives there are for light bulbs to the original lamps. Do you have experience there? Which ones can you recommend or have installed yourself? I would be quite right if the light were a bit brighter and whiter than the yellowish one now. Thanks for your tips!

Ford demands worse oil than BMW ?!
Have found the following statement from Sterndocktor in the BMW Forum: “(…) The 0W-30 mobile 1 but is a special Ford oil with ACEA A1/B1/A5/B5 profile. May therefore be used in NO BMW engine (the 0W-30s with BMW release are however such with ACEA A3/B3 profile)! (…)” Does this mean that Ford is less demanding than BMW? Why? Is the engine “rustic”? 😉 Should I not be allowed to do something good for my Mondeo TDCI and indulge in a better oil? Or are in oils (5W-30) nac h the Ford specification contains specially tuned additives for the TDCI Common Rail engines that are not in other oils? Note also the case here in the forum with the “broken ST220”!

Mondi MK III Brake problems
Hello, a few days ago I was in the workshop with my Mondi MK III because when I was driving a smelling smell got into my nose….I think it smelled like plastic. But how quickly it turned out it was the rear disc brakes that were “ZU”…Ouch. The workshop master told me that this would be some kind of Mondi disease….would have more often such problems. Is this really a known problem of the MK III? Since my parking lot in front of the house slightly shut down i I always have to put on the handbrake…I think this won’t be so good…but what else can I do? Roll away from me otherwise. Greetings Christiane

Mondeo – brakes, vibrations
Hello, my 97th Mondeo tournament, starts to vibrate strongly when braking at high speeds up to approx. 100 km/h. Now I have looked at the brake discs. No edge on the discs feelable / coverings 50 % thick. But the brake discs have black dots / stains. Are original parts. Has anyone had this already? I think if the vehicle vibrates while braking down, I probably have to change discs and coverings anyway. But how this comes about, I’m interested. d has worn so little, can only Ford have built bad quality. Thanks to you. Tü Jokie

98′ Mondeo V6 Gear damage???
Hello Leutz! I have had the following problem for 3 days and need your opinion very much: If I start my 98′ Mondi V6 automatic cold is nothing, but if I am 10 – 20 min. on the road and then drive the car in the range between 140 and 150 (also quite briefly enough already) the buck starts to spin. It sometimes turns not higher than 4500 turns (hears and feels as if you chase it in the idle speed limiter, which is there with the automatic). he doesn’t manage to switch to the 4th gear or he doesn’t switch down anymore. Then he switches back to the idle and after eternal seconds first, sometimes he pushes the gears in the strongest way. Or if I am over 120, and he just jumps and jumps, and I insert the 2nd gear manually, nothing should happen, but he switches to the 3rd and mostly (not always) at the corresponding speed (as it should be in driving stage D) in the 4th. Although the selector lever stands at 2. Below. of 80 he purrs like a kitten, so drives without problems… Even if I don’t spend my highway ride faster than 130 there are hardly or quite rarely problems. Momentary mileage 139,000 KM. I would really be happy about numerous information and help, because I am dependent on my car… (drive over 120 KM a day) Maybe someone from you has experiences with it. Thanks in advance

Frozen warning light? Are they serious? (MK3)
..that the light is constantly shining between +4 and +1°C and doesn’t go to display? I only now notice how the green light of the rear-view mirror (causing itself) goes on the nerve when it’s dark – and now this stupid lamp is still glowing all the time? So that’s an idea can only have someone of the upper class driving along with chauffeur, or ?
