  • Mondeo 1.6 – 10l Fuel consumption

Hello, when I was refueling the last time I calculated the fuel consumption of my Mondeo 1.6 (90hp, step tail, year 93) and came on terrifying 10 liters at 100km. On the vehicle are quite normal 185er 14 inches (intermediately winter tires) mounted and from the driving way, I think that I drive very sparingly (roll around in the city in 5th gear, also at 80 at the latest on the country road in 5th gear and mountain underroll). Al 3km are city and the rest is country road. Mostly I drive alone and sometimes for two and rarely for five… Should 10 liters really be normal? Alex PS: How many liters does the tank of the Mondeos own

  • Can anyone explain to me about the turbo?

Hello, I’m driving a Mondeo 2.0 TDDI tournament BJ 2001. What I think is to know is that the turbo “starts” at approx. 2000U/min. Now I’m not sure if it always starts at 2000U/min or what has to do with the desired acceleration. Sometimes it’s like this when I drive just above 2000U/min… ca. 2100 – 2200 U/min again I notice the Trurbo “starts” but then goes out again and approaches again…. I don’t speed up but basically keep the pace. Does that mean that here is the area where the turbo can’t really decide if it should go on now or not? Sometimes, when accelerating, I notice extremely that the turbo “starts” and sometimes that’s a sliding transition… and of course I sometimes have the feeling that it doesn’t “start” at all. A little info would be great!

  • Retrofit NAVI and automatic air conditioning?

Hi have a Ford Mondeo MK3 (think I’m built in 10/2002) with the well-known rust problems at the door etc.. But unfortunately there is only a manual climate in it with the well-known rotary controllers! Wanted to know how hard it is to blow out against an automatic climate control, what you have to change everything? Do you only have to replace controls? Then there is such a Ford Radio in 6000 something, that I wanted to blow out against an original Ford Navi. Refitting a GPS antenna, isn’t it? MFG MARV

  • Ford Scorpio 2.3 BJ 98 head

Hello together, I started for a friend to renew his 2,3 ldohc head seal. (Wagen has thrown the cooling water out of the exhaust.) I already marked everything and put down the head. I then made a 2,0 l head ohdc on it. Since the old one has the intermediate wall 1-2 duchgebrandt. Everything good until KM 25 , there flew me the suction bridge through the engine. So made a mistake! Head also against rounder. Have had right had head seal broken. New head seal on it, suction bridge glued, thermostat renewed. (Apply to that it was the reason for head seal 1 and 2 and the head has the part wool also on the present. So I also got everything against together, although my mark on the crankshaft lid was gone. And look there it doesn’t jump on! When it starts up we? and when it falls under 1500 tours?

  • Consumption Mondeo TDCI 2.0

Hello, I drive a Ford Mondeo TDCI 2.0 with 130 hp. Year 04.2004. 6 gear manual transmission. Euro 4. 225 tires. Sports suspension. Now at 14,000 km. In the manual an average consumption of 6.2 l/100 km is indicated. I land in a very moderate driving mode in a balanced mix between city and highway regularly at 8 l/100 km. I have read in another forum that the consumption when the automatic air conditioning is “automatic” is high and when you go down into the “ECO” mode and the power hole is gone. I have always driven with the setting “Automatic”. To me the consumption seems quite high. Ford says it would be normal and the dealer says he can’t find a mistake. Since he can’t find a mistake, he can or doesn’t want to do anything. Has an experience with the consumption and the Kim automatic on this model. Would be very nice if you could tell me consumption data. Thank you Marc

  • Lower Mondeo Tournament?

Hello, I gave us half a year ago for my family a Ford Mondeo TDCI tournament Bj 2003! Most of the time my wife drives it. Actually she is quite satisfied with it. But she doesn’t like the somewhat “smoky” driving behavior. He would shunk too badly. Now I wanted to ask here if someone with lowering springs knows, or maybe even has installed some. What experiences have been made? Which brand is to recommend? How much should you lower the car, so that there is still enough comfort? etc. etc. Many thanks in advance. Many greetings Sveenie.c

  • Is there anyone who can help me?

Sorry that I open a thread again, I urgently need an AW, since I still want to go home today and do not want to spend the lunch in a workshop, thank you! Hi, today car completely nomrally parked in the parking lot. After the purchase started, light bulb flashes. Car off, then started again, still flashes. Then I drove home and turned off after about 8 km car and no more blinking, car then drove also quite normal. As the fault still was, did not turn on, my opinion also the Turbo, had the feeling that I drive a car with 90 hp. What do you mean, what could the lying down. Diesel filter was changed before about 10000 km. Alas, have still read the code in the cockpit DTC E200 DTC d262 R 206, ER 206 can one with it something start? Or after what else I have to look at? Greeting Epex

  • Mondeo ́02 climate

Hello together, since today is again wet cold weather and I had to drive again with foggy windows through the area, I have in the early morning already again “a neck”. At car operation not the quietest breath of air comes to the front window, anyway nothing can be regulated manually, unless you press the cute button to make a disc-free-on top, on which a hurricane blows around your ears. According to Ford everything is fine. Do they really want to fuck me? It can’t be possible that it should not be possible in 2004 to regulate an air conditioning system rationally. That could already be better for my 73er-coach. Does anyone have a solution / experiences?

  • Questions about seat heating and the ASR

Hello guys! I didn’t actually install any ASR or seat heating on my Mondeo, so there’s a slot at the point where these switches were actually available: http://www.directupload.net/file/d/978/XR2o4IJI_jpg.htm Now I’ve pulled out this time, and I’ve noticed that there were 3 connectors behind it: 1. http://www.directupload.net/file/d/978/L5IM8hi4_jpg.htm 2. http://www.directupload.net/file/d/978/388lt3Nh_jpg.htm Now I’m wondering if vi easy the seat heaters are already available, as is the ASR? Can I imagine very difficult, but who knows, for my on-board computer the cables and sensors were already available. But I’m afraid it’s too easy if I just have to buy the switches and plug in the plugs *g* My storage compartment has only “blind holders” for the plugs at the back. Say there’s no purpose at the moment with the plugs: http://www.directupload.net/file/d/978/QsqDP Dj_jpg.htm By the way, not all pins of the plugs are occupied. Here are some photos: Seat heating driver: http://www.directupload.net/file/d/978/yay3VaUF_jpg.htm ASR plug: http://www.directupload.net/file/d/978/K4x85dB9_jpg.htm Seat heating passenger: http://www.directupload.net/file/d/978/2WM3Vnid_jpg.htm What can you tell me about this matter? Now maybe some people would tell me that I should just check under the seats whether heating wires for the seat heating system g are available, but unfortunately I don’t know how to remove the reference of the seats looking forward to your answers MFG Danny
