  • Experience with ST220 ?

Hello everyone, have an Audi A4 2.8 Quattro V6, but will not be very happy with the Ingolstadter Karre, because it is quite ok in terms of performance, but half the time is with the friendly one and is reflected in the budget like the new interceptors for the Bundeswehr – at least EUR 700 for every service, because there is always something to repair I would therefore be interested in a Mondeo ST 220, how are the experience values in terms of reliability and rep before the Audi had a Mondeo V6 BJ 01 and a Cougar V6, the two never made such problems as the A4 (but unfortunately were destroyed in accidents). Let’s see, maybe I’m better off with Ford than with Audi?

  • Question about automatic transmission: Mondeo V6

Hello, I’m new here in the forum and have a problem with my Mondeo V6 Kombi, year 1999 125kW, automatic, about 130 000 km. And that is: When I start it all is still normal. After a while the “OD” light starts to flash and the transmission switches much harder. This can happen every five kilometers, or I can drive 20 and more kilometers. Strangely enough, this only happens in the “D” stage. When I turn off/on the ignition the spook is gone again to the next level. I read out the control unit when an error message comes: “Converter bridge coupling does not close”. But I can’t quite understand that, because I should have already heated the converter in case of a defect of the coupling. Oil level of the gearbox is ok, the oil has a pink color without impurities. Who knows advice? Gruss Richard

  • Ford Mondeo Combi (Sprit consumption too high)

Hi Leutz! We’ve been driving Mondeo Combi BJ 2000 for some time now. The part has 1.8 liters and 115 hp. Unfortunately we barely get under 9 liters of fuel consumption. The car is mainly moved on short distances. From me very economical (inside mainly 5 gears) accelerate up to max 3000 turns. But I can’t get the part lower. Last calculation resulted in 9.5 liters. The best where mainly I drove was just under 9 liters. If someone else from the family driving more by car, we are sometimes even at 11 liters. Well with them it has not been sooo tragic before. I really don’t know why that is, but somehow it seems a lot to me. What can you do? Nice greeting Stefan

  • Additional warning indicator in the instrument cluster

Hello, I have here at least a tricky nut for me. On my Sorpio 2.9i Ghia BJ ́90 I have a problem with the locking indicator in the cobi instrument. Unfortunately the display only works with one interior temperature over 40 degrees, as soon as the inner ram cools it shuts off. I have already checked the spreader module of the GlÜ at my other Scorpio, but is not defective. I cleaned and tested the connection at the instrument cluster, also works. I have measured tecker to the instrument cluster with a multimeter. On the buckle signal are 12 V+ on (but not available in the combination), otherwise a maximum of 0.8 V+. No matter whether the doors are open or too. Oh yes, the fuses in the vehicle have already been checked and cleaned, without result (securing box at the front left and glove compartment). Since I have been puzzled since eternal times I hope that something comes up to you. Unfortunately, the search in the forum did not get me any further. Thank you for your help

  • 2004 Mondeo TDCi; failure ESP at 140 km/h

Hello Ford community, I had a very special experience this morning on the BAB. At 140 km/h there was suddenly a “stroke” from the front axe – as if something was blocking briefly – and at the same time the ESP turned off (display in the amaturating board lit). It also could not be activated again by switch. I am out at the next parking lot and have issued the ignition. After the again let on everything was in order. I then left on the further drive and after the On the way home, ESP was deactivated for safety reasons and drove to the workshop. The fault memory was read out, but without any result. A mechanic completed a test drive on the BAB; everything was fine. Now I wouldn’t have such a big problem with it if the lamp was on the front axle from time to time, but this hit was quite violent and I have no idea what it would have looked like at 210 km/h. t or has any idea what might have blocked there for a moment? Greetings Bullish

  • Mondeo MK1 Start/Cold Run Problems

Hello together, have a problem with our Mondeo, it is a 95er 2,0l 100KW, the car has now 260000km down and drives for it still amazingly good, the following problem occurs now more and more often, the car does not want to start, I had before about 50000km, there was the diode that is in the fuse box in the engine compartment, broken! Now it was already broken again, changed again, I noticed that the diode gets quite hot?! Now the car jumps but despite new diode not always on, if not funny you have to start a few times, sounds like the magnetic switch hangs, could that be connected with the diode that this then always burns through? My wife, who drives the car more often, told me that if the starter doesn’t want to, then you use the right elect. Window lifter, then it would work, chance ???? If the car then runs and the engine is cold, the speed varies between 900 and 1400 rpm, that goes like a minute, if you Then there is gas, it’s gone, I have the LMM clamped off once, no change! The hydros also clatter at the start, but lie down after about 2-3 sec. Can someone tell me what the patient is missing??

  • Mondeo 2007 – Does it look like this ?

Hello together. This is what the Mondeo 2007 is supposed to look like. I would say : one case for the next James Bond movie ! But if it really comes like this (or strongly similar), then you can only congratulate Ford. I’m curious about the tournament… Greetings WeKoe And now the pictures :

  • Mondeo MKII purchase advice, reviews???

Hi guys, I’m playing with the idea of getting me a Mondeo MK II BJ 2000 with 130 hp gasoline. Focus etc. I’ve driven a lot, at the moment I still have an Escort so I have a few questions. 1. does the Mondeo MKII also have a good (sporty?) suspension or which equipment has the most recommended one? Of Ford you are used to very good suspensions. 2. Has someone converted the 2 liters to car gas, is that possible without any problems? 3. What are the weak points of the MKII? 4. Are the driving performance of 2 liters i.o.? Or should I rather take a MKIII, I like it better, but it is also more expensive. I think that was the time for this. I thank you for your help already in advance.

  • Castle on the tailgate is not possible ?!?!

Hello dear Ford driver … I have the following problem … With the Mondeo of my mum the lock of the tailgate has not been working for some time, it can only be opened by the key … clear … says now everyone … is also logical … but usually this also works by pressing the button of the tailgate. And that does not react to it any more. the backgate must always be opened with the key, even if the car is open to itself. vt very, if you always, just to invite a little something or something, the car has to make out. especially since this is not good for the motor!… how can I help my mum there?… can I do something at all or how?… or must mna with it to the workshop? many thanks for your tips … and nice greetings from the Opelforum M!CHA
