With my Mondeo (2.0 petrol, 147 hp, 97.000km, year 2002) I was now the first time not at the brand workshop, but at a “free” service. And I immediately regretted it. According to the invoice, I had 15W40; according to Zetterl in the engine room 10W40. So at least a wrong oil. (if that is relevant: from Agip). Legally it is that this workshop would have to repair anyway, if necessary by complaining. Only this takes and lasts and lasts –> until then the Mo So I’ll pay the necessary oil change myself. Only: Can I drive the now filled oil until winter and then change or should I change it? And: Ford recommends 5W30 – but you read everywhere that the Mobil1 0W40 should be the last wisdom. Apart from the price of the oil: Can it be wrong for my engine to take 0W40 or is it at least equally good? Background: I don’t care if the oil change is now 50 EUR m I just want the best oil possible, then the bonnet too and a year of rest.

Shock absorber leaks after 56,000 km
Hello, during the last inspection it was found that the rear right shock absorber is leaking and there oil leaks (in the initial stage). My Mondeo is now 2 1/2 years old and has 56,000 km on it. I bought it almost exactly 2 years ago with 18.500 km as a remarketing vehicle. Since my factory warranty expired in March 06, I hoped that it will be repaired via the remarketing guarantee. But that unfortunately clearly excludes shock absorbers from the warranty! Now I have The prices are for 2 shock absorbers incl. installation. What makes me very surprised is that the ATU and PitStop are the most expensive ones! And the Ford workshop doesn’t cut so fast at all. I’m not sure that the prices are for 2 shock absorbers incl. installation. What makes me very surprised is that the ATU and PitStop are the most expensive ones! And the Ford workshop doesn’t cut so fast at all. Tell me, what would you take for shock absorbers: Monroe or Sachs? Greetings to Pharaoh

Mondeo TDCi with 265 000 km, is it still worth it????????
Hello together, after my car has given up the spirit, I want to get a diesel this time. Actually it should be rather smaller model with a mileage below 100 000 km, but now my father-in-law has offered me his previous service car, a Ford Mondeo Tournament 2.0 TDCi with 115 hp. The Mondeo is 12/03 and has almost full equipment. However, due to his use in the field service he already has a mileage of 265 000 km. Ansons As I was able to read out some typical problems in the forum, such as injection nozzles, injection pump, turbochargers, etc. with the TDCi engines, the high mileage gives me some worry and I don’t know if I should take the car, especially since I would get it for a cheap 4000 €. What do you think, is the purchase of the TDCi at the many kilometers worth it? On which things should ic What do you think of the offer as a whole? What costs would I incur in case of typical defects? Be happy about any help! Thank you very much! Greeting entec P.S. Perhaps as a short supplement. Since my father-in-law had no problems (actually good) during the entire runtime, no new parts were installed (actually bad).

Door Panel
Hello, one of you has already changed the plastic bowls (where the switches are also for the elk. FH)? They become quite unsightly over time. What do the things cost the one at Ford? As far as I could see, they divide from two. Are they just clipped or do you have to dismantle the door panel? I would be very grateful for a few tips & hints…. Greetings, Marco

Hi to everyone! A buddy of mine wants to buy a Mondeo and we wanted to know before what it looks like with the diesel engines. Is the 85Kw undermotorized? How much Nm does it have? Consumption? mileage? Known problems? 96KW > how much Nm? Are running speeds up to 300,000km in? More prone than 85Kw? Consumption? Already in advance many Dan!k!

Mondeo BJ 93 1.6 16v
Hi people so 1 I need winter tires for my Mondeo there which to recommend thought of the Bridgestone Blizzak LM20 in size 185/65/R14. Good choice? because they are not direction bound. 2. I have massive problems with my ford and this expresses itself as follows. I had about 2 months ago flammable dropouts and could not drive or give gas anymore – ergo flammable candles out new in. Wonderfully runs again 2 weeks later the same game again. was between time extr it’s like he doesn’t take the gas and only drives with 1/4 of the ps. It’s always very lain. Can someone tell me what that could be? Exhaust blows and probably rattles on the cat. 3. I would like to read out the error memory but I don’t know where the service plug is and I don’t know what the interface is? obd2? Would be happy about help from the professionals edit: 4. in the bremesen beats au ch the steering wheel very out of brake discs + brake blocks have been changed first I have also looked once but it’s not to see anything. Greeting Dreamsys

Mondeo or Passat
Hello you, I know, funny question. But actually I wanted to get a Passat Variant petroler and had to find that the Mondeo is much cheaper to get. But since I have never owned Ford, I lack the experience. Visually the Mondeo is completely OK. Important to me is the reliability and the rust. For your experiences with your Mooneos of the current series (from 2000) I would be grateful to you. And for convincing arguments per Mondeo, contra Passat also S. Interesting for me are the gasoline engines. Which engine should it be?

Dissatisfied with performance
Hello everyone, am not satisfied with the performance of my v6 at all, seems to me rather like a good 4 cylinders. I already know that it is about 1500 kg which it pulls but that is quite thin what comes out of it (except the consumption of course) from 160 to 210 can work next to it!! Is it also like that with your cars or is it not true with my what?? what else can I do to exclude “mistakes”? otherwise I am already satisfied with the space and equipment but the power of a V6 it is not really greeting carlos

Forget the keys in the engine compartment…
Hello Ford driver, I have a clue from Ford NULL, for this a colleague of mine has a huge problem with his 2003 Mondeo TDCI. I only give here what he (French) told me in broken German: He wanted to control oil, water etc and (as it is probably usual) opened the bonnet with the SChlüssel. After finishing his work he closed the bonnet again and had to find out that he left the key in the engine compartment. And he only has the one (??). Now he can’t get to the key. The FORD workshop wants to bring the car into the workshop to open the bonnet there. Of course he’s afraid that he’ll be ripped off there… Is there any hidden note lock? In the interior or something? I hope I don’t ask anything illegal here… in any case I would need a useful solution by noon tomorrow noon – then I have to go back to noon shift and meet the colleague again… udn if it’s just the fact that there’s no longer a key. ss the Mondeo really needs to be in the workshop. Greetings and thanks already cocker achja – the search unfortunately gives nothing at all about this…
