  • Motor durability

A friend of mine is looking for a new taxi (he had a couple of VW transporters). He wants to try something else now thanks to God. The car has to run day and night, in a scorching heat and cold. About 80 – 100,000km per year. And that is until it falls apart. But he doesn’t want a transit, because he allegedly already heard so much that the engines can’t stand and there was a lot of engine damage. A large construction company with us has allegedly again of transit (last generation) around saddled on VW and Fiat, because of the reason. At the moment he speculates on an Opel Movano (actually he doesn’t want it anyway, because it’s a grotesque box), or Fiat Ducato. I would be for transit ^^ , but you know the reason. Is there something real about it? Thanks already, mfg

  • Sync3 blue screen – now it got me too. Update probably went wrong.

Just in advance: Master Reset (Power + skip forward) and battery for half an hour did not help. Yes, I already read a few threads. Vehicle: 2017er Tourneo Connect Shade image: Blue screen in bright, after a few seconds a little darker. Return camera is not possible. Radio transmitters also do not adjust, volume is adjustable. All other audio buttons dead, touch screen anyway. Update from 2.2 to 3.0. It took several days when driving irregularly. The message that the update was complete, the stick could get out (interestingly no question about a log file). I wanted to confirm this, but was frozen. I stopped, engine off, stick out, exited, finished, waited three minutes, then back in, and from there only blue screen. On the map the following 23 new directories with the following name format were found: interlog_20241118140641 (i.e. with respective date/time) Contents of the directories always a file named u tloggingutility.Interlog_utility.log and the same content InterrogatorLog() + CopyInterrogatorLog + Is there any expert who already has a diagnosis or even a hint on how to get it back in motion? Yes, I have tried reset and battery, see first line.

  • Total engine damage after 30,000km

I’ve already read a lot about the blessings of the new, completely revised 2.0 turbodiesel and would like to contribute another episode: We were surprisingly stranded with our 2018 motorhome at the end of April: Rugging while giving gas, then only power up to 60 kmh, after a short distance it went down to Vmax of 20 kmh. No smoke, no interference, but bubbles in the cooling liquid tank when giving gas. Towed and the workshop said: injector defective. Then ha It took them 1.5 weeks to separate this from the engine block without any accident; it was totally coked. So today the rescue call: Injector is out – but pistons are shot. After 30,000km, with absolutely moderate driving mode (Vmax=100 kmh) and 4 times oil change within the period. Just as I read this, a total damage at this mileage seems to be nothing unusual. The repair workshop far from home calls for the installation of a replacement engine about 9000 EUR. Ford in the village says 10,000 EUR PLUS. The first repairer offers its services for 8000 EUR. EVERYONE I called said “Oh, we know that!”. Apart from the fact that I could constantly beat my head against the wall about this, the question remains: What to do? And (I hardly dare to ask) there may be any more cost-effective alternatives – apart from the big press?

  • Transit Custom 2.2 TDCI DPF Regeneration not possible

Servus, have the problem with our Ford Transit Custom 2.2 TDCI that the MKL lights up. I read out the error with our Hella Gutmann device: 2 Errors: Glow plug Cylinder 3 particle filters full wanted now regeneria, for which the tester wants 80°C temperature. However, this temperature does not get despite highway full gas. The pointer in the cluster instrument had its 90°C on the highway. When standing at the red traffic light the termperature then went down again to approx. 60°C. What is with me k aputt, resp. what is to be done? Is it the thermostat, whereby I think the control the pointer in the instrument cluster, therefore it seems ok. My mistake is apparently the one defective temperature sensor that reports a wrong value to the diagnostic device.

  • Misadvising

Good day, 5 years ago we had a misconduct regarding our diesel vehicle. We had no experience with diesel and no questions about driving behaviour were asked. (New car!) Since we are driving almost only short distance, we now have problems with the combustion drives. These are of course often interrupted which we have to drive extra on the highway. Actually there is only the solution. Sales. I would like to have the tip: Which petroler is simply GUT ? It should e be in good used middle class/lower middle class car. Thanks in advance for tips. • Charging deep discharge battery. Is there anything to consider?

Moin, I want to bring my MK6 back to life after 1.5 years. Of course the battery is flat. This was installed 4 years ago. Can I recharge it again without any problems? With my Bosch C3 it has unfortunately not worked so far, apparently too little battery voltage. I would like to try it now with an older charger. How do I find out if the batteries are still in order and can be charged? Best regards, BAss

  • Transit 08 2.2 TDCI rarely starts KW sensor swapped

Transit BJ 2008 rarely starts. When pushing immediately and running calmly. Crankshaft sensor renewed, Delphi program does not read out any error. Sometimes during the key turn, the entire power grid breaks away. At the re-turning organ it returns. Then comes error “Communication with immobilizer control unit failed” At the start process…. – Engine speed 216 U/min. – 10,6 Volt. – Relay start process = Disactivated – Synchronization camswele crankshaft= yes – Request fuel injection = 0.00 – fuel pulse width = 0.0 ms – fuel distribution requirement = 0 Mpa What could this indicate? Should I read out other values? On Saturday I try to get the 2 keys.

  • Navi in Torneo offset at takeoff

Hello, for some time now the Navi in the Tourneo (BJ2018 / Sync2) doesn’t do what it should. It started about 3 years ago. Only 1x in the quarter and increased now to about 1x in the month. Problem: When I use the Navi and start the car, it moves the car by 300m to 500m. It reacts quite normally. It’s just as if I continue on the meadow or a few cross roads. After about 15min the marking jumps at once exactly on my location, as if nothing had been. It has not yet occurred (until now) when the Navi is running and I continue after a long break. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. The FFH has not yet been able to limit the problem, whether it is due to the antenna, cabling or the sync. But it has extrapolated, there could be costs for troubleshooting and repair of well over 500,-. Various SD cards have already been tested. This can be excluded as a source of error. Has anyone heard of such a phenomenon?

  • Experience with the Tourneo Custom’s automatic transmission

Hello, since also with me in the near future a Tourneo Custom has to be purchased (child 3 is on the way) my question: How satisfied are you with the automatic? I ponder, namely, whether switch or automatic. Towing load etc. are first of all minor. My dealer said that he would advise me from the automatic, which is very sluggish and switches in noticeably every new gear. Also the motor should probably overly high turn (up to 3000 revolutions) and the hand switch clearly Unfortunately, my dealer in Erlangen doesn’t currently have a vehicle to test on site, so I could get a picture of it myself. I’m not a sporty driver, but rather glide away rather comfortably. What are your experiences about the automatic? Is that really so bad? Thank you for your opinions Greeting Olaf

  • ABS plug rots on the hydroblock

Maybe someone can help. In my 98er-transit a Bosch ABS with the number 99VB-2C219-CA is installed. Connection and connector plug are lost. Hydroblock is needed. On the supply line hangs the number 98VB-2C011-CA. Can anyone say where I get the supply line odr someone still has a plug cut off on the wire harness? And yes, you can repair the plug and replace the defective pins. A brewed wire harness, or plug to replace should be afac be here.
