  • Backlight rear right plastic defective

Hello a question can be found at a Ford Escort Convertible built in 1997, still a backlight right back, so practically only the cover, maybe someone else has something to do with it?

  • Installation original sliding roof in Scorpio

Hello, wants to install the original sliding roof in my Scorpio. I already had a donor (slaughter vehicle) – sliding roof (manual) and sky are still in there. Therefore the question to the experts: How elaborate is this? Does the roof sky go off without any problems? I know, such a conversion is nonsense. But that’s why I ask 😉

  • Sierra Bj 92 brakes V/H

Hello together. I brought my Sierra 2.0 Clx (Bj 92 with 74Kw) to the workshop this morning because my brakes have sanded. Just came the call back. Except for one wheel all brakes were there. The front of the cylinder is rusted and does not stand back by itself. Ergo blocks burned and slices over. In the back the same problem with the drum brakes. In addition, one of the Holmes is probably rusty. According to the first estimate of the workshop probably about 1000 Euro. If I now consider that I I’m glad that it has come up now. It doesn’t happen that a complete braking system for the Sierra has to be delivered cheaply? so long TTime (Kreis Heinsberg)

  • Cooler exchange at Scorpio 2,0l 16V !

Did I remove my defective cooler today, and now the following question? It is an automatic transmission! There are 2 extra locks in the cooler! When I had cut off the hoses a brown fluid ran out of the thin one the automatic transmission oil was? If so why does it go into the water cooler? Does the water cooler still have an extra cooling circuit inside that cools the automatic oil? Much didn’t run out of it but how do I refill the automatic oil again? Where can I find the filling opening? And how do I change the water pump or better say how do I get the V-belt down? Changing the pump wouldn’t be the problem! Greeting Chris

  • 1.6 CVH 90hp Bj.87 Speed fluctuations when warm

Dear Ford friends, I need your swarm knowledge about my old 87 XR3i convertible with 90hp KAT. I bought the car as an annual car and so far 171.000km on the speedo. Unfortunately, I don’t drive much with it anymore, also because it is in my mother’s garage for reasons of space. Yesterday the first time out of the garage took this year to drive to the Tüv. Tüv passed almost without any problems, only the Lambda value we have to manipulate a bit down over a maintenance of the exhaust the rear. Otherwise perfect condition, completely stainless and also the brakes impeccable. Over all the years very few defects had, sometimes a hydro-punch, pressure storage fuel, thermostat. At the very beginning times quantity divider / thaw disc, but that is 34 years ago. Now I have a sawing idle when it is warm. About all 3-4sec the speed goes down and if you give gas at this moment, you notice that it runs only on 3 cylinders. The Tüv did nothing, was j a while, even cold it runs clean. When driving I don’t notice it. Do you have an idea where to start looking or swap? False air, Lambda probe? Thank you in advance. Greeting TKS2007

  • Rust on the doors

Hello, well, now I also have rust at all the doors of the Mondeo (EZ 4/2002). There is a guarantee against rusty (12 years). My Ford workshop will send a report to Cologne. There will then decide what is done. In my opinion it is impossible to get the rust at my doors permanently under control. An exchange of the doors would be the best and in the long term probably also the most economical. Who has experience with the topic and can give me tips?

  • Advice for Ford newcomer 🙂

Hello first of all I’m new here in the forum, which is due to the fact that I have only driven Opel up to now (currently Astra F Caravan with the C16SE 1.6l 8V 101 PS Bj 1994) I would like to drive something else. Therefore I looked at a used Ford at a dealer yesterday. This is one: Ford Mondeo 16V GLX (4/5 door) [Fliehheck] 71500 km 85 KW (petrol) EZ: 12/97 Exhaust standard D3 TÜV/AU 01/09 Automatic gearbox The vehicle has ABS, Z entral lock with radio, el. immobilizer, 5 headrests, electric outside mirror, rear and front middle armrest, split folding rear seat, electrically adjustable rear seat, adjustable steering wheel, car paint painted bumper, air conditioning and is checkbook maintained. The last customer service was at the beginning of February this year. The car looks very well maintained and comes from 1st hand. inside it actually looks like new, steering wheel is not picked up, pedal rubbers look gu The paint is up to a small spot on the rear mirror OK The vehicle starts without problems and is very quiet. Engine runs around in N gear at around 7-900 revolutions. The gears can also be switched easily (so: P-D-N-R-1-2 um, I think the order is wrong, but you know what I mean ) What else should such a car cost max.? I would get it with a year warranty (as I said, by dealer) Which weakness? Is the engine power for the car OK? I tested the scales only once on the road. He wasn’t as sparkling as my Opel, but I found it OK (how does it look on the highway) once a big thanks FLOh

  • Navi-DVD and copy protection

Would like to add the current DVD for the touchscreen Navi. But after I had quite a treble *) with the previous version, I just want to put a backup copy into the Navi. Only, is that possible? Is the current 2006/07 DVD copy protected? Does the Navi recognize a self-burned copy? *) After a Navi Software UpDate in the Ford workshop, the DVD was so badly scratched that it was no longer recognized. I say (which is also true) the DVD was OK before. Typical “pronouncement against statement” whose end will probably be in court.
