  • Ford FT300 to 3.5t load? ASSISTANCE!!!

Dear community I need your help. We are about to get a “Ford FT 300 M TDCi Trend” used but in good condition by a known and trusted dealer. Because we know that the car is good in shot we want to get that from this dealer rather than a FT350 from a foreign dealer. The car has according to papers a permissible total weight of 3000kg. Empty weight is 1850-2161kg. Since we are 1-2 times a week and 2 times a year more than 14days e will be fully loaded* and will be on the road with complete musician’s cutlery, we come easily over the 3000kg. *fully loaded means: 6-9 people + luggage, 1-2 guitar boxes, bass box, drums+hardware, guitar/bass amplifier. Effectboards, small parts. I have already inquired about the (unfortunately unfriendly) Ford dealer around the corner and found out what I was afraid. That “Ford FT 300 M TDCi Trend” is from the official side not intended for a load. Sure, with Neuw but now that I think that the FT 300 certainly has no other chassis than the FT350 (3.5t maximum permissible weight) I think that there is maximum need for repairing the tyres and suspension, or do I overlook something? What do you think, to whom can I turn to to find out if it is feasible to charge the car and can you tell me roughly what that comes to us about? Thank you so much. Ben-John

  • Truck registration, car control and CO2 emissions

Hello Ford municipality, I’m new here, but I’ve already read hard-working articles, very informative. We have our Custom Combi now since 18.02.16 and so far I’m very satisfied. He has now about 1000 km on it, so I’m still driving in. Today we got the letter from the main customs office for the car tax and must annoy me. Our custom is registered as a truck, but the tax was now set as a car with 431,00 euros. After consultation with my seller he has not yet e Feedback from customers get that the car is not registered as a truck. At the customs office (where my tax notice was issued) I called, which said because rear mounts are for seats inside, it is taxed as a car. At local customs office contact point (is now responsible for the car tax) I still want to call or drive to find out what conditions our station must have to apply to the tax office as a truck. I have checked the tax calculation and I have come to the conclusion that they have calculated a CO2 emission of 206g/km. I quickly checked the value of these cars on Mobile. See there, between 168 -189 g/km I found. So, now I thought that this was maybe something wrong in the vehicle letter/scheme. But was not like that. Here are the 209 g/km inside. There is a But so I (and you too) pay 2 € per gram. Now my question, how much g/km do you have inside? In the vehicle registration you will find this information in column V7. Would I be happy to get some data from you. Important would be the PS and possibly box, combi and what might still be relevant for this information. On the current Ford page only the data of the new Transit Custom 2016 are still inside.

  • Help I can’t handle my transit battery

Hello guys, I bought a transit in 2007, with 101Ps diesel engine from an auction. The vehicle had been in the safe for a long time so the battery was empty. Now to my problem. In the vehicle was an 80Ah battery and when I looked under the driver’s seat another 80Ah battery was connected. Must say that I have no idea whether both were or must have been there. Just what I notice is that I have both batteries on it but also have to say that I have not know if both are ok, that vehicle only starts when I bridge it on the front over mass and the small red pins at the engine!! Now I have read on the internet about additional battery and switching relays ???? How should I proceed and test what???? Do my vehicle need two batteries??? Maybe my previous owner didn’t know that either??!! Please for help Thank you By the way, I have developed the driver’s seat is better. Greeting Marko

  • Heating does not start in extreme cold

N’ Evening, it’s hardly a bit colder (in my case here in the north-east of the cold pole of Germany in the last days), already the (works-side) stand-up heating is ticking. Yesterday I noticed that she had to run from the time in the morning (-14 °C) but she didn’t do that (although the display said that the additional heating was running). Today I paid more attention to it: After switching on “turning up” as always. Then, however, if actually that “turbine noise” ” should use, it “clicks” at periodic intervals only under the car, which after a short time stops again (it then only remains an indicator). When driving, the (stand) heating switches to it after a certain time. After setting off immediately again tried out. And see there: The heating then also works standalone. So it looks as if the low temperatures in the completely cold car somehow affect the stationary heating. Is that what I wanted to do now, according to the motto “it’s not a bug it’s a feature”? Can’t I really believe it, though; the heating should be there to preheat the car (engine and interior). Problem is: Until I am at Ford it probably works again – and then to hear “We can’t do anything, we have to see (in case of warranty) with our own eyes”. And with the frost is soon over again. Maybe someone also has an experience? n Tip what it might be like (I was on December 31st – so it shouldn’t be on the diesel, it also drives quite normally). Greetings AnKa

  • Clock, immobiliser and temperature indicator

Hello people, I have the feeling that the topic with the “oil smoke” may not be taken care of, because it may not be true for some or not interested. Therefore I open a new thread and have the following problem / or problems: I do not know if this is a Ford disease or not, but I found nothing here to my concern – and indeed the LED flashes from the immobilizer and the minute pointer continues. (That is, clock set to 18 o’clock, hal However, the Escort does not have an alarm system, so the LED probably flashes through the pulse of the clock. In addition, when I turn on the ignition, the LED only glows very weakly. I once measured the calm current, because sometimes the battery was all. This was at 0.008 Ampere and for the appropriate pulse of the clock to 0.010 and sometimes a peak of 0.028 Ampere. Well, is actually not much, some vehicles have even 0.2 A as normal…. A Is this a short circuit in the clock with the LED? Is this known or similar with Ford? —————– I also noticed today, when the engine was warm and turned off, that after 1 hour the temperature indicator was still on the center, only at ignition the temperature indicator went down. Is there also what is known? Actually, the temperature indicator with ignition is supposed to be g go out on 0 and don’t stop the tank watch. Does someone know something about these things or has it been with Ford several times? Thank you very much already 🙂 Dear greetings Sebastian Oh yes, for those who don’t know the oil smoke thread:This is a FORD Escort Kombi – 1.6 L 90PS – Built 1998 with Infarot remote control and with the last version of the speedometer unit and is not Ghia

  • Do you copy keys or better buy a new car? 🙁

Today was at the friendly Ford dealer on site, I have to have a key made, only the red one. The friendly seller called prices, which I simply can not believe: 150 Eu for two blanks plus loops plus learning the keys, I come to 200+ euros. Isn’t that cheaper? I got the tip to buy a lock set, where do I get such a cheap one and what do I have to pay attention to? Why is tournament lock and taillock lock differentiated? Gru ß Micah
