Just I looked again oil and after over two hours the engine block is still hot and not properly cooled down. Is the normal ???

Passing beam no longer works
Hello Together, a friend drives a Ford Escort Bj. 97 in which the dipped beam no longer works, high beam can be switched on. Bulbs and fuses are OK. Can it lie on the relay R8 for dipped light? I folded the fuse box down and saw that there are two more brown relays with the same shape next to the relay, can I take one of the other relays to check the dipped beam and fit them at all? Since my friend from Har z 4 lives and is not good at checkout I don’t want to just buy a new relay on suspicion.

Ruckles under load (1998er 90PS-16V)
Hello, I bought a Ford Escort for the winter. It is a 2-door, built 06/1998 with 130,000km. Engine is the 1.6l-16V with 90hp (Zetec). So far, so good. He drove the first 200km without any problems. Then I drove on Monday 30km, in the rain. Without any problems. Then he stood 8h in the rain and I drove again. Everything went well, but after about 3km he started stuttering or jerking at the start. Also on the further 30km (in the rain) he started to stutter from time to time. This is done from about 4000 rpm and in the range of 2000 rpm, if you want to speed up with a high load. If you glide like this, you don’t notice any jerking. It’s as if he doesn’t ignite a cylinder properly. That’s how it seems to me. Okay, today I drove again. The car was in the garage yesterday and today I left again. Already at the first start he started jerking. Also when accelerating now ALWAYS the stuttering. Always, if I want to speed up, rub t he. Strangely enough, he also made “beating” noises today when he jerked. At irregular intervals these sounds came. Sounds like the beating of a short circuit. Comes out of the engine compartment. Well, I put the car off for the first time. My first guess was the ignition cables (also because of this “stroke”: But externally they look good, not intimidated places. Also, I don’t see any spots of sparking. What are your experiences like this? What else could it be? What can I test again? Thank you for your tips! Tom PS: What do you charge for the ignition cable for the engine if it really is? Does someone else happen to have some lying around?

Ford Escort Ghia (Needed) How?
Hello! I am new here in the forum and also fresh starter. I have now saved (as a trainer) 2,000 € and wanted to buy a used car. The car is a Ford Escort Ghia with mileage: 86tkm TüV New until 12/2011 ABS / Servo / Airbag for 1850€ (in the annex you have a picture of the car) I liked the car immediately (external / inside and also the pure mileage) Now my question: The car has new TÜV! If I now for example the dealer at the next on Monday (by appointment) pay the money and he gives me the keys what do I need to drive the car to my home? My father said that would be quite simply that I could just drive home without insurance and everything (is only a KM) but I have read I have to get a cover card from the insurance company and a transfer license from the road traffic office is that correct or does it run differently? (A little confused because of the transfer). M fG Severen // Good slide

Problems with stationary gas
For a few months there has been a problem with the standing gas of my Escort. I have a 1.4 to 74 hp BJ 1994. It is very different. After starting the engine there are actually never any problems, but from time to time it happens when you go into idle that the speeds change between approx. 900 and 400 and in the worst case the car runs out. Usually it is enough if the car stands a few times to press on ́s gas and then to lie again permanently at approx. 1000 revolutions. After a certain time, the speed starts to jump at a distance of approx. 2 seconds. As if you would always step on the gas. Jumps then always from 800 to 1000, then again to 800 then again to 1000 and always in approx. 2 – 1 second distance. As said, during normal driving there are no problems, even in the range of approx. 1500 revolution no difficulties, only sometimes in idle, but sometimes there are also no problems at all. What do you think? I don’t know any advice. Hope you can help me!!

Slicing noise brake rear
Hello, problem: some time ago (November was it still) came from behind right grinding noises while braking. I thought: “Clear case, seller shitted you, brake pads behind are not new, no matter.” So in the course of my bike storage surgery I put down the drums, last Friday (the grinding had disappeared for some 100 km, about 2 weeks was now quiet), result: The pads are top, let it be 20 %, which are down there (have directly factorynew beside content Okay. So I didn’t think about anything. Now the grinding noise just came back today, back right. Just like that. Only when braking, and the stronger you brake, the louder it gets (for the first time at least, I didn’t try full braking). What is it? What does it cost?

Ford Escort goes out and stays out for 1-2 hours.
Good day, I have a problem with my Ford Escort 16v Ghia ’95 with 150tkm. Since recently my car finds it very funny to go out and then nothing to do. Last week I was on the road at 140km/h and once the revometer went from 3500 to 0 rpm – engine was out of ignition but funny white still there, have never seen anything like that. At the restart – battery voltage is present, but does not start. If someone knows the problem or someone has a solution? Would be really nice, because the car is usually needed daily. MfG Lars

What oil for the Ka???
I have read today by chance in the operating instructions, which must be filled in in the Ka 5w40. So far he has only got 10w40. What do you think of: Shell Helix Plus 5w40 or Liqui Moly Synthoil High Tech 5w40. Both are reasonable from the price and are fully synthetic. He is supposed to get good oil, has got a new nock, does not take oil until now (75,000 km) and that should remain so despite extreme short distance.
