Hello and good evening, I now have another Escort GAL 1.6 L, 90 HP, year 1993 (by the way my fifth Ford in seventeen years) and have a question. Today I wanted to have it a bit warm in the car and had to find out that it was nothing. It came only lukewarm, rather cold air. The hose to the heat exchanger of the heater was hot, the other of the heat exchanger was almost cold. I assume that the heat exchanger is too. Fortunately I have another one. Now my questions : How do I exchange this thing? Is it from the outside or do I have to disassemble the dashboard? How difficult is the thing and how is the workflow? Can someone give me a few tips? Thank you very much in advance, because I know from experience (with my previous cars I have always found answers here), that there are many competent experts present in this forum.

Lower cylinder head!
Hi, I don’t know any more.I have built a modified cylinder head (by a specialist company) from a 130 Ps Zetec on my 105 Ps Escort.Since then, small flames have come out of the throttle valve while giving fast gas and it is jerking when accelerating. In addition, oil comes out of the air filter and it is a fairly large overpressure in the valve cover.Today I checked the control times for 3 times and corrected some more. The problem is still. Of an alleged 130 Ps engine, you wanted to install, but the one connection from the petrol line did not fit.In addition, the nozzles have the same number as the fixtures and also the red point.I have read something that gets the banging off if it gets too little fuel, so maybe then you would have to get bigger nozzles in (but would that explain the oiling?)or does the control unit have to be updated or maybe the control times now have to be sent quite differently? It’s also the camshafts and the throttle flap of the 130 Ps Zetec, so he ran wonderful before.I really don’t know any more.Would be great if someone could tell me something about it. Thanks already!

Gas hangs – clutch step and speed remains at 2700U/min
Moinsen! So, you need your advice again: When I step on the clutch during the ride, the gas stops at approx. 2500 – 2700 rpm or goes up to this speed. If you get to the stand, so below 10km/h the speed falls again to the normal 900 rpm. Problem does not always occur. Rather when it is cold. When it is warm it is as good as not noticed. It gets really annoying. I have dirty, not properly closing throttle valve, defective throttle valve I checked the gas train and all moving parts and treated them with WD40. Does anyone know anything about it? Greetings

1.8 TD (BJ. 97) Tunier – Presumably new coupling segment breakage
Hello you out there, And indeed I have the following problem because I wanted to start the car today after a trip and kicked through the clutch but then it made “knack” and the clutch pedal remained on the ground again and immediately it reminded me of my experience from August 2nd 2010 there happened to me the same thing and I had a new clutch segment installed at the dealer. Now I ask myself the question, if it is the clutch segment again, I can somehow the dealer there a Because it can’t be that a new clutch segment breaks again within 4 months, does it? Does one of you have any idea? Have put the car from the ADAC again in front of the dealer’s door would like to secure me, in order not to run in as a complete fool. Greetings Tobi

Blinker, wiper, blower heater dead Escort BJ91
Infinite drama. Supposedly needs a new fuse box.Why ever. I don’t know what the error is exactly (whether they know that??) … anyway he says new box. However, it was only replaced a few years ago.Why I don’t really know. And now a new one should be due again …. The fuse box is supposed to cost 2,300 euros at Ford. Well thank you.He bitches somewhere cheaper to get used to. Although the car has been standing there since 14.5 !! he started only last Friday seriously.Never this workshop again. Does the whole box really have to be new? Or where is the error? You get no clear statements what exactly is broken and where. All 3 fuses are on the top right side next to each other and all 3 are intact.

Escort MK7 RS2000 Engine clack, tacker…!?
Hello dear forum… In the meantime, the RS has decided to tacker quietly, or to clack, or whatever. You don’t hear it in the car, neither at idle, nor during the ride. Even if you are standing at the height of the driver’s door (at the most when the bonnet is open), you can hear it when you are standing at the front of the vehicle. It seems that the noise is independent of the speed. Unfortunately, I don’t know so well here, mine also know where the I have attached two pictures, there I have marked the position(s). Also have an MP3 where the noise is heard, while I hold the microphone near the source of the noise. My tip would be currently ignition coil or spark plugs, can this be true at all? Thank you for your help… Sincerely, Marc

Clutch defective?
Hello this here should be my first post here and it starts right with a huge problem 😛 This morning I put a piece back to get better out of the parking space. Then the first gear. Feels funny. Now the second. Didn’t. Car pushed back. Now the gears go in, when the car is off so the gear is not running. When I ignite it shoots directly off… That would have to be a defective clutch or? But my problem is, how do I build the part What steps do I take at first? I don’t have a lift but very good bucks and a good jack. I also have many tools. Since I am a trained locksmith, I can handle it quite well and pragmatically. I would also like to light it ^^. My father also helps me, however, he hasn’t changed a clutch. I have to go back to work in Switzerland on the 30th. I have a vacation for so long. Please help me.

Ford Escort Mk7 Lowering
Hey, I have some questions about lowering my Mk7 ( 55kw / 75 ps), 1.4 liters wanted to make him lower, but have now read frequently that you can’t hear Cd anymore (because of jerking), and that after the time it probably goes very much on the back. Now my question, what’s right about it and what do I have to pay special attention to, has vil. someone tips what I should have built for spring etc., so that exactly the things addressed do not occur, and what does that cost about? Thanks for your H Mfg BlAcKbOoM

Idling problems Zetec 1.6 16v
Hello guys, I have an Escort tournament MK7 with 1.6l Zetec engine 90hp and unfortunately have problems with the idle speed. When I start the engine, the engine always turns up to over 2000. when I drive, it even gives gas on my own. When I step on the clutch, it turns up to 4000 already. but all this only when it is cold. Last week I changed spark plugs, air filters, oil and oil filters, but unfortunately did not bring anything. Yesterday I then realized that the Crankcase ventilation valve was completely emptied. I then took that apart and tightened the spring a little bit and re-learned the control unit. Since then it spins up to 3000 or even higher at the start and then fluctuates extremely between 1000 and 3000 in idle mode. I cleaned the idle control valve already. Unfortunately did not bring anything. Does anyone have any idea? Thanks already Marc
