Hello, my Panda used about 3000ml of oil with 12000km. The engine was completely dry. Lt warranty is 400ml/1000km in the standard range. Is this even right to protect itself? The workshop found that in the intake bridge oil stands. The compression pressure was ok. Because of the still too low “consumption” I have no claim on a new engine. Now I am woman and not particularly enthusiastic about constantly looking under the hood. The employees mean a car that no oil ve I hear the opposite from all sides. Incidentally, I never had the oil consumption with my old carossen, if not the cylinder head seal was defective. Finally a new car and yet again problems. Does the oil permanently damage the catalyst? What about the pollutant ejection in the case of burnt oil? What consequential damage can an oil burn in the engine compartment have? …….

Your Fiat Grande Punto
The magazine “Auto Test” will soon carry out a second-hand car test by Fiat Grande Punto. It will also quote opinions of the members of MOTOR-TALK. If you would like to participate in this test, I would simply ask you to reply to the following brief statements: 1. Your Grande Punto: Year of construction, model and motorization? 2. How many kilometers have you driven with it and what proportion does urban traffic have? 3. Number of required workshop stays e/cost: too low, appropriate or too high? 4. Do you particularly like the Grande Punto …? 5. Are you particularly angry at the Grande Punto …? 6. Would you buy the Grande Punto again? Would I be happy if one or the other takes part. Please don’t write too much, short quotes rather have the chance to be published (at least if they are representative). Greeting, Bert

Please help me !!! My Fiat Punto 60 Selecta SX consumes too much gasoline !!!
Hello, by a coincidence I came across this forum and hope that maybe I will be helped =) For 4 months I am a proud owner of a Fiat Punto 60 Selecta, built in 1995. Only later I noticed that the car consumes too much fuel. Yesterday, 17L/100KM !!! Besides, a lot of smoke comes out of the exhaust and this stinks too ! The car is running 58.0000 KM & I also have to say that it has an automatic transmission since I have the cart of a granny In addition, if I drive & so want to drive around the 30km/h (also at other speeds) and do not push through the accelerator pedal, but just step slightly, the vehicle jerks. =( Only if I push it full push, it does not jerk. Now to my question: Does someone have an idea of what it might be? Where the error could be? Which parts would have to be renewed, what is defective? What would it cost & if I let it be done with a Fiat dealer or where else sol l? data from the car : power: 44/60 (kW/PS) transmission type: automatic engine displacement: 1242 cm3 cylinder: 4 I hope someone can help me !!! Fals is still something unclear, get in touch with me … Thank you already in advance !!!

Battery indicator lights up when braking,KW cooks -punto 176 from 99
Hello, I hope someone can help me. Since yesterday, the battery light lights up when braking. After stopping, find out that cooling water also boiled. During the ride, it only flashed off and on very briefly. However, as mentioned above, during braking constantly. What to do. Can it somehow be related to the fact that radio was installed 3 days ago. Would be grateful for quick help. Punto 176 from 99 Gruss Susanne

Multijet (Croma) at low temperatures
Hello to each other, yesterday our Croma had no desire at -8°C after approx. 1km. He ran only in idle, at start-up tests rod the engine. Feeled like fuel shortage. On Saturday we were still driving at approx. -12°C about 25 km, without problems even with larger load. At the workshop to which we towed the Croma yesterday he jumped this morning without problems. According to workshop master not the single cold-salverician. There are in the fuel system at CR / MJ Dieseln a typical problem? The diesel itself should not flocculate up to -22°C. Water in the K ́filter should have already caused problems on Saturday, shouldn’t it? Are there any tips or experiences? MfG hunt3

Arguments FOR or AGAINST Fiat
So this is certainly not a topic that deals with problems, but rather serves the interest. I would simply be interested in what would speak for you in a new purchase FOR or AGAIN a Fiat.. ( Own experience, own opinion ) The idea came because I always find it insanely unthinkable when it comes to whether to buy a VW ( Polo, etc… ) or a Fiat ( Punto, Bravo etc… ), and many simply poking on VW, and the differences not really and only sit on the advantages opposite Fiat (After 100tkm you can buy a new one, ”Bug In Allen Teilen”, rustleube etc. ) So post your own opinion for the sake of interest.. New pears for Punto 188 – Which ones do you have inside?
Jo, happy new one. When I went home tonight after the party, I saw how modest these Mtec SuperWhite pears are. It all looks nice with white light and so, but you don’t look good with them. Had already the nightbreakers inside, but also these had not convinced me. The best so far were still from the hardware store beside somehow. They had cost me 12€, but also quickly give up the mind. If not a good tip comes, w Which pears do you have inside?

Punto 188 1.2 16V no longer starts
Today I have to bother you with a problem. The Punto 1.2 16V of my wife (year 2002, almost 60.000km) has not started any more. Yesterday (at -15°) the starter worried disheartened, but the engine did not jump on. Although the battery is new (about 3 weeks old), I then got it with starting support cable. In the afternoon after work the car started without any problems. This morning (-17°) the starter ordered even weaker (with no breakdown of the on-board voltage with clock extinguishing e tc. as in the case of a weak battery), did itself with every turn heavier and then did not turn at all. With starting aid the same, first some revolutions, then nothing at all. All cockpit lights or the interior lighting shine strongly and do not become darker during the start attempt. The CODE lamp extinguishes after a short time, so I close the immobilizer already. My wife does not drive a short distance, but about 60km per route highway to work. I have to i attached starting aid cable measured the voltage at the Punto, it was 14V on (donor car ran). Today in the day my wife tried to start again several times (hoping for a miracle). At first nothing was done at the starter. In the third attempt in the afternoon a bright electric motor buzzing suddenly sounded from the front, as if the starter is no longer coupled. A friend (Fiat-Mech.), whom I described the problem by telephone, said it sometimes there were problems with freezing condensation water in the tail muffler at Punto. Can it be that despite the long driving distance (but currently at low speed due to the rhinestones conditions) the condensation water in the end pot does not evaporate, because it is just so cold outside? And thus everything freezes at night? That would possibly explain the ever heavier turning of the starter, or ? Or does someone find another possibility ? sst a frozen interlinking suspect, or ? Or during the organ tests what is burned?? Unfortunately the starter is terribly installed in the car, you can almost not get without stage …
