Hello, can someone enlighten me here? I had a new cylinder head seal, timing belts etc. renewed on 12.1.2009 at 48269 Km. Now in March the heating started to spin ( cold, sometimes warm etc. ) I got the tip here in the forum. to vent everything once. Then it went a few days. But somehow there was always too little cool water in it, when opening the lid it rose again to max. Today I noticed that only the circulation to the heating became warm but not the Heat exchanger etc. Completely ventilated by expert again and filled up water. After 4 hours started, the thing ran only on 3 pötten. after another 2 hours bad jump, gas given and everything ran again but the water was bagged under min. ( Comes when the lid is opened again ) under the car no water outlet fessable. I have no white exhaust gases and even if only starting oil foam on the oil cover. I would nevertheless tap the head seal, can the nac h a year and about 16000 Km again be through?? Can the o.a. Symtome appear there?? Unfortunately I have changed my workshop bill but the service booklet stamped and signed where the works are listed. Can one use it to the workshop and one has something like guarantee? Thanks in advance Frank

Fiat Panda 169
Hello Together, out of ignorance, I bent the threshold fold at the jack points at my Fiat Panda when changing tyres with my shunting car lifter. Not so tragic: I bent everything straight again, I wanted to do the measures for rust protection on the weekend because the front wheels were not free due to unfavorably glued weights, I brought my Panda to car parts trade U., and had the weights re-glued. At the assembly of the wheels ha the fitter also raised the panda to the threshold folds. The threshold folds are now totally bent at the front again. I drew the attention of the fitter. He said that I myself was the causer. The special conditions of the lift were rubberized and in a threshold fold without any damage this would not have happened. On my request, whether there are no other lifting points, the fitter told me that everything was correct. Can you confirm this statement? Unfortunately, the illustration in the manual is far from illuminating.

Fiat Panda 1000 – What to do?
Hello together, since I found a lot of information about the Panda in this great forum, I decided to register here to find help. I have the following problem: In September last year I bought a Fiat Panda 1000 Bj. 94 from private, a good piece, it seemed to me. And also drove reliably into the spring, until it started: The first symptom, was that the heating did not go any more, so I once filled up cooling water, what the Now I can replenish at least two litres per 100 km, and it eats them. Yesterday he stopped and has a suspicion of defective cylinder head seal. (Probably I have not taken good care of the car, I have to confess to my shame, but I am willing to invest again in the good piece of work properly.) My workshop of trust means, if we would renew the ZKD+Zahnriebel+Zündkabel und -kerzen Although he thinks that then it would still not be safe if the head had no hair cracks. That’s a lot of money in addition, the plan was to bring the little ones through the TÜV again in August. What, according to my workshop, would cost another 1000 euros, as there are still some defects to be corrected (e.g. rusty spots welding, handbrake etc.) Now he is standing in front of the workshop and I don’t know what to do, should I have the ZKD done, or even try it myself? I need a neutral opinion from someone who doesn’t want to make money on me. So, long speech, short meaning, I need help!

Fiat’s Quality Offensive 2008-Little light, lots of shadows…
Moin, after expecting our third child in October, my wife and I decided that a bigger car had to come for her. After various practical tests at numerous manufacturers the vans in the program have finally landed at Fiat (and the Ulysse). So at the end of February a Ulysse 2.0 JTD was ordered in the equipment line Emotion with a few extras for a good 35,000 euros. On May 15th then the handover of the vehicle to us, the idea could so start… Reclaimed defects at handover: – 2 paint damage to the bonnet & one under the li. exterior mirror – li. front shock strip on the front apron has a deep scratch – scratch on the aluminum decor strip over the glove compartment – roof rack crooked and oil-lubricated Reclaimed defects one day after handover: – roof sky over the sliding doors contaminated with black hand prints – light setting far too deep – light bulb from the li. long-distance spotlight loose, clatters cheerfully through the area – on the re. headlight lacks a fixing screw – insulation mat of the bonnet not properly fixed And as if that were not enough after the entry time (1500km) a spontaneous power loss at speeds between 2000-2500 u/min. has been added. For this, according to our dealer Fiat “a software update in work since this problem is known for a long time” … When this comes he does not know however… The above mentioned defects has meanwhile Fiat without any faults (ununfortunately) d to the satisfaction), except for the ruckelei of the engine. In the meantime, however, the inner window seal of the driver’s door dissolves into pleasure… Some may now consider us pingy or even pedantic, but whether a new car costs 10,000 or 100,000 euros, I expect a car in impeccable condition for this! And we did not get this from Fiat, about gap measures that are under all sows we do not want to talk at all and that one apparently as beta tester fun The dealer said: “You have a 5 year guarantee, so long as Fiat has to fix the stuff for you for free.” Is this the right implementation for Fiat’s great quality offensive? I dare to doubt it very much and wait for the things that are still coming… Greeting, Andre

Fiat Grande Punto 199 – discreet lowering springs – Recommendations / Pictures
Moin moin! My girlfriend had aluminium wheels mounted yesterday (15″. Now the car looks very “high-legged”. We would like to lower it discreetly, so a maximum of 30-35mm per axle. Are there certain springs that you can recommend there? Optimally, entry-free, but does not have to be mandatory. My girlfriend has no plan of lowering it at all, I have made it a bit (have made it 2 times so far. I know that Eibach or H&R are definitely the best qualitatively, but I am interested in your opinion/experience with different manufacturers. If someone of you has lowered his Grande Punto, I would also be happy about one or the other picture! I hope someone here will help me, even if I am not from your camp Greeting Wahlencia

Brakes Fiat Punto 176 – Help
Hi, I’ve been hearing a very loud noise for about 1 month when I brake strongly. The stronger I brake, the stronger the noise. I think it comes from the front right. It sounds like a S-Bahn that accelerates, just a little duller. I guess the brake pads are down or? Therefore I would like to buy new brakes. My workshop wants to get a lot of 190 euros for the front brakes, only material. At Ebay there is already for 34 euros. I would therefore like to go to your competes. Can someone recommend me a set at ebay, which suits me and offers a good quality? Here is the search:http://shop.ebay.de/?… Is a Fiat Punto 176 BJ 97 with 60 hp and 14 inch rims and with ABS thank you in advance!

Spare parts costs and repair costs at Fiat – high?!
Good evening dear Fiat community, we are looking for a small, practical (I say cute as a woman) second car. Now we stumbled over the Panda and over a Honda Jazz (who said goodbye after the test drive!) I fell in love with the Fiat Panda. Now a friend who drove a long Fiat told me to leave the fingers of it. The purchase is not so expensive, but that comes after it. The spare parts sin d sow expensive and thus the favorable purchase price is compensated. Likewise the inspections should be quite expensive – everything in contrast to German manufacturers Since I have never had a Fiat now my question to the owners, whether it is really like that and how reliable such a panda is. Is there many quirks or something like that??? I thank you now for your help LG and nice weekend – once again in the snow 🙁 sunny
