  • Question about Fiat quality

Since I got my Uno there are always so stupid comments from a buddy (drives Ford Mondeo Bj.94) that Fiat was only good 50 years ago and now only writes red numbers and has no fucking quali. I for my part am satisfied with my Fiat. But I my Ford is not better either. Or? Grade this baby rattle engine from Fiesta Grade the new Multijet diesel engine from Fiat has succeeded very well. So who do you think is better from the processing. Ford or Fiat? Who offers? I’m interested in your opinion.

  • Fiat Panda braking system + chassis

Hello, I would like to install a larger brake system in my Panda because it gets much more power later, but did not find anything so I wanted to know if the brake system from other Fiats fit on it e.g. from the Uno Turbo or from Punto GT. With suspensions and dome struts there is the same problem, if the suspensions for the Uno also fit in the Panda then I would have a huge choice. Does someone know something more precisely whether this all fits ?

  • how best to drive in (1,2 8V)?

Since yesterday, I am proud owner of a day registration Lancia Y Cosmopolitan (EZ 10/2003, 0 km). Engine: 1.2 8V with 60 hp. Now the question arises: How do I drive it perfectly in order to have as long fun as possible on the Y? – Rather highway, country road or city? Rather constant speed/speed or changeable? – How many km do I have to drive it in? – Any speed upper limits during this period? – When first oil change? And what oil should I put in? I would like to take a fully synthetic one. The seller said that I had to make a change only at 20 tkm, but that seems too late to me (especially because on the first few tkm of a new engine especially a lot of abrasion arises). – Is the 1.2 8 V actually a FIRE engine? How is the engine overall regarding life, reliability, full-gas strength? – What else do I have to keep in mind? A lot of questions, I know… But I would be very grateful if you would give me some (or better ALL ;-)) THANKS and greetings! hgoeppert

  • Loss of power Fiat Seicento Turbo

Dear Turbo-friends I drive a Seicento 1.1 Novitec Turbo. The vehicle has only 26,000 km on the hump and always ran impeccable. For a few weeks I record a significant power loss. At full load no more power, but when the pedal is slightly lubricated, the car pulls much better again. The performance it had before, however, does not reach it any more. In particular, phases occur during which the car starts to jerk when the gas pedal is hit. The whole behavior is reminiscent of sudden air or gasoline withdrawal. I was already in the workshop with the car, but they don’t know any more. In the meantime I put my hand on it out of despair. I even measured the additional control unit – but everything in the green area. As the last possibility – as far as I can’t make any further progress with my own diagnosis – I will go to another workshop (Novitec support point) and examine the car there again. I have doubts, however, whether the error is recognized or fixed there. Who knows the problem and can perhaps give me a good tip? Another hint: The error on my vehicle occurred in a way from now on. After a short drive in the city I turned off the car for parking. Until then everything was quite normal. When I read the car again, the power loss was immediately noticeable. So to this day I believe in an electronic Blem! Greetings, Armin

  • Punto 55S loses a lot of cooling water

Hi together, I drive a Fiat Punto 55S, built in 1996, 59800km. I have problems with the cooling water at the moment. Two weeks ago I filled up the tank again because the stand was below minimum. Yesterday I checked and the stand was back at minimum. Then I replenished yesterday. When I looked this morning, about 0.5cm cooling water was less present and when I drove then 50km I looked again and noticed the now almost 1.5cm cooling water was missing, ifw My first guesses were the cooler, the cooling water hoses and the cylinder head gasket. The cooler seems to be fine, I don’t see any wet spots, the hoses are not wet either and it probably won’t be on the cylinder head gasket either, because I don’t have any power or oil loss and I don’t see any white smoke (condensation water) coming out of the exhaust. What can it be? G Rute Skaarj

  • Fuel-what does it bring??????

hello leutchen. i always hear the super plus or v power should be better than “normal” super fuel. this is supposed to bring more power or so if I understand that correctly. is that true? does it really get more power from the engine, or does it run quieter or does it even drive faster? can you write your experiences with it here? would be great. many thanks still and much fun while driving.

  • Windscreen wipers don’t want

Hello! Great, just in the middle of the rain the windscreen wipers of my Punto 1.2 Built. 2001 80tsd.km so and when they want. Set on interval, nothing moves. In the long run, nothing moves. Then very high: a wiping movement. then on interval, 3-4 sequences, then silence, then in the long run again nice wiping, then not on interval again. Then they stop on the disc (when switching). Right turn, engine off, restarted, windscreen wipers go again. Then only, we When I stop, I change the modes. Stressy. (Who knows this and knows where the mistake is and how expensive in about). And that with this bet, we need the car every day. Grrrrr. ciao, nice weekend

  • Fiat 500 Abarth EsseEsse or Mini Cooper S

I recently looked at the 500 Abarth and found it quite good, but now I have read a few tests and it says that even the EsseEsse can not stand on the highway. I always drive a Stueck motorway to work, so it is important for a flicker at least to keep up with a mini? 80-180km/h 500: 21.6s Mini: 16.4s The 500 is even lighter and has more torque than the mini?! What is this huge difference? Here’s a link that m m a friend who also shows the times:Compare 500 / Mini

  • Fiat Doblo vs. Mercedes W124

Hello and good day! After having been helped by my question about the check-out / immobilizer at the Doblo I as a FIAT newcomer still give me one for the best: My used car comparison Mercedes W124 vs. Fiat Doblo I bought the Doblo yesterday used (6 years old, 15TKM) I drive the W124 already longer (21 years old, 75TKM) I like “Lowmiler”, likes to buy older used cars. For those who do not know the W124 one has to explain: Series 124 is always described as D E R last real Mercedes, gap-free, indestructible, legendary long-lasting, from the full milled, one of the most durable cars ever. When comparing the two boxes directly, it is noticeable that they completely differ in two points, against my softening. ROST The Doblo rusts comparatively dramatically on the underbody. Not visible when walking around, from the outside. The paint visible outside is still absolutely intact, but underbody, engine, brake leitu Ngen, axles, springs, side agreggates, all unsightly corroded. The Benz is absolutely stainless. Each part, engine compartment, axles, springs, underbody, exhaust, looks almost like new. KLAPPING This surprised me: the 6 year commercially used Doblo rattles less than the among Youngtimer freaks highly revered, for its flap freedom always boasted of W124. Not that the W124 would be really dramatic but the door panels, the panels over the B-pillars, which make on s Chlechter Straße noises while the “Cargo” box is mute. That surprised me then. Because of the rust protection all my prejudices were used, because of the acoustic solidity of the Fiat I am positively surprised! Greeting RW550

  • Wide distances with the 1.2 8 V

Good morning dear Fiatisti, I am concerned today with the question whether you can travel with the 1.2 8 V engine long distances from 500 to 1500 km without any problems. Has anyone had any experience in this regard? The engine has little engine capacity and not much nM, 102 nM to be exact. Is there a speed that you can recommend? I imagine something like 110 km/h in the long run. Is this possible? Which oil is recommended? And what is harmful for the engine, except full force in the long term, bz w. How long should you drive this MOtor without any problems? As a classic travel recommendation is safe, new oil, new spark plugs as well as air filters, inclusive control of all liquids, suspension parts? Greetings from the Swabian province
