  • Dentistry from Ebay – suitable?

Hello guys, with my Marea Weekend the timing belt is due…with also of course water pump and V-belts. A friendly car mechatronician would make the change quite favorable however I should bring him the parts. But now he said I should be careful because it often says with Ebay that it fits 100% and then still does not fit … the experience he had to do according to his statement already more often. I have a Fiat Marea Weekend SX 1.6 16V with 103hp with first registration 1997 h me now looking out the following products: V-belts:http://cgi.ebay.de/…/200433047924?… Timing belts:http://cgi.ebay.de/…/390327607541?… orhttp://cgi.ebay.de/…/360377686289?… Water pump:http://cgi.ebay.de/…/260778681897?… That should actually fit or? Isn’t that why he’s dismantling everything so far and then something doesn’t fit… has a lot of experience about such products and can give me a recommendation? Thank you in advance!

  • Small cars (Fiat 500 twinair) vs Small cars (Vw Polo,Opel Corsa, etc.)

Hello! I am very interested in the purchase of a Fiat 500 Twinairs! Dafuer speak, no car tax due to <100gm Co2 emissions (at least in Greece), favorable basic insurance due to 875cc and the low fuel consumption according to manufacturer 4.1L/km. In addition, it is very fast for a 2cylinder engine and can keep up with bigger competitor like e.g. Vw Polo 1.2 tsi(5.3L/km) or Opel Corsa 1.4(5.5L/km) etc. However, the opinions of a few friends speak quite well. The Fiat 500 is not a complete vehicle and is usually only usable for a city car. What do you think is the difference in the category so the Fiat doesn't decide in terms of quality, driving characteristics, etc. can keep up with the higher competitors around a class? I don't care about the bigger suitcase, but I would like to drive with my 500s sometimes a longer track. Would this be easier with the other cars? Thank you!

  • Engine gets hot, radiator fan doesn’t start

Hello dear Fiatisti, my 98 CInquecento Sporting has been doing funny things since yesterday. The engine is running hot, but the radiator fan is not working. A slap against the bumper made him take up his job, but he hasn’t been upset since. Could it be that the electric motor is jamming, which drives the fan? Or is it unlikely? It could also be that the fan does not get any power, or he doesn’t even know that he should work. Who tells the fan, that it should start? The motor control unit or a thermostat? I changed the timing belt and the cylinder head gasket last month. In the course of this I removed the hose below the ignition coil. Is it possible that I fabricated crap. Does anyone have an idea or knows the phenomenon from their own experience? Hot thanks in advance, Rabatznik78

  • Cinquecento as a beginner car

Hello, I would like to know if a Cinquecento 1.1 Sporting (preferably only up to Bj 95) is suitable for beginners. Taxes 80€ or 88€ , consumption 5-6L , V-max 180km/h ? Luggage compartment dimensions (so I know if my bass roller is pure paste)

  • Lancia / Fiat with vegetable oil in the tank!

Do you have any experience with this? I don’t find anything on the net about experiences with this “fuel” in connection with Fiat and Lancia engines. I would like to upgrade my Lancia Dedra TD SW (only recently) to a 2-tank system. I would like to know if this car is possible without any problems or if it costs something like a conversion?!? Besides, this would also interest me for a Lancia Lybra 2.4 JTD – is this also possible there, or is this possible with Co I have found the following providers:http://www.heipro.de (north)http://www.diesel-therm.de (south) DANKE.

  • Coolant warning lamp flashes with cold engine

Buon giorno! Had had a flashing coolant temperature warning lamp yesterday evening after the cold start and the pointer of the instrument went up to the red area. I immediately turned off the engine and checked the coolant level and looked for leaks, liquid level was on “MAX” and no leaks can be detected. After restart the blinking was back and the pointer was back tight in the direction of red. When the engine ran the pointer again remembered realistic values, naml I went to “KALT” and the blinking stopped as soon as the pointer had left the red area. I had to go to work and the hardware check had given it all up so far, that’s why I drove. After a few kilometers the display rose quite normal and remained in the middle [whereever it was standing]. This morning on the way home again the same game, hectic blinking and a marching pointer. As the engine then ran calmed down the warning lamp and the pointer went What’s wrong with the instrument cluster? An ́nem sensor? Can you measure what? Resistors? Voltage? Read out OBD? Or is it that the Italian suffering often comes that are not reliable and that you can ignore? Like the immobilizer, the symbol has already lit twice [the first time at 13,473 km, the second time at 30,865 km] and everything was normal. After restart everything was again good and I had the error since that no longer… For info ́s And I would like to thank you very much! Oh yes, a 2008 Panda with the 1.2 liter engine, 52 hp in natural gas mode/60 in petrol mode, km currently 51.259.

  • Heating Doblo (diesel)

Hello, in the ADAC test, the heating performance of the Doblo 1.6 JTD Multijet is rated 5,5 rather poorly. If I look at some typical suspects, I found only one jeep, which is rated worse. Does the Doblo really soooo mis? (For this, the jamming in the forum is quite restrained) In the test, the car is cooled down to -10°C and then the time is measured until the interior is reached 22°C. In the front row, 29 minutes, in the rear 35 minutes, b The temperature is reached. Actually you should also be satisfied with 18-20°C ….. Since the additional heating only works until a certain cooler temperature is reached, this should not change much. The seat heating is also an option. Many greetings Dieter PS: It would also be interesting to know which note the old beetle would have received during the ADAC test.

  • Fiat Croma 1.9 Purchase advice

Hello Fiat friends, I’m thinking of buying the Fiat Series 1 1.9 Multijet 8V diesel with 120ps. The car was registered in Dec. 2008. During the test drive the Croma made a good impression. it now has almost 90tkm on the hump. I found the handling so far in order. I was enthusiastic about the space offered. In the engine room a tube of the cooling system was strongly corrided, which would of course be removed before purchase…. In the test drive the warning light was on that the security for rear window lifter does not work. Since I have already read myself bitsl through the forum, and often came across MadMax, who really caught a Monday car I wanted to listen to other reports about the Croma from 2008. Hope for a few answers, many thanks

  • To all Stilo/Stilo MW drivers!!!

Hello! I drive (today the last day) a Fiat Stilo MW JTD Dynamic – more bad than right. Because: As soon as it rains, the car gives itself and without any help suddenly FOLLGAS – in part he then tours up to 4500 rpm and stays there until you re-couple and start! Even 12 (!!!!) workshop visits (each time with the words: “It’s all right again) have helped nothing until today. After I want to sell the cart now, I would hate to leave such defects in it. Does anyone have tips – or does anyone know this mistake too? Unfortunately, I didn’t find it in the search!
