Do inspection yourself? Components, costs
Hello! With my Grande Punto the first inspection is due (even overdue (several months and KM covered), but I have not yet come to it). Now I think about whether I carry out parts or the whole inspection myself, at home to save money. I have a few questions for this: 1. What is all part of the first 30,000er/2 years – inspection? Does Jmd. possibly have a list, where all things that the workshop would have to do are detailed? I also send my email address via PN, if this is not to come online. 2. Would it be reasonable to reckon with significant losses in the resale value if you do the inspection yourself? Does it make a difference whether you do everything or only a part yourself? Would it be useful, for example, to make the oil change in the workshop, the rest then yourself? Or vice versa? The vehicle should be kept for at least 1 year. Probably it will be considerably longer. 3. How could you get the food If you would make some parts of the inspection or everything from the workshop? For example, get oil yourself? 4. Does it make -except from the price – a difference whether I go to FIAT or to a free workshop? The warranty and guarantee has already expired. Thanks for the answers!

Fiat Ducato Maxi new, prevention protection? side walls dams?
Hello, I hope you can give me some tips and suggestions.. My uncle has a new Fiat Ducato Maxi as a company bus and he wants to preserve the entire cavities and spray the underbody with underbody protection. Does this make sense with a new car? Or only after 2 or 3 years? Furthermore, he wants to cover the side walls inside the cargo space and fill all cavities with 2 components PU foam. First because of the thermal insulation and second because of the stability t. What do you think about foaming the cavities in the side walls? What alternative insulation methods are there ?? Stone wool granules? Styroporgranulate? With PU foam I have concerns that the outer skin could deform due to the expansion. Thanks already! LG David

Punto only starts when pushing, not over starters
Hello, I hope I’m right here. Unfortunately, I didn’t find any suitable topics, therefore a new one. My Punto often has the peculiarity of not wanting to jump on starters. However, if the car is then pushed on, it runs immediately. Starter works perfectly, even bridged, for even more performance but no chance. A short push is enough and it runs again without problems. What happens when pushing on other things? The problem occurs at least once a week. My former Punto (same model) had the same problem. I am grateful for any help! Greeting wildshopping

Which Fiat Doblo SX Multijet to buy?
Hello you! For my company I plan to buy a Fiat Doblo SX Multijet. I studied the used ads … … and the spoilt of choice: Are 100000 kilometers for a Doblo already a lot – at about 6600,00 Euro? Year of construction 2009 or should I rather buy a Doblo with a few kilometers on board? E.g.: Year of construction 2008 – 60000 kilometers run for almost 8900,- Euro (annually driving under 6000 kilometers) What must I pay special attention to when buying the Doblo? Thanks for every tip u Greetings to you! Susi

no comunication with abs control unit – punto 188
hello people, since a week the abs light goes on at our punto 188 mod. 2004 sometimes only after a few (100) meters drive on, sometimes directly after start (or stays directly on). abs does not regulate with every brake, the phenomenon seems to exist. so no regular intervention, but light on. have a diagnostic interface and the 3 adapters to adjust the pin placement, use fiatecuscan test version. come into the motor and airbag control unit (airbag light was also now on, spora discher fehler am beifahrerairbag-ausschalter *grr*), however, can not establish a connection to the abs-controller. I have already for 6 hours the battery clamped off, but then I did not have to re-enter the radio code (orig. blaupunkt cd-radio in punto-look). was the battery therefore not long enough or why do I not get into the control unit? thank you already for pointing out!

Timing belts exchange at 27,000KM???
Can you help me out? My wife has a Punto Grande BJ 2006 and drives very little. Now the car is 5years old and has only 27,000km at the speedometer. The workshop wants to change her timing belt and water pump because 5 years are planned. To me this seems to be covered with the few kilometers. Moreover, the workshop claimed that the water pump licks, although we have never lost water and since her diagnosis of 2 months ago none loses. I ch ask you for a numerous echo Karl-Heinz

Fiat UNO engine problems
Hello, now that I have searched the entire forum for solutions, I have come to the decision to write here about my problems and to ask for your help. Now the problem: The Fiat Uno, bj. 1990, 1.0 Type 146 with G-Kat does such a thing from Mucken, which is simply not true anymore, he just ran until then and suddenly he went out during the ride, took no more gas, starts even under wild pumping with the gas pedal, remains also, if ma n holding with the gas foot at moode, but has no performance ……… Well, we thought, is not a problem, have still disassembled a second building equal in parts, is all there ……. said: carburetor out, others in (we made 3x ) }}} nix, still the same distributor out, others in }}} nix, still the same new petrol filter ( petrol is pumped at start ) }}} nix, still the same lamda probe changed }}} nix, still d }}} nix, still changing the same engine control unit (we have 4 pieces of it ) }}} nix, still controlling the same timing timing belts }}} all correct The funny thing is, WHEN it happens, then it’s really round, all cylinders are there, he’s not jerking, just clean ……. but he just tortures himself as if he didn’t know what to do with the gasoline, what to give him, even remains in a warm state. I hope my text is not too long for you, please give me a little bit more input, are grateful in every way about inscriptions, because the little one is urgently needed and coal for what is new is not there, even if our state has so crazy offers on it ( scrapping premium ). Thank you your Volker.

Error In All parts = FIAT???
Hello everyone, I have a big problem. Fiat Bravo Diesel, black, 5-door. Great car, great engine, BUT: vehicle was bought in March. From May then problems arose and the rear door could not be locked from an outside temperature of 27 degrees. In other words, I open the vehicle, get in and drive off the company parking lot. Automatic door locking is set. Door locked when driving off, after about 5 minutes drive, click, door left is not in the display: door open. Turn right, open doors from the outside, open them up and close them and lock them with the radio key from the outside. Door no longer locks. Get back in the vehicle, automatic locking closes all doors, until the rear left. So it stays, vehicle cannot be parked, I can’t make any purchases or so, as the rear door remains open. Only when you drive at least half an hour, the door is locked. he door. The vehicle is now for the eighth time at FIAT dealer, and they give the vehicle back with new door lock, new body computer etc, each time joyfully that everything is ok now. Hardly it has more than 27 degrees again, the problem occurs again and again. Have now talked with the customer service and wants to change. Will be difficult, but I drive FIAT for the first time and then never again. Can one let overrun whether the workshop has done anything at all? Were everything Warranty work and when I asked to print out the history, they said, that would not work. At the moment the vehicle is back at FIAT, I guess they keep it over the weekend in the hope that it will be the last warm one in this Jahr. Does anyone know a good lawyer in the Dortmund area who can act against them for me? Thanks for tips and help!
