Fiat Brava engine damage / quality and customer loyalty at FIAT
At this point I would like to leave out a topic which is certainly not new to many readers, the quality of the vehicle brand FIAT. Various translations of these 4 letters testify to this. However, what I had to experience with my FIAT Brava (year of construction 1998, mileage 50,000) I would not have thought possible. Although the timing belt, a certainly very important and stressed component, is specified according to maintenance specifications with a change interval of 120,000 km, it ripped ready While the workshop was still busy with the replacement of the cylinder head, I was able to read on various websites that this timing belt tear is very common according to ADAC-pan test and makes the FIAT Brava the “badest vehicle of the lower middle class”. The whole is clearly due to a design error of Fiat and the manufacturer known for years. Neither H However, the manufacturer still felt obliged to call me or the car into the workshop once. However, I found FIAT advertising time and again in the mailbox. However, it comes even better. After I had received the car as repaired and tested in a test drive back, I had to find out already on the first kilometers that the car had no power and brought it back to the workshop. Here after several weeks (!) it was determined that the car had a piston fres It is assumed that the replacement of the cylinder head was sloppy and that my workshop caused the piston eater itself. In any case, an exchange engine was due and then an invoice for EUR 4.100,-. This is 8,000,- mark old currency for the repair of a car, w This is not due to FIAT. This is understood by this manufacturer under customer loyalty. It is not surprising that even in Italy the sales break down, to be silent about the German market. For me it is clear: after many years FIAT w w If this letter is read by Leidensgenossen or a lawyer who dares to sue FIAT, I look forward to contacting you. Christiane Petzold Lüdenscheid

Is the Punto really reliable?
Hello Fiat-Punto Fan, I would like to purchase a used Fiat punto with automatic transmission. According to http://www.autobild.de/…/article.php?… it is the only car that offers: “Solid quality and decent equipment at affordable prices. “No topic, about potential weaknesses and the amount of repair costs; “So already the first Punto series had galvanized steel sheets and a proper cavity seal” Is that really? I would be very grateful for every inlet Thanks in advance.

Fiat 500 – No discount possible?
Hello, was just with my wife at the 500 presentation and I have to say, my wife (o.k. – i also ) were quite pleased with the little one On the question about the possible discount, the dealer wanted to get involved with nothing. Ok, he offered then another set of winter bikes as extra, but that was then already question: Did you have the same experiences? If not, how much was in and with which dealer??? Greeting Rüdiger

which engine do I have now?
sorry people have to create a new topic again, but that’s how it is clearer. I had bought the last nen punto 2, whose control unit is defective.. The housing can’t be opened for flashing because it has been disfigured with second glue. Now I looked on ebay for replacement and also found immediately what and in comparison it turned out that the from ebay is one of bosch, on my but is fiat on it?! After a longer search I did a suitable f anden in spain, hopefully it comes too. Now my question refers to the type of engine, which engine do I have? In the article descriptions of the bosch stgs there is always 1,9 jtd, on which the fiat stgs only 1,9 d there is a difference, are the different motors? Sorry all the questions know me with fiat absolutely not

Finest Italian car technology..
I have just looked at TN ́s homepage again, want to see what his great Uno does. And look, he has finally updated his page again.. There you can finally see how good a Fiat is holding, which is not heated in the daily city crowd and short distance operation but just gets its maintenance regularly and otherwise only a lot is driven. http://www.tn-tn.de/auto/auto.php Impressive compression diagram for a 1.4 engine with over 380.000km… To not here just talking about Macking at Fiats

Help!! Fiat Punto – Good choice???
I need a car as soon as possible and have now discovered a Fiat Punto (not the new model) occasion in my price range. Now, however, I am advised not to buy a Fiat from various sides. Reasons: 1. frequent oil loss 2. he rusts quickly 3. electronic problems etc… However, I also read again that this is not true. Can someone help me and give me any tips???

2nd battery in the trunk
Hello, I think that’s more of a question to the electrically enthusiastic of you 😉 So I installed a Tempra 1.p TD and a system, as power amplifier I use a Signat Rambo Limited Edition (6 channel with 2x 12V input all channels are bothered!!) Ok for the first I have “still” no capacitor for the system and for the 2nd I often have start problems with my Tempra (the battery is only 6 months old!) Jetz I thought that I would better power supply for An so that I don’t call out the discharge of both batteries, and also so that I don’t have the VOLT number and 24V!! But I would like to connect the 2nd battery so that it will be charged!! So and now another question if I have a 2nd battery I spare myself a capacitor?? Thank you already in advance Lg!

Fiat Punto 55 S – pay attention.
Hi guys, since my Opel Astra F is due after 1 1/2 years and now 170tkm the TÜV is due and the repair costs are too expensive for me (about 110€, I had paid at that time only 800€) I want to get a Punto now. I wanted to look at this one at the weekend. What should I pay special attention to? What are typical defects with the used Puntos? Are they also as extremely rusty as the Opel? Greeting Maxi
