  • Mondeo 1.8TD 12/96 Engine without power

Hello! Drive a Mondeo Kombi TD for 8 months. Until recently, it was really satisfied, but in the last two weeks the events overlap. First, the heater runs out only on level 4, all in all for 3 days no longer at all. Then the airbag lamp lights up constantly, however, flashes continuously. Since the day before yesterday, the ABS display and the symbol of the handbrake also shines. The worst thing is, however, that the engine has been missing for about 1 month. It makes itself quite clear when starting and speeding up noticeable and it also jerks in the condition, which He did not do before. This change was actually noticeable to me only after the oil change. I used 10W 40 and added an adettive of Liqui Molly. After that I also filled an additional in the tank, which actually serves more for cleaning. The strange thing is that on some days the engine runs quite rough and nailed, then others again not I’m in the end with my Latin and really don’t know what it could be. In addition, he doesn’t start in the cold state in the morning, he always has to roll him down the mountain. I think it’s probably the glowing system, maybe the fuse! However, I don’t know where it is. The bad start in the morning is only since I installed a new annealing cable, because the old one was torn off at the ground. Before he jumped on quite well, he has all It’s like he’s getting too much diesel. I really don’t know any more! Someone might have an idea before I go to the expensive Bosch service! Thank you

  • Sums when ignition is switched on

Hello, maybe the question is stupid, but I still put it: If I turn on the ignition at my Mondi (BJ 2005, 2.0 liter petrol, flush-hook Ghia version), there is a buzz from the direction of the steering column (or dashboard) that is also there during the ride. Even with the air conditioning, lighting etc. Is this normal?

  • Soon my first mooneo

Hello together, so far only reading member of this forum and so far only in the Vectra forum on the way (old Opel family :-). But now (also with regard to family enlargement) offered me a possibility and I hit: Soon I get a Mondeo Kombi. The car ran for two years as a company car only long distance and has approx. 160.000 KM on the clock. I personally know the driver and have personally convinced myself of the very well maintained condition k Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion, because I think I hit a bargain, but I’m not sure, because I haven’t dealt with Ford and Mondeo yet. The car has almost full equipment including toys like Navi and electric seats, etc……the only thing missing is leather. Here are some dates: BJ 2004, 160000KM, 2.2 TDCI, aluminiums + winter tires on rim, check booklet-puffed, no damage so far, silver……Price 4300 Euro -> Is there How long does the engine last in average….would the car still like to drive one year or another? Are serious defects known to you? Would I just be happy to receive feedback and a few tips……..Pictures will follow as soon as the good piece is in the yard 🙂 Greetings, Beck

  • Battery life ?

Hello together, who has experience with the lifespan of the starter battery in Mondeo MK III, 130 HP TDCI, BJ 12/03 ? Reason for my question: After my car had stood almost two days last weekend, the battery was empty and it did not start any more. My neighbour then helped the engine with the help of a second battery and a starting support cable. Since then I drove every day of the last week about 50-80 km and had no problems at all when starting. I of course fear if the car is not moved again a few days the battery is empty again. Can a battery with normal use after not even three years give up its mind ? Should the point with an intact battery not be green ? At the in my vehicle it is red. (See photo in annex) greet rainbas

  • Retrofit: Recaro driver seat or ASS and soot particulate filters

Hello everyone, I play a little with the thought of changing my driver’s seat through a Recaro seat or ASS car seat, there is someone who has already done something like that or has played with the thought and in the end is still afraid of the costs! 😉 I would like to have a retrofit seat with side airbag, since I drive between 45,000 and 50,000km in the year, it would probably be worthwhile, the original Mondeo seat in itself is not too bad, but for Back, for thigh support and for better ergonomic adjustment you might want such a seat of Recaro or ASS!? Furthermore, I ask for information about soot particulate filters, costs and general opinions! Sincerely, Poldi76

  • Mondeo TDCI 115PS / Motornails

Hello guys, had the problem that the engine ran at times very rough, and that in the 4th gear in the cold engine condition a strong jerking was to be noticed during acceleration! I drove to the workshop, this found a hardware defect and replaced an EKB or ECG part, and played me up a software update, now the jerking as well as the unround motor run away is almost eliminated, but now I hear an unbearable and very loud nailing of the engine true, whether in the cold or warm engine condition, especially if I drive off or constantly drive a speed! Now my question, can I just drive back to the workshop and let the old software play on it at guarantee costs, speak with which I did not have these engine noises or can you not make downgrade with the ECU? Because in this condition the 20 year old sewing machine of my mother is quieter than just my updated Ford Mondeo, but supposedly the master de The workshop itself was tested and felt the car with these sounds as fine, well the love should go to the ear doctor…

  • Ordinary PDA mount for the Mondeo ’02?

Hi, I have a gooseneck mount with suction cup for my MDA2 that regularly falls off the windshield (now the first time in the steering wheel). This should now be over. The part has to be kept in order and still visible for navigation. Does anyone have an inexpensive tip? I saw on eBay a few mounts that are clamped between glove compartment and radio. I liked that very well, but was with almost 50,-EUR plus (!) Porto do Then I saw a bracket that is clicked in the lambs of the ventilation – not quite my favourite, but I would take it to the necessity. Unfortunately, there is no version with rotating head again, but in this case it would have to be absolutely necessary, because otherwise you can see and operate the part very badly. I am open for good advice. Greetings, adixx!

  • Webasto ThermoTop C in 2002 TDCi

Hello guys, I had until recently a 98 Mondeo TD with retrofitted Webasto ThermoTop C (with prefix clock and self-made mobile phone remote control). The car is gone, the heating I still have, incl. installation kit. Can I install this heater in my now purchased 2002 Mondeo 2.0 TDCi? I have two statements from Wetrkstätten: 1. The heating comes in the back, behind the fender or something and I have to get the new model. Installation approx. 150,- EUR 2. The heating comes in the back I can keep the old one, but I need a new installation kit because of the automatic air conditioning system, which my old one also had. Installation and mounting kit approx. 1100,- EUR (16 hours working capacity) In front of the engine room there is probably no room for the thing. So now the hoses should go under the whole car!? Does there actually enough heat at the front? Or do I just raise the underbody? The ventilation on the 98 model was already too slow and I needed forever until the disc was opened. But the engine has always been warm. Has anyone experienced a retrofit? If so, where did you put it and what else did you need? If someone can give me a few prizes, it would be nice. Greeting Paule

  • Winter experiences with the TDCi

After 2 weeks of winter holidays in the Bavarian forest (-11°C) I wanted to tell you my experiences with the TDCi :TOP : – perfect cold start behavior – short warm run phase (after 3 minutes warm air comes out of the nozzles). – traction in snow. As some with strong gradients already stopped the Mondeo passed easily (with ESP off). – Heatable windshield and seat heating are worth GOLD ! Really a must in winter. – Consumption hardly higher than at normal temperature FLOP : – loud nailing at cold temperatures – joints of the windscreen wipers freeze quickly, thus constantly dirty disc – rain sensor in case of snow rain unusable. The salt residue disturbs the sensor -> it constantly wipes… – air conditioning : after some time cold air comes out of the S. – relaxed driving in the deepest snow due to the automatic. It switches gently and logically, so that you do not have to worry about nasty surprises on slippery roads. Cheibendüsen (*bibber*). Only when 24.5°C is set it gradually gets warm again in the car. All in all a great winter vehicle. Gruss WeKoe

  • Mondi – EU FLANZE

I want to order a Mondeo tournament now, and could need a few tips about the equipment of you well. I don’t know yet if Ghia X or Tit x but the 2.2 l TDCi will become. My central question: Has anyone of you ever bought from the Eu-Flanze, which seems to me to have the most attractive prices. How were the experiences? Who is the contractual partner the ReImportFa. or a foreign car dealer? This is especially interesting if you want to order a Mondeo tournament. The so-called facelift, when was it or when did it come? So then, many greetings and many thanks for your tips. nb
