  • Injection nozzles RS2000 compressor

    Hello dear Ford community, as a former Ford driver, I would like to ask you a question. A familiar plans a compressor conversion. Some things are still to be clarified. The basis is an RS2000 2.0l 16V engine, which has now got a 2.3 fuselage. But the injection system is still series. The compressor is from the 1.4 TSI. Holding devices and the like are already implemented, the thing fits well pure… With the question of sufficient supply of fuel is us di e Question with the maximum throughput of the original injection nozzles came to mind. He already has an adjustable petrol pressure regulator, but we are not sure if that will be enough. As an idea, the injection system of the 2.3 scorpio motor came to mind. When comparing the single-point nozzles, we noticed that these 2.3 nozzles have two holes. Probably a duller angle of the spray image is formed during the single-point process, if the amount is higher we do not know. has anyone ever gained experience? The problem is that the channel through which the fuel injected enters the combustion chamber is wider at the 2.3l and thus also the duller angle of the spray image (sounds as funny :-)) can be realized. The 2.0l, on the other hand, has a narrower channel and at the same time only a bore at the outlet of the nozzle. The question is now, can one take the 2.3l nozzles (so they have a higher throughput)? We believe that when using the 2.3l nozzles around 2.0l injection channel, the beam is reflected by the wall, so to speak, and then, if necessary, returned to the combustion chamber, which is again unfavorable for the ignition process. Or is it better to take completely different nozzles, i.e. which ones with a hole like the 2.0l original, but with more cfm?   • Ford Escort speed depends 1800u/min

    moin zusammen;-)))) i have a ford escort tournament BJ 1994 1.4 with 71 hp and my treasure has been running better, because since 2 weeks it is jogging and bucking, no matter whether cold or warm…in between it goes out and then it goes some way. end velocities are on highway 140 with ach and krach…in the 5th it brings pure nothing more. gas hardly goes…as if you would step into the empty…it takes about 2 seconds until the car reacts…then it also goes out. my question, since I to p-laie bin… brings a diagnosis or what from the boschdienst? I would have had an appointment on Wednesday morning… then probably the necessary repair…is that worth everything? TÜV/AU 02/10…vehicle is dry and hardly rusty, very well maintained! New are air filters, ignition candles and vacuum hoses are tested by workshop. air filter box is dry: no oil! I would regret having to give it up. THANK YOU for a lot of help!

    So I drive an Escort Kombi ́98 Zetec engine 1.6 l 16V 90 Ps. Got the following problem When starting the speed rises to 2000 rpm. approx. for 25 – 30 sec. then it regulates down to 1000 – 900 rpm. When driving there are no problems If the vehicle has bitsl temperature and I let it run in empty run. Then it can be that the speed varies to 650 – 700 rpm.     Escort MK7 ALL 1.8l 85kw 115hp 190.000km I noticed something since Wednesday. If mine is cold and I want to start this one it goes normally to the 1000U/min then it goes a little up then down to 700U/min then again a little up then down to 300U/min and then it goes completely out.     hello! first of all thanks to everyone who knows so much about this and who is trying to help others! am new here in the forum and you have helped me very nicely so far. I got a 1992 rs2000. unfortunately the good piece has so many defects, which we (kumpel + ich) want to eliminate after the row. the restless empty run we have after llrv exchange, new spark plugs as well as throttle valve cleaning (as described here in the forum several times). since the motor also clacks , clapping or as you would otherwise like to call it, we have replaced the hydros (against used…). the engine is running wonderfully, only the clacking is still in exactly the same form (motor oil before and after 5w30). since we have installed used tusks these could have made even nen macken. but isn’t that a little improbable especially since the noise is practically the same? after driving over highway or for more than half an hour the cool water cooks. ie stands on center (where is it if everything is in order, because in the range it is normal yes.?). could the clapping, which becomes faster when the speed is increased and can be heard at load, thus acceleration/starting (with constant speed silent/not to be heard) also elsewhere have its origin (possibly water pump)? it is really hard to locate the noise exactly.. :-(has someone possibly an idea? the engine has 155,000 km on it, 2.0i DOHC RS2000, spark plugs now new, hydros changed (used :-(), cylinder head seal new, valve cover seal new I thank each and every one for a tip/rat! greetings, chris

    Hello all, Have an old Escort radio lying around and would like to get it to run in the basement. It has 9 connections on the back. (1 for antenna, 4 for 2 boxes) For what are the others, or what of them is mass etc. I don’t know exactly what kind of radio it is on the side says: Ford ESRT 22 DPS, otherwise there is nowhere else.
