Hello , I’m new here I converted my Sierra to turbo and thought that I would have to make public to exchange experiences if necessary. To the car : 85er Sierra 2.0 iS iS stands for sports version with the following characteristics: 3 doors , body as with the Cossie chassis of the XR4 lank wheel of the Cossie falcher black rear spoiler paint 2 colored at my top silver bottom black mileage: ca 450tkm to the engine: 2.0 OHC 85 kW = 115 hp L-Jetronic mileage: ca . 150tkm from ebay 60 euro (first engine I have blown off at 420 tkm) to the turbo: Garrett T3 from Saab 9000 Turbo ; I think, because without internal wastegate and only oil cooling mileage: unknown from ebay 40 euro Status Quo: Turbo is in there with self-welded cracker Charging air cooler at the moment leaks ( from the Mini Cooper S) compaction not yet withdrawn ( I think 9,5:1 ) Lamda probe with indicator for mixture check charging pressure indicator, charge air temperature sensor , turbo oil temperature sensor The thrust starts different early depending on the gear ( Turbohole) 1. gear only at 4000 2. gear at 3000-3500 3. gear at approx 3000 4. gear at 2500 5. gear at approx 2300 Up to a charging pressure of approx. 0.5 bar you can drive well 0.6 usually goes but also leans off the mixture. Since I did not have a Wastegate that means carefully giving gas (I had already about 1.0 bar, ups ) Acceleration has improved little about 8 sec da turbohole in the first gear ( and since ic h only give half to 3/4 gas) I estimate power to min 160 hp up to about 180 or even 200 consumption of course also rose from 10 to 15 liters I drove so now 250 km times see how far I’m still coming 🙂

Realistically more I think that the car has run its 142 TKM. what would the car be worth in the case??? Oh, and can someone please tell me before I have to pay attention to the sierra and which strength/weaken he has (consumption, quality etc)? so far you find the car first ter http://mobile.de/…/da.pl?… bye!

Threshold funny thing
Moin have a Ford Sierra 91er dohc gbg now I have just entered my 2 powercaps (2farad together). after that I wanted to start driving start the engine and wonder. so before start short about 1500-1700 at the start afterwards he went very quickly to short under 1000 now (apparently through the caps) start 1500-2000 (which could be explained by the less breaking voltage) but after that he does not sink but stays at about 1800 or even goes higher (up to to 1900) after about 15-20sec it goes back to about 1100. if I pass through it when it’s high-turvy it goes up (normal) and then down to 1000 but then back to the high empty run area (unnormal) when it’s running a time it’s gone. but what is that from? does anyone know the problem?

OT Attitude
Hi, I need help. On a ride, a screw in the timing belt area loosened and fixed itself at the bottom of the timing belt and housing. The screw is out, a new timing belt is built in. Now it no longer starts up, it only gives a “patch” of itself as if it is a misignition. How can I turn the engine on again OT. I guess something has changed. Ferdinand 300

Tyres!!! *gg*
So ExZA just seems to be the professional here! So as mentioned 205ers are not really something special! Honestly, I would like to have the front 215 rear 225 both 16 inches with 40 cross-section. Hmm!? Vileicht can post his tel. here or send me by email that is often easier! Finally, wants my sierra to be something special! *gg*

1991 and over 270,000 km runs like a one
Hello guys, I wanted to turn to you. I’m still driving a Sierra Bj. 1991 and over 270,000 km on the clock. I almost wanted to sell it now but I’ll probably keep it for a while. At least until the next buffet date in mid 2006. Then a bigger reperture is due. Supposedly, the frame is rusted through and that’s what you have to do. Now the following reperatures stand for me: New summer tires (205/50/R15) and new discs and coverings in front. Actually also wanted a new lede. Unfortunately, the dealer told me he couldn’t get it. Do you have any help for me? Where can I get access to such parts.? Did I also want to retrofit something for boxing and maybe repair the wooden switch again. Had a catalog of Shui or something before. You could get almost everything there. Is there still the possibility to get such things? Then still the most important question. The car was changed by my father at the time with shortened feathers. But that makes me have a crazy fall and the tire wear is corresponding. I need a set per year for my annual drive performance. Can you change that cost-effectively? Would I be happy to get a few tips from you. Greetings Tom

[WS] 3-door 2.0iS
The chic Sierra has been on mobile for months:http://www.mobile.de/…/da.pl?… 3-door, blue metallic, looks quite well maintained… Is only 500…650 euros from the price above my ideas. Did Uwe tell me that a real 2.0iS with OHC-85kW is quite rare. Nen bit of matching tuning hadr too. But does that justify this high price? I mean the cart has no cat (just what I want in the appearance) and is since at least 9 For the money you get already almost a ridden XR4i would actually be the perfect car for me, but before I call the dealer I would like to know which price idea would be realistic? Would the negotiations be a bit easier if you know more about it. So go ahead Bengs, Snöpp, Uwe & everyone else, say what you would pay/request for the car Greetz & TIA Alf

Ignition rings at the DOHC
Hello, I have a Sierra DOHC (120 hp ), 1990 year, 198,000 km mileage. The ignition rings as soon as I accelerate a little bit more. This noise only occurs when the car is really warm. In cold condition the noise is not heard. My impression is that it is stronger at high outside temperatures than at low outside temperatures. The Sierra is definitely fuelled with the right fuel. At Ford you could not explain the thing. It’s just that I’m supposed to keep on watching (I’ll do it too, but I don’t think it’s gonna change anything). Otherwise the engine is running perfectly normal. The ringing hasn’t gotten any worse over time, it’s only dependent on the temperature. Even if the Sierra slowly mutates to the grandpa, I’d like to drive it even longer. I’m afraid, however, that the ringing can’t be healthy in the long run. Maybe one of you has a suspicion. I’m grateful for any advice. MfG Kohl beet

Door handle shells Mondeo
Hello! I had to find out that at my Mondeo tournament (Bj 2003) on the front inner door handles the paint is peeling off. My first thought was: scratched by the previous owner and painted over! The car had only 1 previous owner and only 15000 down when I bought it! My workshop told me that this is a disease with the new models and is also known. In the course of the extended warranty Ford would cover 30€/part and 30% of the installation costs…! Door!! Has someone gained experience and is it cheaper? Greeting Ben

Durability of the Mondeo engines
Hello! After having informed me about a car up to 3000 euros at the used car portals, I often came across Mondeos Built 94-95. What about the durability of the engines beyond 135,000 KM in general? Would it be advisable to look for a 2.5 V6 (6-cylinders last longer?!) or are the 4-cylinder 115 and 136 hp in general also durable? Thank you for your help! Greeting Manuel
