Hello, I have a Ford Fiesta BJ.1992! He has run 128000km and has 60hp! He runs very restless and smokes heavily black from the exhaust! It is after a short time a really black spot on ́m ground there where the exhaust was! Also it smells strongly from the back of the exhaust gas! Sometimes he also goes out in the stand! It is best to start it with gas then it goes well! It seems to me as if he is running far too fat or the fuel would not be burned properly I turned out the spark plugs once and found that they are black and also a bit wet! I checked the ignition system once and he has a spark on every cable and with each candle! So it wouldn’t be possible to have the ignition cables or spark plugs! What else can it be? Do you have an idea what I can still check without buying everything new directly?? Thanks already MFG C-KING

Ignition from Motar but still on when Ablelllich is on.
Hello, I have a big problem or two but the second one is not quite as bad and don’t know how to solve it or if I still have to go to the expensive workshop. Auto data: Ford Fiesta KW/PS 37/52 Year of manufacture: 94 1119 ccm Low pollutant E2 If you need more just tell me. 1. Problem I can start the engine with the ignition switched on and also switch off with the ignition key again. Now to the problem: As soon as I turn on my dipped light when the ignition is switched off Ignition means the petrol pump goes short as normal with the ignition and everything else light also on the amatur board as if the ignition was on. I could probably start the car now only if I short-circuit the right contacts say the car start what I only need to do with my key, thank God. If I drive with the car in the evening I need the dipped-beam switch on the dipped-beam, then I park at some point a car and turn off the ignition so I can take out the ignition key, however, the car remains on until I turn off the dipped-beam as well. funny is however. Since someone has an idea. I guess there is something wrong with the contacts of the lighting system. 2. Problem I turn on my dipped-beam so the left headlight goes quite normally on the right, however does not shine quite as bright as it should. When the driving-beam is switched on short it then also goes quite normal a uf its full luminosity. Here is only the pear not completely clean anymore or it may even be related to Problem No. 1. Would be very grateful for your help. Gruss greatlyusa

Air mass meters?
Hi guys.. For a few days now my Hilde (Ford Fiesta BJ 96) worries me. In the stand with running engine, it sounds very restless, as if the car is always re-regulating until it is drunk from time to time. Speaking of, if i brake strongly or at all brake, the car runs out. Can it be that my air mass meter soon pulls up the hooves or can it be something else? How expensive would that be if I had it done in the workshop? at the moment everything comes at once *kotz* Bergige Grüße aus Tirol Lunatic

Fiesta, year 91, inspection of rear brake
Dear Fordgemeinde, since my hand brake blocks on the last 1 m brake path in the rear, I wanted to look into the rear brake, by the way the foot brake works perfectly at the rear (brake test bench). I encountered two difficulties: 1. The driver-side rear axle nut can’t be solved despite the lever extension. Is this model a left thread? How do you solve such fixed nuts? Does creep oil bring something at this high torque? 2. H In the right, I was able to release the axle nut well and wanted to pull off tyres and brake drums. As the brake pads have certainly entered the drum, I couldn’t move the drum over the “edge” and pull it off. How can I relax the hand brake rope? I’m afraid if I kind of loosen the rope at the hand brake lever, which I can’t thread it back in later and everything has to be replaced. I feel like I’m on the way to the wood. Maybe I can I’ll send you some tips.

Buy Fiesta MK6 – which points to pay special attention to
Hello, I’m just looking for a car for my usual short and medium distances. At the moment I have Opel Corsa (in 60 or 75 hp), Nissan Micra (in 65 hp), VW Polo and stop the MK6 Fiesta. A Fiesta with the 1.3 liter 70 hp engine from 2004 I tried (after longer Ford abstinence) times and found it actually quite good. I fit in (important point at 1.96m), chassis was good, engine is quite quiet and the circuit is also easy. t. Which points should be paid special attention to in the Fiesta – so where should one look at necessarily to detect defects. Some Fiestas should also have clear rust problems (doors?) – where can one recognize this most? Which motors are particularly recommended (maintenance, consumption, timing belts or control chain, maintenance intervals)? Where are the typical weak points.

Fiesta has a life of her own!!
Hello, I have a problem with my Fiesta! GFJ ; 1,1 L ; 37 KW ; BJ 96 He does quite normal, which is already positive! In the stand he doesn’t really run around anymore! Somehow than if not all pots run! Besides, he doesn’t really get on power anymore! Top speed on a straight track is about 100 kmh. It’s especially bad when it goes up the mountain, here he only gets 50 kmh. Who he is still cold also gets a jerk. The whole problem had ic h at the very beginning already times. I then changed the spark plugs and the air filter, then it also got better. But since I drive only short distances by car have since only about 1000 km more to it! In damp weather he then from time to time jerked who went up the mountain but otherwise he drove impeccable! Since I have no rev indicator I can unfortunately not say how the speed in the stand is neither like it is during driving operation! I would exclude the cat there d he would not have gone away again! I would have guessed on all cases. I would be very happy about help!

New Fiesta – Engine power extremely bad
My wife bought the new Fiesta 60 HP. The car itself is great, but the engine power is extremely bad. From the 3 gear he does not pull a herring off the plate, comes with difficulty in 4 to 100. When I turn then in 5, is at 130 (after a long time) the end. Lt. papers he should run 152, but reaches in 5 not and in 4 only mountain downhill. That is not normal, isn’t it? In order for him at least a little acceleration, you have to drive the almost always full throttle. Now three times fueled, always through hnitt 8,7 liters / 100. For the lame toad a lot. Can you check the engine power somewhere, if this is all ok? Or is the known that the new 60 hp Fiesta has such bad driving values? Had a 65 hp Corsa, which ran the highway, that was a pleasure. The Fiesta is life-threatening with its extremely lame acceleration.

Homepage project on the topic Ford Scorpio MK1, motor code N9D
Good day, after taking my own path from 2019 onwards, I will start my own web presence in one or two years on the above topic. In the last 5 years I have collected a database of Ford article numbers, after-market article numbers, many photos of projects, much more, etc. The topics are: Experiences with parts suppliers Experiences with repair shops Car purchase and first-view The lurking dangers, manufacturer defects, remedy Lauernde Kosten, etc.. T Rock ice blasting, rust prevention, etc. Change cylinder head gasket / control chain 的Secret information from Ford employees Information from Great Britain What do you need to bring a Scorpio MK1 (DOHC) over the 40-year hurdle, why does it fail? Tips for servo pump and cooler change Links and tips for installation instructions, etc.. Information on oils and liquids and their Ford specifications, etc.. Many photos, etc.. Advantages and disadvantages, light and shadow in the Scor pio MK1 Driving behaviour in winter -25°C and summer +38°C, etc.. As the name of the domain is and whether the whole is designed in the annual history, I do not yet know. I have created and maintained websites for clubs for many years. Until then I am unfortunately not available for the next two years. Sincerely, Stephan (member of the ADAC e.V.)

Valve clapping clearly to hear
Hello dear motor fans! First of all I apologize that I put the topic in here, but unfortunately I did not find a Granada department in the forum. Therefore I chose the Scorpio forum, he was the successor of the Granada after all. Maybe someone knows the problem and can give appropriate tips. First of all the data of the engine: 2,8L V6, central camshaft with tilt lever control, camshaft drive: gears, carburetor. The problem is: For some time (if you go to The noise of the valves was always heard clearly when the bonnet was opened; but now you can hear it in the interior. Oil is OK, the vehicle was tested and adjusted this week in the Ford workshop for the valve play. But the clapping is still heard from the same place. It sounds like a sewing machine; volume is just the clapping is dependent on speed. With low rotation fences it is possible to hear the noise of the valves from the left side. I think it has to do with the valves. If the valve play is correct (according to the workshop), what else could that be? Best regards Frank

Ford Scorpio MK1 – DOHC 2.0i – Valve flaps
Hello, I drive a Ford Scorpio with DOHC engine 2.0i with 120 hp. In July I had replaced the cylinder head gasket and the cup plunger. Now a valve flaps on warm / hot engine. Could it be that a cup plunger is faulty or it has formed a contamination, a “thrombosis” in the course of the repair, which affects the hydraulic valve compensation? (steam bubbles, heat bubbles, air, etc. in the return valve of the plunger) If I have 5 new cups of plunger v On the back with a wooden handle firmly press on the regulator valve, comes some oil out of the bumps, which means that the small ball inside does not close clean. Now I want to install some better, expensive shocks from AJUSA. Maybe then is quiet.
