  • Mondeo 1.6 – 10l Fuel consumption

    Hello, when I was refueling the last time I calculated the fuel consumption of my Mondeo 1.6 (90hp, step tail, year 93) and came on terrifying 10 liters at 100km. On the vehicle are quite normal 185er 14 inches (intermediately winter tires) mounted and from the driving way, I think that I drive very sparingly (roll around in the city in 5th gear, also at 80 at the latest on the country road in 5th gear and mountain underroll). Al 3km are city and the rest is country road. Mostly I drive alone and sometimes for two and rarely for five… Should 10 liters really be normal?   • 6 weeks and still no dare

    Hello ! I ordered a new car (Mondeo) on 03.11. The seller said that the mondeo is built in belgien and that the car is so late. 5 weeks is finished. until now still no call. Does this always take so long ??? or the time with the overpass.

  • Can anyone explain to me about the turbo?

    Hello, I’m driving a Mondeo 2.0 TDDI tournament BJ 2001. What I think is to know is that the turbo “starts” at approx. 2000U/min. Now I’m not sure if it always starts at 2000U/min or what has to do with the desired acceleration. Sometimes it’s like this when I drive just above 2000U/min… ca. 2100 – 2200 U/min again I notice the Trurbo “starts” but then goes out again and approaches again…. I don’t speed up but basically keep the pace. Does that mean that here is the area where the turbo can’t really decide if it should go on now or not? Sometimes, when accelerating, I notice extremely that the turbo “starts” and sometimes that’s a sliding transition… and of course I sometimes have the feeling that it doesn’t “start” at all. A little info would be great!

  • Retrofit NAVI and automatic air conditioning?

    Hi have a Ford Mondeo MK3 (think I’m built in 10/2002) with the well-known rust problems at the door etc.. But unfortunately there is only a manual climate in it with the well-known rotary controllers! Wanted to know how hard it is to blow out against an automatic climate control, what you have to change everything? Do you only have to replace controls? Then there is such a Ford Radio in 6000 something, that I wanted to blow out against an original Ford Navi. Refitting a GPS antenna, isn’t it? MFG MARV

  • 2.2l 12V GT Turbo instead of 2.0l 16V???

    hello! for me for days a question goes through the head which has already given me the one or other sleepless night: can the 2.0l 16V installed in the sample II can be exchanged against the 1er 2.2l Gt turbo or combined motor parts (e.g. GT turbo suction bridge and manifolds with turbo on the 2.0l 16V block) to win so more power? what is theoretically and practically possible or with low wall to realize? is the 2.2l combatibel with the 5gang gear of the 2er sample? i think all is clear what goes through the head for a project me… just before I get rid of it wildly and I want to get some crap together I want to catch up with honest qualified opinions on the topic of you I’m already my reitz there is already a sample II 2.2l GT turbo on the road for me… so tell me just what experiences you have made to the topic or how you see all that is thanks to me in terms of spatial equipment and equipment.

  • almost every test with motor damage!!

    hello people! wanted to give me a try. a 6 cylinder, if already. have been a lot rumstöbert and found a lot………….but one thing makes me really stunned. why did 3/4 of the cars I saw have a motor damage???????? how does that come? is the motor so sensitive or can all not drive a car. I drove from 4 to 8 cylinder cars that had far over 300000km on the jack. but I had a motor damage up to now never!!! the 6 or 8 cylinder you do not need to drive to the limiter so that it goes away. when I drive my car I turn the max. up to 5000/upm (if the engine is warm) everything about it I personally find already too loud (what the howling of the engine concerns) and don’t have to be with me. I just don’t understand why so many with the probes are to be sold with motor damage. so I’m better off.

    I need urgent help, with my sample 2 flashes recently the airbag light this makes me still crazy 😉 especially when I drive at night…….. I am in despair ….. I was already at the friendly ford dealer who unfortunately could not even delete the error memory, let alone could tell me what the problem could be or is, then I drove to bosch there but exactly the same problem, which could have been read out but only the motor control unit, so also not really what could bring me further, now I hope to get here from you help many thanks in any case already in advance

  • Spare parts sample GT Bj 92 and 91

    Hello rehearsal enthusiast! I have many to hand over many parts for US sample. Among fans of course at a fair price. From ’91 I still got the engine and gearbox with original 46″ km, it only drove until ’94 and then got shut down with a rear damage. I saved everything for my ‘ 92, which I have now shut down! The machine with 230″ km still runs sugar ( I used thermostat and starter from the other engine times). Of course spring legs and so I already got from ’91 in ’92! Please answer if what is needed (because must give the arms to the car… ) 🙁

  • Sample smokes 1min. according to cold breed

    Hello, would be able to use some good tips again, my sample BJ1995, 16v, smokes after the start, so `ne minute, smells so funny, then everything is normal again. If the engine is warm, nothing actually goes wrong. Must say that this only occurred for the first time after a completewechesl of timing belts and water pump, I had not seen it before. Would it be interesting for me to know what this is all about?

  • Ford Scorpio 2.3 BJ 98 head

    Hello together, I started for a friend to renew his 2,3 ldohc head seal. (Wagen has thrown the cooling water out of the exhaust.) I already marked everything and put down the head. I then made a 2,0 l head ohdc on it. Since the old one has the intermediate wall 1-2 duchgebrandt. Everything good until KM 25 , there flew me the suction bridge through the engine. So made a mistake! Head also against rounder. Have had right had head seal broken. New head seal on it, suction bridge glued, thermostat renewed. (Apply to that it was the reason for head seal 1 and 2 and the head has the part wool also on the present. So I also got everything against together, although my mark on the crankshaft lid was gone. And look there it doesn’t jump on! When it starts up we? and when it falls under 1500 tours?
