  • Turbocharger, too low loader pressure

Hello I am new here and hope for help. I bought a camper last year. The base vehicle is a Ford Transit year 5. 2008, 2400ccm, 140 Ps Diesel FIN Nr. WF0FXXTTFF7P41163. Now to my problem: After some1000km the lamp engine control went on. So I read out into the next Ford workshop and the error (code P0299) and paid off 30 euros. Control lamp was off, everything great. Continued. After about 500 km lamp again on, but still continue after a few km the lamp was out again. I now hoped that the problem has been solved by itself. Pustekuchen. After about 1500 km the lamp went on again, not during the ride, but it did not go out after the start process. I returned to a Ford workshop, the same error (P0299 turbocharger- too low charging pressure). They wanted to change the complete turbocharger immediately. But if I refused to delete the error, nothing was wrong this time. After 2000 km of lamp on again and as before it did not run out after the start process. I did not notice any loss of performance during the whole procedure. Someone knows a advice

  • Installation Stand-up heating – supply via diesel return line

Hello together, I am currently expanding my second camper. This time, however, not with gas heating, but with a diesel floor heating. Many go over the tanker and expand the whole tank. That would be my alternative now, but I would prefer to implement the supply of the heating via the fuel return line. Unfortunately, in the construction guidelines I can’t see where this is located, over the pictures of the spare part it is a bit easier. 1. Is it possible that a friendly forum friend with BEMM will give me access to the certainty of where the line is located 2. Does someone have experience of tapping the return line?

  • Is the extension of the LTE modem (TCU_CPPM) on a Ford Transit, technically possible?

Hello together, since I have not received a competent answer to my question from Ford directly, nor from a dealer, I turn to you once, in the hope that maybe one or the other can give me a technically experienced answer to the topic. I am currently in the decision-making process whether to order a new Ford Transit van or a vehicle of the competition. Since I like the Ford Transit with a higher quality audio system (e.g. 21 or 24) However, the problem arises from the fact that the new FordPass system, which also includes a fixed LTE modem, is also installed. According to Ford’s CAN-BUS plan, this module seems to be an external module TCU_ CPPM on the HS4-CAN bus. (See attached diagram and legend) Is there now the possibility to disconnect this module and/or expand it without putting the entire vehicle in a paralyzed position? I already realize that this would mean that the whole APP-Kra m and the remote control, as well as traffic information and just everything that an Internet connection needs, will not work any more. But then the rest of the vehicle and also of the media center still works, or comes a permanent error message? If yes, can this also be programmed? In principle, one would eliminate the complete HS4-CAN bus with the extension. Shouldn’t technically be a problem. Cell Phone Passport Module (MODEM for CGEA1.3c), or the complete HS4-CAN BUS can be easily expanded without causing any major interference in the media center and the remaining vehicle control? I ask you not to start a fundamental discussion here, why you were right to freedom and do not want to be permanently monitored. It is just a technical question, if it is possible. And yes, I could alternatively simply use the standard Radi o (Audiosystem 12), where the modem is not installed from the factory at all, but if it is somehow possible, then I would prefer the other audio system. I am happy to get a positive feedback on this topic.

  • tdci 2,0 – squirts like an animal

So, now my Mondeo has also caught it: At 154T km of mileage on Tuesday evening speeding up at the intersection, at once the pre-glow control flashes, as far as nothing unusual, I think, he just goes into the emergency run, tomorrow drove to the workshop. Wednesday morning he jumps at once totally unwillingly and squirts like an animal. So I called the ADAC, locksmith comes out and reads the error: Injection nozzle 2.Zylinder knock limit reached. ester to the dealer… Injector has been changed, error memory deleted – same result. new soft wait on it – no change. Electrical check – i.e. the car does not take any gas and smokes terribly. However, NO error is filed. Do you still have a hint??? My workshop seems to be baffled.

  • Ford Transit alternator

Hello dear ones, I’m asking for help. I’m looking for the battery charging control light on my Ford Transit Bus BJ. 2013, 2.2l with 100 HP EURO 5 engine when driving. Suspicious alternator failed. Now I’m thinking about installing a stronger LIMA. As standard, a 150A LIMA is installed. My idea is to install the 210A LIMA from Ford Transit Custom (2013 – 2015). This first custom model has the same 2.2l engine with EURO 5 installed, as far as I can see. Then the LIMA would also have to fit….? Optically on the Internet (purpose order looked) these look identical. Can anyone possibly give me information if this is possible? I would like to thank you for any feedback. My regards PS: I found a model of the 210A LIMA, where also the same number of ribs (6 ribs) are present on the strap disc as with my model. That would have to fit, right?

  • Old Essi, fit like a young god

So you dear Ford drivers! I’m new here and would like to introduce myself. I mother, animal keeper and Ford Escort lover, of course, also have one. *g* I’ve been reading here since I signed up here a few days ago and I’m happy to have found a nice Ford forum where I can get some tips to keep my neat “Salvadoooor” good. To Salvadoooor, he was born in 1990 at the manufacturer, a D-cabrio with 16 hundred Efi engine ohn e Schickschnack like electric window lifter, immobilizer, even the cover has to be opened by hand. I like to do it for him, since he has never let me down. Even at -17 degrees he drives with me through the snow everywhere and of course is allowed to spend the night in the garage after the exit. Well, butter with the fish… is there something I have to pay special attention to with him? I mean any typical defects (weary) that naturally occur at his age. Is there any special Ford Escort diseases of this type? I would be glad if some of you could speak here so that I can continue to take my snout.

  • Oil and antifreeze in winter

Hello together, my car has always been driven in relatively warm areas of Germany (area Stuttgart) and my car dealer has taken care of oil and frost protection, but now I have the fear that my settings here in Bavaria are no longer optimal. If I fill in new antifreeze, I have to replace the old solution. Should I just run the pump in the garage for a while and wait until the new mixture comes out? And how about the Oil out? I mainly travel longer distances (100km and more), can I just leave the oil alone or can the modern Motren oils be used at outside temperatures from -10 to -20 °C? Thanks for the information

  • Mounting the cylinder head Ford Escort 1.6

Hello, Yesterday I dismantled the cylinder head of my Ford Escort because it pushed air into the compensation tank from the water. Today I want to reassemble the head with new seal. Can someone please help me with the tightening torques? So the torque for the head screws and for the camshafts? And what else has to be fixed with torque? Unfortunately have no workshop manual. Oh so, it is a Ford Escort 1.6 Zetec engine. Year 1996. Many greetings and best thanks f For help.

  • This morning

Hello dear community of Essi friends would like to tell you something. I harvested poisonous looks from my neighbor this morning when we both started our cars. His three BMW according to the statement especially as a winter cart, didn’t start at all. *kicker* The starter ordered and the car didn’t want to wake up from his winter star. Now the appearance of the Super Escort The starter felt 1-2 times Wruuummmm car to XD The Blick! from the neighbor was to kill We had let and he told me that he would find Escorts so terrible and could NEVER let her drive such a simple unreliable car. *Ablach* So much for it! So since new oil, new battery, etc. my car starts like a young jumper and is then fully there. *Auto lob* Then I have a question for you. I’m not sure if my thermostat is defective, or just hangs or the like. The car gets relatively warm after 5-10 minutes. It stays a bit warm. My MK6 still has the vertical display. There is a small bit of temperature missing for the optimal mean value. Is this now due to the cold weather? Or does my thermostat hang? It gets warm quickly as already mentioned. But if the ride over the highway or so the temperature does not change either. So it does not get cooler but not warmer by driving wind. Heating works temperature-dependent. So eater in the norm range ices also chubby Warm. Leave like this or switch? lg Merle
