Starter failures in wet weather
Hello, I have an MK7 convertible, there is the following problem: Recently there was a lot of rain on the highway, and when I left, I had it roll out on the mountain as usual, because the traffic light at the end mostly shows red. At the traffic light I noticed that the engine was off. At the start attempt NO MUCKS, also no clapping from the magnetic switch. A friendly man helped me over the crossing and downhill he jumped (without starter) immediately again. In the parking garage I turned it off so that I On the way home I turned off the engine (in driving) several times and started again. I mean, he always jumped. Days later in wet weather in the city traffic: When sneaking in the second gear the stationary gas was temporarily higher and a few hundred meters later he went out again. Since I had already suspected that it might be a problem with the safety box, I had prepared a small hair dryer and with it the safety box After that he jumped on as if nothing had been done. Is the error now in the fuse box or to search around the motor control electronics or has it possibly to do with the sensor, which reports whether the car rolls or stands? The connection could also have become wet. Actually, it is not a bad mistake – but if he strikes and there is no standing track, it becomes critical because it is difficult to push away due to the high weight. So, where should he go? I’m starting to look? Greetings to everyone, Franky from OB

1.6 16V only has a spark on the 2nd and 3rd cylinder
Hello, I’ve been driving a Ford Escort 1.6 L; 16V; 90 HP: Built. 1994 Yesterday he went out while driving and didn’t jump anymore. I’ve already changed the ignition coil and this little ruler which is attached to it but without success. I’ve already exchanged ignition cables with each other and all work. I’m slowly at the end with my lattice. Cylinders 2 and 3 don’t get a spark but 1 and 4. Even with the switched ignition coil the same. What else can it be? n??? I’ve already read something about ZED here but don’t know what that is. Ohso, ECU has been exchanged without success. Thank you for your help. Mfg Christian

Scorpio 2 fits camshaft of 2.3 16V also at 2.0 16V?
After a camshaft break I am looking for a camshaft for a 2.0 16V. Unfortunately I only got a 2.3 liter with my scrap metal. In order to test the accuracy of the fit I have already installed the camshaft. Fits perfectly! Can I operate the engine without any further problems? Can I continue the assembly? Threaten consequential damage? Also the cams look absolutely identical at first glance. I hope for your experience. also have a 96 Coswor th tournament with torn steering chain stand in my place. Who needs parts? Is still almost complete…

airbag lamp lights permanently
Hello, I’m new to this forum and I’m very excited if anyone can help me. I came cheaply at a Scorpio tournament, BJ 01.94, where the airbag lamp lights permanently. Of course, I’ve already made a little smart here, but found nothing suitable. Some people here write about cables under the driver’s seat, which no longer have any contact. I removed the seat and found no cables. How does the harness actually function with the airbag system when the are not even connected to cables? For a quick answer I would be very grateful because I have to get the car over the Tüv this week. Greetings Zappa001

No fuel
Hello together! After I have bought my Scorpio new spark plugs, and have made clean it runs only on 5 cylinders. The 2nd cylinder on the passenger side does not get fuel, before cleaning it ran flawlessly. I have the battery jammed and cleaned everything decently and sprayed with contact spray but not touched anything at the injection or what else has to do with the fuel supply. I then have the battery clamped again and since then the 2nd cylinder without spr It. Should I disconnect the battery again, or the control unit depend? Does injection cleaner what? What could be the problem? Scorpio 2,9i V6 Built`93

wants to buy Scorpio Cosworth
Hello guys! I’m new here and I have a question to the venerable and experienced Ford community: my husband reviewed a Cosi yesterday, which can be sold in our neighboring town. – EZ: 97/ 300,000 km (long-distance vehicle, many new parts this year) – bike runs, as always…. On Saturday we want to look at it together. Is there besides the general things, special features that we should definitely look at, listen to and check out? – The just typical si Did any of you have any experience with one from this year?

Interior restoration
Hello guys, I would like to show you a few details about the renewal/restoration of my MK5/6 convertible today… Seats, seat steering wheel and gear bag were completely new with MB Catania leather grained new. Before, of course, the upholstery was revised and partly renewed and an additional Lordosenrest integrated. From the old partly strongly gammelled steering wheel, the old fur was removed and also new leathered, the same with the gear bag. was replaced by one of the 93 Ford Puma. Furthermore we removed the center console and cleaned the carpet. So, now the pictures….

Seatrest adjustment defective
Hello dear FORD friends, with my Essy Bj. 96 I have a problem with the driver’s seat. From time to time I take a break after the ride, whereby I adjust the seat back so that I can lie halfway comfortably. Over time the adjustment at the large knurled screw became more and more difficult, so that I finally removed the seat. Turned around and put oil into the mechanics. After removing the adjustment knurled screw I turned on the 10th double edge until the adjustment It seems to have lapped out to the right of the adjustment mechanism. Is the drive on both sides with gears and how do I get on the track of the mechanics? Is there an explosion drawing from the seat? I could first clamp a cushion on the right of the back – but that is not a permanent solution! Can anyone give a tip? Thanks already in advance, Gr outside of Franky from OB PS: Everything else on the adjustment is ok: In front and back, it snaps in super. The lever, so passengers can get in the back, folds down the backrest and the seat slides forward. The electric height adjustment is also ok.

Return lights at Escort Bj 94 Kombi do not work!
Hello, I was at the DEKRA last Monday and unfortunately the HU with some other parts like e.g. exhaust and crossbars did not pass. Apart from these moated parts, the return driving lights were not lit when inserted backward. Does any of you have an idea what is going wrong? The light bulbs were both in order and I also plugged in two new bulbs, only it did nothing. Mass cables are connected and all other light bulbs w ie, turn signal, rear lights, brake lights work! I have the assumption that the switch contact on the switch stick may not be okay. But I can’t find a switch like this. Has anyone ever had such a problem with you? Does anyone know where to find this switch on the switch stick? I would be very grateful for your support and help. Dillinger
