Hello, I have here a normal Escort 1,6l 16V 90 HP built in 1998. This is one without EFI suction bridge, which already has the beautiful plastic bridge from below. At this was known that the oil burned, water burned and also oil was in the cooling water. So the cylinder head seal. The car came from Düsseldorf and had to drive to Hanover, about 300 km with it gently. I have now everything renewed: cylinder head seal, valve shaft seals, water pump, timing belts, cooling water There were no abnormalities with the cylinder head, so no obvious cracks or similar. Cylinder head was also planned. At the old seal one also saw places where it no longer carried. As the head was also below I cleaned the idle switch, thermostat renewed etc. However, the speed remains at approx. 3500 rpm, as soon as you exceed it, if you stay below it also goes down to idle. Just above it not t. What can this be about? It’s not an automatic transmission. Above all, what bothers me is that it is also noticeably squeezing from this speed… and the smoke is very oily… Now I wonder, where does the oil come from?? Does Ford have any problems or something that I haven’t seen? Or is it still residual oil from the driveway? Valve shaft seals are new, so they can’t be. What do you mean so??

grim theme jerking in the warm condition
Hello together, the frequently occurring topic is jerking with a 96 Escord 16V with Zetec engine. he hooks up the jerking when he has reached the operating temperature,(display for example in the middle) Then he starts to buck, no more gas takes on. In idle mode the speed commutes between 1200 and and almost go out.After switching off and nem Neustaart after 1-2 min he runs again normal for some time. I believe all the topics that the jerking encounters read through, it still jerks. Now I have replaced the following parts in this order. 1. Spark plugs (were NGK in) 2 ignition cables 3. Ignition coil 4. Hey mates! I would like to have the complete maintenance costs for the new ST! Here are: Insurance Tax Consumption Tyre prices (how good is the standard tyres) Customer service How are your experiences on the race track so far? are there already which ones were on the ring or Hockenheim? Ever measured a Vmax with GPS? acceleration times 0-100 and more important 100-200? How does it last from about 210km/h? I guess by the slightly larger cylinder capacity a little more efficient, or ? CW-value? reason for these questions: I have a Honda Civic Type-R (see signature) and am just thinking if I should exchange it for a ST. It’s not as expensive in maintenance as my Type-R as I see it to date, but it must be more boring to drive… because it’s not a speed-dicksau, let alone puristic!

Refuel SuperPlus = Save?!
I once again – (who else?) I would like to share an experience. After I had given my Ti-VCT instead of Super Benzin SuperPlus out of a “tempered” two weeks ago (just give him the good fabric), I noticed something then: The consumption indicator of my BC, which had fed itself over the winter due to rides with light, heating, windscreen wiper etc. on a consumption value between 8 and 8.5 liters, inserted a galloping reverse movement. h 2x Tankfüllung SuperPlus I caught her finally jumping secretly on 7.5ltr/100km – and that without previous reset of the last value! Now I wanted to know it. Refueled again, again SuperPlus, this time consumption indicator set back and observed the following days with eagle eyes. It is now at 6.6ltr/100km and I have not changed my driving mode… . Since I observed my fuel consumption based on the tank receipts and the driven kilometers e (Unfortunately, the BC is not exactly!) it turns out that I now consume a whole litre at 100 kilometers of WENIGER. Range Tank filling = 650 -700km = 6.5 liters saved = (6,5ltr x 1,30€) = 8.45€ Additional costs SuperPlus = 0,06€/ltr = (50ltr x 0,06€) = 3,00€ 8,45€ – 3,00€ = 5.45€ Savings per tank filling. Now I ask you: Isn’t that worth at least one thought?

DVD Navi and I don’t know what to do…
Hello together, has one of us already installed another Navi in his Focus II or even ST (Kenwood or Alpine)? Are there pics of it? If yes, have the boxes been changed? What about the connection to the CAN bus, is a Dietz adapter enough? Where did you hide the Navicomputer (e.g. Kenwood)? Where does the GPS antenna go? KA: Four-year limit?
Hello, my Ka Futura EZ 05/01, 55,000km, has recently developed a preference for workshop stays, needed e.g. completely new brakes, now the compressor of the A/C has broken and the axle cuff is marode, so should be renewed soon. Besides, the little one starts to rust slowly, e.g. at the window buttons. Does this go on and on now? I’m not really so willing, every year beside the costs of wear parts (tires special size!) still 500-70 0 € for workshop costs. What are the experiences?

heat. Front window ordered – but not delivered – retrofitting possible?
Hello together! With our new C-Max the special equipment “Heatable windshield” ordered by us was not delivered. According to the dealer a retrofit is technically not possible and it therefore offers us in addition to refund of the surcharge (self-evidently) a discount still to be negotiated… – How far can I trust the statement regarding the not possible retrofit? – What a discount is possible or usual in such cases?
