My questions now to you; 1. Fiesta for my wife
Hello, I’m usually to be found in the e46 forum, only today it takes me here, because I would like to buy my wife a Fiesta. But I’m not sure which one to buy. 50 , 60 , or 75 HP How does it look in the present comparison with the maintenance ? I want to spend around 2k€ so, and it should not be older than Bauj. 97. Is there an engine with steering chain, instead of timing belts, and how durable are the machines. What about rust, what do I have to pay attention to? 1.8 L Endura Diesel no longer starts ( after 6 months of snow white sleep )
I have a 1.8 liter ( 44kW / 60 HP ) Fiesta Post-Courier of type J3S with EZ December 1997. Car has been deregistered since Dec. 2005. In June 2006 chewed from the post ( with broken springs front – on both sides ! and empty power steering fluid tank ). Until January 2008 repeatedly moved briefly ( without any problems ) In February 2008 when the V-belts of the alternator started whistled and started to stink. LiMa was fixed. Now in July 2008 I wanted to move it again. and it doesn’t start anymore. LiMa has “destroyed” again by itself. Diesel arrives at the nozzles. when I start the engine after the start of the preglallamp it sounds as if the battery does not have enough power. Therefore I have installed the 81 amper battery from the big tractor (which is only 6 months old ). But the same effect. I have removed the glow plugs and visually checked it. Nothing to see (can one measure an ohmic value there ??) After approx. 4 up to 5 start attempts a little black smoke comes out on the exhaust and the ignition cables on the battery ( Plus and MINUS ) and above all the plus cable to the glow plugs are extremely hot !!! I burned my fingers after the 4 start attempts. Start pilot sprayed into the air filter box ( immediately before the “intake bridge ” ). Also brings nothing. Did I destroy something in February by the solid LiMa ?? Cann’t be. I found everything possible here in the forum but no suitable solution f I haven’t installed a new diesel preheating yet, because at 29 degrees outside temperature this should work – or ??? many desperate greetings calliente

Fiesta running at snail’s pace
Hello dear forum participants, have bought me last Tuesday a Fiesta (at an Arab dealer, although I had my concerns – prejudices back or forth !!) , year 96 with 116,000 allegedly gel. km – first everything was ok, the vehicle came only slowly on tours (had been driven by old people) – but for two days I notice that the vehicle sometimes “does not pull” at all when giving gas and sometimes you can no longer get out over 80 km/h – then it can be minutes late Since yesterday you can also notice slightly knocking noises in the engine room (Oh God, how can I describe this, surely sounds stupid :-))) – but maybe this tells the Fiesta connoisseur something !!?? What can this be? I sincerely ask for your help – I hope not that I have bought a vehicle with engine damage :-((((Regards – Vampire – which is sad and angry about it because she gave her “last shirt” for it !!!!

Car sounds very funny!!!
So now we also have a problem with our nasty: Statement of my wife who is on cure: The car once banged on the AB and dan started the clacking in the engine room… So: I listened to it today because I visited her…. it’s really a speed dependent loud clacking that comes from the valves…. ????? What my people ???? And what might have banged…. Oil is in it… However, it all doesn’t look so oily when I remove the plug from the top u nd inlook (where you fill in oil) RiX

Absorbers & springs are totally finished I soon need new
hello, I notice every day how unpleasant my shock absorbers affect the driving behaviour. I now have 140000km on it. Think they are just finished and have done their service after 10 years. they crack when starting or if you give apprupt gas etc. The question is the Tüv makes a fail when shock absorbers are sucked out? since I am just doing civil service the money is not so loose, nevertheless I would like to please my car do new shock absorbers and springs install z u let. now the cost point is of course important. a good sports suspension costs easily 400€. I would be completely satisfied with serial dampers and a set of lowering springs 35mm. what does that cost in about? can ford do that? or are there any other providers like t.b euromaster or pitstop where to offer this?

Ford Fiesta noise at 20-30 km/h
Hello. I have a Ford Fiesta 2003 1.4 TDCI with Durashift transmission. Recently he makes a funny noise at about 20-30 km/h. Sounds like a deep howl. Like if something would grind. And at 50-60 km/h it sounds like a wheel bearing is defective. From 60 the noise is gone. Can anyone tell me what that could be ?? Mfg

Hello, the bile comes up to me when I think that I can throw away my beloved Fiesta, (first registration 8/89) who has run only 130,000 km, perfectly through the TÜV until 2010, still because he has no catalyst, or can get. Motor probably over
Hello dear Ford community, and that seems to be the engine of the Escort (tournament, 1.4 engine, EZ 1998) from my uncle over to the background: Yesterday my uncle wanted to park and drive with us. He told me that there was a dull blow and he didn’t get the reverse gear out (engine was still running, but did not take any more gas). I then went down and we got the gear out by “swivel”. He tried to start again (engine turned) After the second start attempt the starter only made a crack, but the engine did not turn (battery was now also empty). I looked at the thing, but could not notice much because of the lack of light and tools. I only saw that the VDD was leaking, it came out of the oil filler bits of blue smoke and there was no oil to be seen on the oil measuring rod (it had only 0.5 L refilled in August). ADAC called and had to be dragged to the next workshop (was unfortunately Sunday evening). Today the workshop had called and told my uncle that the engine can no longer be turned off and is apparently solid. What do you think? Could the timing belt have been torn or have the pistons got stuck because of lack of oil? Is there still something to save or does a new engine have to come (Sorry have no idea of Ford engines, my area is Opel)? What is the engine code of the 1.4 of the 98 Escort and which engines would fit too? MfG Sven

Hello my new radio does not have a chinch output ! What do I have to do . I want to connect my amplifier only without chich input that will be nothing . And another question and that is where the small thin cable comes from with the chinch plugs ?
