  • Ford Escort (BJ 97) “bollerts”

    Hello, I just came back from my girlfriend’s parents and my escort already made strange noises on the way there. First of all, I noticed that the speed indicator (tacho needle) trembles strongly. Furthermore, the car “bollers” in the stand. The whole sounds like it is always “recharged”. On the way back everything was quite normal at the beginning. The speed indicator also behaved calmly.   • Wolf lowering springs only for diesel?

    Hello community! I am looking for lowering possibilities for my Escort MK7 1.6 16V ( 97 year of construction ) and since a complete chassis is quite expensive, I have landed for the time being with lowering springs. Since I found at Ebay of Wolf which for 59€. This seems to me to be a bit cheap, because most other springs cost 100 or more. What is confused me is that in the description is that the springs are only suitable for diesel vehicles. However, can’t imagine what feathers have to do with diesel or gasoline (apart from the weight difference of the engine, which is regulated by the maximum axle load).     Hello, yesterday I bought a Ford Escort 1.6CL (MK4?) Built 1986 with 86800km. A real retired vehicle.     Hello! I’ve been getting a new Focus ST since a few weeks..! He has now about 1800km down and I was already at the oil change so that I can really give gas as well prescribed!!! But now I have a problem that he squeaks when starting the engine when it’s cold!!! If I have pulled the car up 2-3 times that’s already gone again..! Nervt only that when it’s cold and I start him then he squeaks and sounds stupid..! my workshop m I agreed that this comes from the turbo but they don’t know what it is and that it will eventually go away again!     Moin. Since our Sprinter is soon out of the leasing it will be time for a new transporter. Now I want to buy a “good” used one, and in my research I came across a transit box 350 from 2014 with 2.2 liters engine and 155 hp, which suits me. I used the search here once for the engine, but I was not helped so properly… How are the experiences with the engine here? Is the recommended or should one rather leave the fingers of it?     Hello, since I will soon rewind about 30tkm/year, I think to switch to a diesel. How is the use of the respective diesel at 100km/h and at 130km/h? According to the FOFOI brochure, the difference between my 1.6 and a diesel in this range would be max. 1.5L/100km. I consume at 100km/h 6.5 and at 130km/h 7.0L. Then a change would not be worthwhile, as my car is only two years old and I would have a value loss of over 5tsd EUR, which would not more to enter.
