  • New Ford KA, but which one?

    I’m looking for a used Ford KA, if possible the new model. I mainly drive to work and not on holiday with it. Question would be, which year of construction is recommended, and which engines exist? What about the classification with you, so insurance is so rough and the taxes? Are there known weak points, also on the new model? What about rust prevention, does the low spare parts price? I would basically need a switch, and an air conditioning/air conditioning automatic (also has my current car). Otherwise, because my old 14-year-old car doesn’t have that, all the new ones also have a radio remote control? El Fh? 3 or 5 doorrs? Servo? I already sat in the new model, and found the sitting position quite pleasant for big people. But I’m also caring with the Fiesta and I don’t need much equipment in particular. I just need the air conditioning system important and a servo. I don’t need any more to drive a car. Could someone ever count on the advantage / disadvantages of Ford KA and Ford Fiesta? Because I don’t want to give me the model, which one?

  • Valves crooked

    I had a Ford Ka Bj 1998 50 hp when I drove yesterday on the highway about 120 km/h, I had a power loss and suddenly the engine went off. I ran right up and wanted to start the engine again. The starter turned the engine not on. I opened the oil cover and saw at the start that the camshaft turns but without resistance. When the spark plug was removed the electode bent, i.e. the piston bent the spark plug. All the valves (except 1st cylinder) are crooked. What comes from this? My workshop says that I had switched off, but what was not the case, moreover, it would have disassembled the gearbox beforehand or not? Would every helpful answer be grateful, since the car still has a guarantee and I have the feeling that they want to rip me off.

    Hello! I would like to add one end stage, one bass box and 2 additional speakers to the hut rack! I would like to have the following questions and maybe someone can help me!! 1. How and where do I best put the cables from the battery and from the radio into the trunk? 2. What kind of speakers fit into the skin rack? there are any installation tips by reason of reinforcement etc? 3. How do I fix the bass box? Just put it in the trunk? So that’s it for now!!     Dear colleagues, introduce myself briefly… my name is Alfred, I have a few US-Oldies and when I read the offer of Ford Kuttendreier in the fall: “Mustang 5.0 GT Cabrio 425 Euro in Leasing” I spontaneously decided to get one of these. Now I also have a current US-car. Delivery took a bit off, but I didn’t have a hurry. Today it was time… Machine is booming neatly, as it should be… Otherwise I can’t say much… The first trip went through Munich’s official evening traffic in light rain. I’m waiting for a nice convertible weather. I certainly can’t need a few tips, especially for infotainment. I have to read in there first. Conversions/tunings I don’t want to do anything, a leasing car doesn’t go anyway. First Aha experience: the thing has comfort access… I didn’t know at all. Negative (but in practice irrelevant): Engine hood has to be supported with support rod… so the peas counters were grateful for Ford at any time.

    Due to the Austrian law situation unfortunately hardly FINANCABLE for private individuals! Purchase costs from approx. 55,000,- (that would be ok, although the state there with 32% extra extra). Net price plus 32% surcharge for NOVA (standard consumption tax) on it again 20% VAT. (so tax on the “tax” therefore only from 55 EUR to have. However, the hammer is the annual car tax of EUR 2,450,– !!! liability insurance from approx. 250,– as well as cocoa from approx. 350,– yearly actually within the framework and ok. So, now it is with mark here…. but as a state you should also refuel also or tires, service etc. 😉 Has one of you ever thought about a lawsuit at the ECJ, because unequal treatment of EU citizens? As an entrepreneur with own company you get huge problems with unequal treatment – but as a state you can get that?? Especially in today’s time you have to have a relatively good chance with such a bit of good chances! PS: Therefore I drive so far and continue my Scirocco with 122 PS the annual benefit of K95, too.

    Hi, since yesterday I have a Ford Orion 1.8 in my possession. Would you like the thing now TÜVen. However, the rust points have to be repaired. Problem zone are door sills left, wheel run left and the tank hole. Can you give me tips on how to repair the damage best? The rest is far without rust. For the wheel run and the tank hole there are at ebay repair plates. How do I best when welding in the repair sheet? And what would you do with the sill? Have at home a protective gas welding equipment and also have certain knowledge, however, body work are absolute new land for me. Would I be very pleased about your tips.     Hi together, this is my first post and I would be happy about a little help. I assumed on and for myself that my vehicle should be ok and the Tüv should not be a problem. But I was unfortunately alone with this opinion. The Dekra examiner noted the following defects: – gearbox strongly oiled – crossbar left front / metal rubber bearing worn – crossbar right front / metal rubber bearing damaged – stabilizer left front storage raised. Game – threshold left rusted through – threshold right several times rusted – parking brake system lever way / empty way too large The removal of the points should cost about 600 €. Is the price justified? How expensive are the spare parts and can I possibly get them myself cheaply? My father is a KFZ ́ler and likes to screw around on vehicles. Could he also do this himself (shelf stage would be available with a colleague)?

  • Mondeo Tournament/Wind Noise

    Hello forum members, I would like to buy a Mondeo tournament Bj.05/2002. I have heard from a colleague ( he also drives a ) that there are problems with wind noises on the A and B pillars in the tournament. Supposedly there is a conversion set of various door rubbers for this problem of Ford. However, his car will only be converted in 2 months so that he can not tell me any price yet. It should be so that Ford will take over some of the costs on a culant. Does anyone of you then know how high the own share will be and how one can see if the conversion has already been made. I have to buy a Ford from a VW dealer and that unfortunately has no idea about it, but would possibly take over the conversion costs at Ford. Furthermore, I would be interested if there is a checklist what I should consider when buying a used one. It is a Mondeo tournament 05/02 2.0 Lieter 145 PS with hand-operated and all kinds of schnickschnack like multimedia system and Navi and Ghia equipment.
