Hello together, I bought today a Ford Ka Bj 97. This is my first Ford ever. The vehicle has run 70 tkm and is in a very good condition. Unfortunately, the air conditioning does not bring the desired performance which behaves as follows: Turn on the air conditioning (of course with running engine), light control light, you can hear a switching noise in the vehicle room (relay ? ), however, the typical one-coupling noise of the air conditioning compressor and a corresponding rotation fence are missing The engine, which I know from many other vehicles. There is no particularly cold air. Outside temperature >5° Who can give me a tip or give me possible causes of error ? I don’t necessarily want to go to a workshop. Thank you

Buy Ford Focus II or Skoda Octavia I?
Hello, I am faced with the decision to buy either a Ford Focus II (74kW gasoline, special model Fun-X) or a Skoda Octavia I Tour (75kW gasoline plus package Prime). Equipment is similar for both: climate, el. exterior mirror & window lifter front, on-board computer, CD radio (MP3 only at Octavia), heatable windscreen only at Focus. Both are about 13.300€ (Focus as day registration 3 months old, Octavia new order with list price minus 14%). Differences are marginal – rather optical. Skoda is almost too long for me – 20cm longer than Focus (place conditions at my parking space somewhat cramped) and the Focus has the heatable windshield (for me as an “outdoor parker” an interesting feature). On the other hand, the Octavia already has an MP3-suitable radio and a larger trunk. In addition, it will be built for many years and should be very mature, while the Focus II is only built for a good 2 years. I only like the Focus II. I like its suspension extremely well. I have to test it at Octavia I. What arguments could speak for the Focus or the Octavia I from your point of view? Are there typical problems with the two? Thank you+Greet Astrawerner

I ask for your help!!!!!!!!!Escord Don’t jump.
Hello first of all. I have a big problem I bought some time ago an Escort BJ 1994 Should be an MK 6 angular headlight front rear round airbags. 1.8 liter EFI 16 V. The thing was standing all the time and I had thought when buying ok that can only be the batt. or the starter is not a thing. But sh…. when I had the car then I first noticed a couple of things so I changed the starter, the fuse box in the car, the Mas I can’t imagine the engine. Of course, the gear can’t have jumped over, too. But then it doesn’t block like that or??? What I noticed is that the starter dropped terribly after burnt clutch when changing. That’s why I also believe in the theory with the clutch that has completely disassembled and some block or stop gears whereby I’m unsettled because the gears go in dry super and you don’t notice anything at the clutch pedal. I’ve never seen anything like this before and I’m going crazy soon. Hope on a tip. But maybe someone has a ignite idea that spares me this egg dance.

Contents Box / side paneling left back at the tailgate?
Hello Ford community, I’m currently looking for a transit custom for a buddy to have it upgraded as a camper. That’s why I’m looking for one without interior trim – because the vehicle is being insulated and re-dressed during the conversion. Many cars in question have a very wide panel at the left side back (see picture). So far, I assumed that the heater (at least component such as ejectors etc.) is installed among them. But this space-consuming panelling ng also have vehicles without heating. So what’s underneath and can this panel be removed without any problems? Thank you very much, Greeting Daniel

Electronic problem – rear fog lamp flashes
I have had the following problem with my transit since last week: When I brake and/or flash the control lamp for the rear fog lamp lights. The vehicle has NO trailer coupling and no filament lamp has been replaced and/or something has been changed on the vehicle electronics. All lamps on the vehicle work. From time to time the error is also gone I have already removed both rear lights and checked for ground errors, but found nothing. Also the 3rd brake lamp is OK. If I turn on the warning flashing system and step on the brake without ignition, flash all indicator lights in the AI and the KM indicator also flashes. Who can possibly give a hint where I can look for???

miserable acceleration CLX,1,4L,71PS,BJ 91 Escort
Hi! find it just not ..here or other forum yes already discussed. My escort has to be driven in 3th and 4th with gas pedal on bottom sheet so full throttle. And even then it is still very sluggish and tough.. What can it be? Or is this engine/gear really sooo bad?? Since purchase with bad car house (some defects) with wrong or not adjusted timing belt. There it was still much worse. The one or other workshop proved to be unfavorable despite test drive. New clutch installed or obviously had no idea otherwise. Until a workshop when renewing timing belts just by the way adjusted … Or can motor thereby have suffered damage ? By the years of driving with wrong timing belt adjustment ? Or what else can it lie ? Compression ? Car so 19 years old . 146 000 km

Can help me one !!!
On Monday (12.04) I bought a Ford Escord Kombi Bj 08/95 1.6 V 90PS, which was originally also driven in an ordinary way. Now he starts to get his balls. It’s only about the next year he has to go to the tuv! The engine starts to jerk in the stand as well as in the ride, and consumption significantly more! The towing service said that it could only be the air-mail knives because Ford has a problem with it, which would also be done in the workshop but the problem is if you plug it The engine must also go off (according to the workshop) but that doesn’t make the engine. ! further to the bad unfortunately you found out that a spark plug (still installed the border) is full of oil, the spark plug would be made out and you could see that the spark plug already floats in oil ! Since the spark plug is in oil you have also right at the air filter after cuckolded shot oil !! Valve head seal is in order no oil and water loss says the towing service (is also dry) Ka n n me Request of a help that I don’t want to give the car any more!! I thank you in advance MfG Sunny03

What speed at the cold start?
Yesterday I reported here that the speed fluctuations since the installation of a new idle control valve ́s are gone. But I have the feeling that maybe something is not as yet as it should be. Therefore a question to you: At the cold start speed goes to 2,000, stops there short time, then falls to 1,500 and again after a while it goes down to about 1000 and remains constant. Are these values ok? However, the gas “runs” when switching up and stopping still so about 3- 5 sec. after, i.e. after that only finally drives down to the approx. 1000 revolutions. Could this be a hint of a defective vent valve of the crankshaft housing? Valve I had recently “flooded” with brake cleaner, until running out “broths” was clear. Or is the behavior of my engine completely normal? If NO, could a new learning of the control unit make a difference, since a new electronic part was installed?

Tourneo Connect Grand as a family car??
Hello guys, who of you is driving a newer Ford Tourneo Connect Grand? Can you recommend this car as a family car? What are the weaknesses? Advantages? We need a bigger car because of the younger generation. Our BMW E 39 is easily too small with twin cars including children and adults plus all the necessary utensils. Of course, the E 39 is not sold. Or would a VW Caddy Maxi be the better choice instead of the Tourneo Connect?? Thank you.
