Hello, have a problem with my Ford Escort 1.6 16V built in 1995. When I wanted to leave yesterday he jumped on, but was the whole time shortly before drinking. I then drove to the side and turned it off for a short time. When I wanted to start it again he didn’t jump on… I then noticed that the oil level was just below the minimum and filled up engine oil. I don’t know, however, if it could be due to the low oil level, that he didn’t jump any more. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a problem with my Ford Escort 1.6 16V built in 1995. g/no idea of cars. Strangely, however, I find that there was so little oil in it, although it was only filled up in December. Almost 1 litre was missing. Fortunately, it ran then, but after driving I noticed that a black liquid came out of the exhaust (probably oil). Now I can think why so much oil was missing, I guess never noticed that before. But what can this be about? Bzw. what can you do there? I was also told last time that with me the timing belt including water pump needs to be changed, can it somehow be related to it? Greeting, Toby

Searching for a specific relay..Question to electric professionals
Have a question to the electric pros 🙂 , I’m looking for a relay that has practically two inputs and an output. The inputs would come in plus and the relay should only switch through to the output when both inputs are on plus at the same time and otherwise not. Hope you know what I mean 🙂 Where do such a one come from? Maybe a link for me?…The next Conrad branch is pretty far away, do you have such a relay?

Expansion of starters at Ford Transit
Hello my name is Jörg and our Ford Transit built in 2006, 2198cm3 as a camper needs a new starter. The following problem was creeping up. Every now and then the starter had difficulties to start. Slowly started and then became faster and faster until the engine started. At the penultimate time he needed to jump in for eternity and one had smelled it at some point. Nevertheless, the transit started well the next day. That was the last time he checked in. The starter only makes once more clack when the key is turned in starting position. Mass connection is ok, power supply from battery driver seat to the engine and up to the starter ok. Voltage over 12 volt. Power supply from ignition lock to starter is probably also ok, otherwise no crack noise would come. I now firmly believe that the magnetic switch does not let through any power to starter and would like to order the now gladly expand a proper starter. It’s a big cable that’s already loose, but is kept by a plastic tab that goes under the magnetic switch. There’s also another cable where I would say that this should be the cable of ignition lock. But this cable can’t be disconnected / pulled off. It looks like it’s firmly connected to the magnetic switch. Can that be?. I know it, that you have a cable with a cable shoe that is simply pulled off. I’m surprised that this yellow/green cable from the wire harness is firmly connected to magnetic switches. The thick cable can’t be removed from the screw either because of this plastic holder. Maybe someone can say more about this, be grateful about help. As it looks like, the starter is only screwed to gear with two screws and off it is then, or maybe someone also has a transit from you and has this too. The transit has dropped 125,000 and the starter is welcome to retire. I don’t always want to worry about whether the transit starts or not. Thank you for your help Greeting Jörg

Tourneo Custom: Instead of snow chains start-up aid?
No snow chains are possible with the 215/65 R16C tyres for reasons of space. Has anyone tried starting aids? See photo

Winter tyres and snow chains
We have a Ford Tourneo Custom (HSN 8566; TSN BRV004263; serial tyres 17 inches) and I’m looking for winter tires, on which you can raise snow chains. I don’t care about aluminium or steel rims. I’ve already scraped off the big online suppliers – there are no complete wheels, let alone with approval for snow chains. I couldn’t find a local dealer either. The snow chains have to be unfortunately, because we regularly go to winter sports and there is partly snow chain duty. Thank you very much for any help.

flexible service interval
The 80TKm service incl. oil change for our Ford Transit L2H2, built in 2020, was made towards the end of October 2021. According to the service booklet is next service at 120K or in years, which follows first. Today is the km stand at 90Tkm. In the board computer under vehicles, maintenance, oil condition service stands in 20Tkm – i.e. at 110Tkm instead of the 120TKm. How is that possible?? No change in driving style. Half short distance, half long distance. With the yellow oil measuring rod only the 2 upper holes are free of Ö l. – But why do I suddenly have 10Tkm less until the next service interval? – Does the system measure the residual distance to the next service and the oil quality, or by the amount of oil? – How do I check minimum oil loss? Does anyone know this problem?

Refurbishment Tourneo Custom
Hello together, I’m thinking about retrofitting a heater for my Tourneo Custom. Is there any experience here? Which brand should you take? Can you install a heater with something fancy yourself? Must what be coded? Greetings Jimmy

Where did the 185hp engine go in the Tourneo Custom?
Moin, since yesterday, i.e. 18.11., is a new price list for the Tourneo Custom online and the big diesel with 185hp is no longer available. It was replaced by a 170hp variant. Can anyone tell me why here? Thanks Petz
