  • Consumption Mondeo

Hi, I would be interested in how your experiences in the field of consumption are. I have a 94s, almost 95s Mondeo tournament, AHK etc. with 80000 Km (I bought it with 75000 Km for 2450€, horny offer), 66Kw and I am a bit disappointed about the consumption. He swallows 12 liters and highway at 130 Km/h around 10, is that normal or is something wrong? In the operating instructions he is indicated with less consumption, but that means nothing… Thanks in advance. Greetings Stephen

  • Ford quality

Hello everybody, I’ve been Audi+VW driver for a long time, and now I want to buy a station wagon or something like that. Since Audi + VW has become much too expensive, and I like the Mondeo and the C-Max very much, we think about getting a Mondeo combi or C-Max as a gasoline driver. Now I am constantly reading of defects and rust of new cars, so I have some doubts. Or is there also Ford drivers “without defects”? Does someone actually drive a current Modeo combi with the 1.8l gasoline machine and has experiences to report?? Thank you for every hint! MfG simon.michel

  • Yellowish lubricator in the oil refill nozzle

Hello guys, so I have a Fiesta BJ 1991 with 40 KW and am actually very satisfied with the reliability. To my problems: 1. Does he need a lot of oil (about 1l on 1000 km) but in the engine compartment there is little to recognize. Is it bad that he burns it? I just fill it more often… 😉 2. Does he sometimes have a yellowish slime at the place where one refills oil. It may be that this has only happened since when he got a little hot by tearing off the V-belt. but I’m not sure. I’m not from the subject and I’m very grateful for all kinds of help, of course.

  • Unquiet idle XR3i KE-Jetronic

Hello! I have the following problem with my XR3i Cabrio Bj. 87 with KE-Jetronic 90 HP: In a warm condition the engine jerks a little, which expresses itself, as if there were a problem with the ignition system (Zündaussetzer). I have here, because I myself car-mechanic connected the vehicle to an engine tester, whereby I could see that on the part of the ignition system everything is ok. Furthermore I checked the idle exhaust values, which are also ok. To an error/falsc to exclude heinsetellung of the mass divider idle basic setting I have installed an experimental megenteiler of another vehicle, whereby the error persisted. Has someone already gained experience with this error and can say how to fix this problem? Thank you in advance! MfG. J.Terlinden

  • Peugeot or Ford TDCI?

Hello, Here’s a question from Holland so please excuse for error in my German…. Drive yourself a Mondeo tournament TDCI 130 HP , EZ 03-2002 and now 95Tkm. Have had quite a lot of manco’s with the engine (injection box, pump, chip, computer) and now the engine is always nog not running well. I have now (according to the workshop) CD-27 installed, and engine is quite loud. Zehr noisy when cold, but always nog loud when warm. Klinkt zehr metallicisch, und i think this is a software reason ha t. With Processer CD-26 the engine was really less noisy, but has “turned” between 1800-2200 tpm. Fast and comfortable (except the larm) is the Mondeo, and consumption is always around 6.0-6.5 liters / 100 km Really clean and good is probably impossible for the TDCI, I think that somewhere in the concept is something not good. Does Ford think that too, and is that the reason that is installed in the Focus C-Max now the HDI 136 Ps / 320Nm ? I heard that the new Volvo S40 / V50 also the the HDI 136 hp diesel, and not the “orginal” 130 hp TDCI as well as the recent is installed in the Jaguar. What is peculiar to the Grose plan of Ford with the 2-liter 4-cylinder diesel engines? Why parallel the 130 hp Ford and the 136 Ford / PSA engine? Who can give me more info ? Thank you..

  • MONDOE TDCI Yes or No

Hello together, since recently I am Ford Mondeo 2.0 (Bauj. 08.2001) Diesel driver. The machines are the 2.0 TDDI 115 HP version. The car we bought used at a workshop and runs so great. However (don’t know exactly) we have problems with the paint. The paintr who painted the cars for the workshop simply did not have it on it. After 4 starts he got it on the line (probably). Reason: the paint had gone off again. (D) now the dealer has made us an offer because we had so much trouble. For an extra charge of 1500 euros we would get a Ford Mondeo Bauj 1/2003, TDCI 130PS. The car has about 27000km (which now has 52000km). Equipment is the same (both GHIA equipment). I am thinking about whether I should do this or not. I would be very happy about the answers.

  • My beautiful Focus TDCI SCHROTT

Hello, my wife set our beautiful focus against a concrete wall this morning at 8:30 am. Curve was icy, could have happened to me too…and in ice you lost, no matter how good you drive a car. Statement by the police that in a smaller car she probably wouldn’t have survived the accident. Except for a shock and a little hurling trauma her god is missing thanks to nothing. I looked at the car after the work, I could have cried on the spot. The engine hood was two-thirds shorter. The passenger cell was still fully intact except for a skipped front window. The driver’s door could still be opened and closed without any problems. The passenger door was no longer. The rear axle was also completely crooked (had taken the sidewalk before the impact). Thanks Ford. Problem, we need a new car. I looked around at Audi, VW and looked around. If I see the driving performance of their 103kw diesel and the equipment and then the price ( The next car can only be a Ford Focus. So, where do I get a Sport TDCI at the moment the best. The car should of course be new. Important, is for the current Focus diesel still something planned in the direction of D4? Many say hello Rainer

  • Mondeo ST series

Hi guys, as a hard-on Ford Sierra Tunier ( 2,0i DOHC ) driver and screwdriver myself I noticed that the car is getting older and older *gg* Since I’m getting older (you’re getting older too 😉 no more bucks around ( almost every weekend) various actions like, engine tune, lower down, spoiler mount, electric stuff like FH, alarm, ZV, Hifi system, etc. etc…. it’s time to upgrade again to another car. Since I have an almost “finished” car. To buy a car my eye fell on the Mondeo ST … Tunier. Unfortunately I still lack a lot of info ́s and tips about this equipment variant of the Mondeo. I hope to find in this forum people who not only give a lot of BLA, BLA of themselves, but have useful info ́s for me. First of all what is basic: How is this with the exact designations and the corresponding years of construction ? The model I find interesting belongs to the series 1996 – 2000 …. Is this then a ST 200 ( 205 PS ), as 3.0 a ST 220 or how is that meant ? What does the designation MK have to say ? Is this an own equipment variant that has to do with the ST nix ? Is the ST designation of the current series exactly the same , i.e. ST 200 and ST 220 or how ??? So far first. Thank you for information . Greeting CruiserY2K

  • Like with the Mofa: Burn out final pot???

I have already posted that I have a bosipot, but of course I don’t have the super sound. Now I have an idea: as insulation wool in the pot should there be stone wool in it, or am I crazy???? Can I not let them burn together with it? HA, that would be something: tip in petrol (after the expansion of the pot of course), light, POFF, ignite, boil, reinstall, voila! What do you mean? Has anyone already gained experience with it? Te Hey, I really care!
