  • My beautiful Focus TDCI SCHROTT

Hello, my wife set our beautiful focus against a concrete wall this morning at 8:30 am. Curve was icy, could have happened to me too…and in ice you lost, no matter how good you drive a car. Statement by the police that in a smaller car she probably wouldn’t have survived the accident. Except for a shock and a little hurling trauma her god is missing thanks to nothing. I looked at the car after the work, I could have cried on the spot. The engine hood was two-thirds shorter. The passenger cell was still fully intact except for a skipped front window. The driver’s door could still be opened and closed without any problems. The passenger door was no longer. The rear axle was also completely crooked (had taken the sidewalk before the impact). Thanks Ford. Problem, we need a new car. I looked around at Audi, VW and looked around. If I see the driving performance of their 103kw diesel and the equipment and then the price ( The next car can only be a Ford Focus. So, where do I get a Sport TDCI at the moment the best. The car should of course be new. Important, is for the current Focus diesel still something planned in the direction of D4? Many say hello Rainer

  • Mondeo ST series

Hi guys, as a hard-on Ford Sierra Tunier ( 2,0i DOHC ) driver and screwdriver myself I noticed that the car is getting older and older *gg* Since I’m getting older (you’re getting older too 😉 no more bucks around ( almost every weekend) various actions like, engine tune, lower down, spoiler mount, electric stuff like FH, alarm, ZV, Hifi system, etc. etc…. it’s time to upgrade again to another car. Since I have an almost “finished” car. To buy a car my eye fell on the Mondeo ST … Tunier. Unfortunately I still lack a lot of info ́s and tips about this equipment variant of the Mondeo. I hope to find in this forum people who not only give a lot of BLA, BLA of themselves, but have useful info ́s for me. First of all what is basic: How is this with the exact designations and the corresponding years of construction ? The model I find interesting belongs to the series 1996 – 2000 …. Is this then a ST 200 ( 205 PS ), as 3.0 a ST 220 or how is that meant ? What does the designation MK have to say ? Is this an own equipment variant that has to do with the ST nix ? Is the ST designation of the current series exactly the same , i.e. ST 200 and ST 220 or how ??? So far first. Thank you for information . Greeting CruiserY2K

  • Like with the Mofa: Burn out final pot???

I have already posted that I have a bosipot, but of course I don’t have the super sound. Now I have an idea: as insulation wool in the pot should there be stone wool in it, or am I crazy???? Can I not let them burn together with it? HA, that would be something: tip in petrol (after the expansion of the pot of course), light, POFF, ignite, boil, reinstall, voila! What do you mean? Has anyone already gained experience with it? Te Hey, I really care!

  • Escort engine cooling/enterature encoder

Hello !! Have the following problem with my Ecort, 1.8L, 16V, Zetec: The car is built in 8/95, and has 77 KW. For a few days the temperature indicator goes into the red area. Cooling water I checked. Since the radiator fan did not sprung, although the indicator is in the red area, I replaced the thermoswitch of the fan. Now the fan goes but the temp. is still in the red area. Before the temp. indicator never went beyond the middle area. The cooler hoses are all equally warm (Heiss). The balance tank is hand warm. Now I have the idea that possibly the temperature sensor is def.. Now my question: -Where is this. Have a plug on the thermostat housing, it can be this one? – How can I test this if there is a def.? – What can it still be about? Need urgent help !!! Thanks in advance !! mfG AXT

  • Focus RS

I was at the Ford dealership yesterday and by the way I looked at the Focus RS and sat on the Porbe. I have to say a cool car. But the seller said to me that you can’t do anything with this car tuning technology anymore. He said you wouldn’t even get other rims for this car, because they are exactly tuned to the special brake front, lowering it would not be possible, nor would it be possible to widen the track. Now I wanted to ask. He doesn’t know?

  • To connect ESP (Mondeo)?

Understanding question to the experts: The Mondeo has ESP, for whose connection on the dashboard a toggle switch is attached. Now an event, for whose technology-assisted coping ESP is provided, “usually” unforeseeable and unreliable occurs. If not so, one could therefore adjust to this driven event in such a timely manner, so that one would only have to operate the toggle switch in advance, and the helpful technology would be Do I understand this fact correctly? Should one switch to ESP manually at the start of the journey? The designers have already recognized that such an event can occur suddenly, long before I do. So what is the OWNLY SINN AND PURPOSE of this toggle switch? Does the fuel consumption increase with continuously switched on ESP, if necessary the increase in consumption is noticeable? Greeting, eztam

  • Consumption of diesel

moin.. I haven’t driven a whole tank filler empty with my fiesta yet, so that I could not measure the consumption until now, but after a tank needle I have the feeling that he needs quite a lot.. it is a Fiesta MK4 (JAS) with the 1.8 D 60 hp without turbo.. what does the normal use in practice ?? cu Absch

  • Sierra Vmax

Can’t someone say something about the final speed of the 2.0 DOHC Sierra with 120 hp? How high is the Vmax? We could or never wanted to try this out, either the highway was too full (because we are mostly only on the BAB during holiday periods) or it has rained or allowed strong side wind or winter tyres only up to 190 km/h etc……. Does the Vmax take off with increasing age of the car and with increasing mileage of the engine? Our now has 125,000 km running, is fin The Vmax is entered with 196, but our neighbor (working with a Ford dealer) said he would easily make 200 to 210. Is that true?

  • Motor turns up

Hi, I have a really unpleasant problem with my Focus (petrol, 1999) – doesn’t always occur, but more and more often! If I take the gas away, the engine reacts extremely sluggishly, worse it accelerates without gas, e.g. in the third gear on a completely flat track, it automatically pulls itself from 50 km/h to 75 km/h, if you just let it roll! Is like a cruiser, even high up the mountain it still accelerates without gas. When switching it is then like before with intermediate gas, because d it still turns up engine. At some point it calms down again and it is almost normal. I had the same problem 6 months ago – at that time the cable harness was replaced for the injection system. Can not believe that it is already broken again?? For tips I am really grateful!!!!

  • Granada MK1 with Cosworth technology?

Hello, I’m just setting up a new 72 Granada and would like to know how elaborate a conversion to Cosworth technology would be from nem Scorpio. Would ideally buy a Scorpio Cosworth and transplant as much as possible into my Granada. What I could already ergoogle is that probably only the BOA 2.9I V6 from nem 1er Scorpio comes into question. But that’s also the only question that I could answer 100% myself. What does it look like when installing the engine? or do they have to be adapted or rewelded? Does the Scorpio I have a cat and can I take it with me? Since I definitely want to have a manual transmission, what does it have on me with the MT75 transmission from the Sierra (except that it should tolerate 300 NM)? Is this the transmission from the Sierra Cosworth with rear drive? If so, should the part be difficult to find or only to pay with organ donation card. Or was it also installed in other models? plus NM alternatives? e.g. the transmission made of 150 hp Scorpio I 2.9i V6. What happens to the drive from transmission? Does the original cardan shaft fit to the new transmission or does it even last? Or can I take the shaft from the Scorpio with me? Should the diff. also be changed? Can I install the brake system from the Scorpio in Granada? Or, in other words, where do I get stronger brakes for the Granada? 200 Ps should be kept under control somehow. obleme could I get with the electronics? That all the electronics for the engine has to be taken over is clear. What problems will occur that I have not yet thought of? And since I come from Austria, someone has experience with getting such a thing registered in Austria? I don’t care about oldtimer registration, I don’t need it. I hope someone who has done this before and can answer my questions in a little more detail in the Fore n, which I found, rather only general answers alla “will fit already” found. already thank you in advance for answers
