  • Ford brings Europe models to the USA

read at KFZbetrieb.de Newspaper: Ford brings European models to the USA US automakers want to handle the expensive euro with domestic production According to a newspaper report, the Ford Group wants to produce its European models in the USA as well. For this purpose, it is planned to change some US plants, reports the “Wall Street Journal” on the weekend, citing informed persons. The project can be announced on Thursday at the presentation of the current quarterly figures. The plan had been advocated by CEO Alan Mulally and had encountered internal resistance, the newspaper wrote. Skeptics doubted whether Ford could meet the planned schedule of about 18 months and whether the models would be successful in the US market. One advantage of US production would be that the price of the smaller cars in the US market would not be driven up by the expensive euro. US car manufacturers are suffering from this. It’s hard to believe that their large off-road vehicles and pick-ups are selling worse and worse in times of high fuel prices. VW expects to overtake Ford this year as the world’s number three in sales.

  • no Ford anymore

Hello together, now it’s time. I returned my Mondeo (Mondeo Tunier Ghia equipment TDCI 2,0 130 hp, 5 gears – BJ 12/2002). Review: It all started with a Ford Focus Tunier, because I drove exactly 2 years. With this car I was in the workshop about 24 times during this time (which was a good thing everything was guaranteed). Afterwards we had taken off the car and bought us a Ford Mondeo Tunier BJ 8/2001 used. Equipment Ghia, Motor 2.0 l Diesel TDDI. Unfortunately, the paint has been released again and again. Workshop visits during these 3 months……. 4 x approx. 1st week (no accident counted)……, after that the dealer offered us a change. We accepted and got a Ford Mondeo Tunier year 12/2002, Motor Diesel TDCI 2.0 l. Unfortunately the joy lasted only short. The gearbox was already in the 4th and 5th gear it started to whistles. Conclusion workshop: the bearings of the 4th and 5th gear si We made another appointment with the workshop so that the problem could be solved. The heatable front and rear window was replaced, as well as the sporadic starting problems (engine did not go on). After a week I got the car again. And look, the whistle came back after about a week, the further we still had an oil pool (error of the workshop) under the floor and the problem of starting still had us. After all this, we still had an oil pool (error of the workshop) under the floor. We didn’t feel like Ford anymore and we returned the vehicle and got the money back. Well… let’s see what we’re going to drive now. One thing’s for sure. A Ford won’t. Conclusion for me: 2 x Ford super (2 x Fiesta driven) 3 x Ford bad (1x Focus, 2 x Mondeo) and countless workshop visits I think that’s enough for me to change the car brand. But I don’t mean to say that the Ford is generally bad. They probably also build good cars. I just had bad luck, but I don’t want to challenge my bad luck again. So, I wish you a lot of fun with your Fords and say goodbye to the Ford Forum dandelion.

  • Mutang V6 or BMW 330i/ci etc.

Hello, since I’m still quite green behind my ears here in the engine talk, I probably make a beginner’s mistake by just putting the topic in here now.. so please be lenient ;-P I know some people are hurting this “comparison” (Mustang V6 or BMW 330..) in their hearts, yet I wanted to get some opinions from experienced people about this before I’m doing a nonsense. It’s about the following: I like both cars rough. I know that they are very different to I have already looked at a Mazda RX-8, Mazda MX-5, BMW Z3 1.8, etc. You can also post your opinion on this. Now to the actual matter – If you would weigh both weighings (or even all the above mentioned ones) against each other, what conclusion do you come to? Price/Performance, Macking, Consumption, Tax, Insurance etc.. I have so far driven a Mercedes C 180 k (extremely beautiful panoramic roof ;-)), so also also no boring car with regard to the PS and the look. Unfortunately I am still a min. 1 year student. The car can still cost up to approx. 17,000 Euro. However, what is enormously important is that the car does not cost me a lot in maintenance, because I still have no fixed income. But 10-13 l consumption was fine for me… In the end, the car can give a lot, also be strong PS and also cost a lot in shopping, but the maintenance, wear and other blind costs… I thank you In advance of your answers. • Ford engine plant threatens to blow it out!

Cologne – 720 jobs threatens Ford engine plant the AUS! by VOLKER ROTERS In the engine plant at Ford in Cologne 1200 employees are anxious for their jobs. Because a part of the engine production is possibly outsourced to Romania – with that, the works council fears, 720 domestic jobs are in danger. Latest news › More from Cologne › Until now the large engines are being built in Cologne. This includes the 12-cylinder for Aston Martin as well as the 6-cylinder gasoline with a top N ockenwelle (SOHC). This 6-cylinder is intended exclusively for the American market and is shipped via the seaport Antwerp to the USA. The production of the 6-SOHC expires in 2010. This is decided. But what do the 1200 employees from the engine plant then do? Ford wants to develop and build a economical three-cylinder engine, which will significantly lower the new exhaust emission standards. This engine is not to be built in Cologne, but in the Romanian Craiova. “At least 720 jobs are at risk if we are not involved in the construction of this new, economical three-cylinder engine,” warns CEO Dieter Hinkelmann. On Saturday, Ford spokesman Bernd F. Meier confirmed that negotiations are ongoing between the works council and the management of the company, but was covered by content: “We do not report from ongoing negotiations and will not comment on this. In March, Ford took over 72.4 percent of the shares in the ex-daewoo plant in Craiova in Wallachia (South-Romania), where the “Transit Connect” model will soon be built. Ford is already planning to build 200,000 cars in Walachia in four years’ time. Ford first said that the economical, high-chargeable three-cylinder engine should only be offered on the boom market in Eastern Europe. h to comply with the new pollutant limits, it is also conceivable that the engine could also be installed in the Fiesta http://www.express.de/…/…-droht-das-aus_artikel_1216225759099.html

  • Is there an evil delusion…..private carbuying

Who can help me…… I bought a Ford Escort Tunier 16v Bauj. 97 yesterday on 30.07.2008. The private provider had put the vehicle in place at mobile.de that the vehicle would have been double tyres and tuv and asu 08/08 expires. the car would have put a few rusts outside, but you can get them back with craftsmanship. he had the vehicle repaired in 2006 with a Ford dealer worth 1200€….coupling, emsing, tooth belts etc. car should come through the tuv again without any problems. Anyway, I looked at the vehicle in front of me. It was logged out in the garage. I looked at the engine and asked him if the vehicle was technically in order…. he could confirm this.I could not make a test drive and unfortunately not look below. I immediately signed the purchase contract and drove the next morning (unfortunately) to a Ford dealer who took the vehicle more precisely under the He told me that I will not get the car over the tuv, because the runs are rusted through and a carrying part also…..reperatur cost c.a 1500-2000€. by the way, the vehicle has already been made sweat work. I was baff and with the nerves at the end. Did the salesman mislead me????? by the way, he was not the holder and owner of the vehicle, but his mother-in-law. But his name is in the purchase contract. d further help?? What else can I do??? thank you in advance for your answers flashmx62

  • Daf/LDV 400 Convoy with Ford 2.0 l Duratec Bi-fuel LPG engine

Moin, moin, recently I was tempted to buy me an LDV 400 Convoy D LWB 3.5 t box van 2.0 l petrol year 2003 with factory-side LPG-plant (Bi-Fuel) from England to convert it to WoMo. Former delivery vehicle of the Royal Mail in London with only 31,000 mls. Unfortunately, there are difficulties to allow the part here because there is no data sheet (CoC) for the vehicle. In the V5 document (according to our vehicle license) are e.g. no data on engine performance, In order to be able to prove compliance with EU law, only 36 pieces were produced of the box. The entire technology is proven by Ford. The Duratec engine has a regulated cat and ran under Euro 4 badge in London. It is also used in the Galaxy, Focus and other models. Let’s see if I can convince the TÜV that it complies with EU regulations. Otherwise, an exhaust gas can be used as a fuel. However, an EU regulation states that the authorities must not set up special barriers to the registration of a vehicle that has already been registered in another EU country, which would be seen as a barrier to free trade in the EU. I think it is still very exciting, but I will not give up as soon. it the registration of English vehicles in Germany on the basis of the V5 document? I am grateful for every tip. Also for the purchase of spare parts. Friendly greetings Molliblicksalat If you want to live long, live (drive) slowly.

  • Ford dealer sells accident cars as accident-free – your experience on this?

Hello, with my “new used” I have a problem. My Mondeo was sold to me by a Ford dealer in Eslohe-Bremke as accident-free. As an ADAC employee advised me to have the car examined, I had a comprehensive report drawn up in the meantime. An accident damage was detected here. The expert and two ADAC employees independently confirmed that the dealer should have noticed the damage. I was previously in the company of It was assumed that something like this could not happen to a dealer. That’s why I bought it there and not privately. So you’re being deceived. Now the whole thing goes to court. Now to my question: Did someone have to know something similar with a (or with these Ford dealers)?

  • The last Capri?

Hello, I bought a Capri for a friend. That it is one of the last I knew, because it is a 2.0 Super GT. How many Capris were probably built in a month, or where can you ask for it many more were built? The chassis number is ES66098
