  • Survey: How satisfied were you with your Ford in 2011?

The year is slowly coming to an end, it’s time to raise the winter tires again. We hope you’ve come through the year with your mobile kit so far! And to find out if that’s the case, we want to start a small survey again in 2011. As every year, the manufacturers have done a lot to interest us drivers in their products and services and to satisfy their customers. But: How satisfied were you with your car completely subjectively ? Or with the service that every car needs every now and then? So: How was it, your personal car year 2011? Since most manufacturers not only regularly read MOTOR-TALK, but are also in contact with us, we will go to the manufacturers with the survey results and your praise and criticism in the comments. Therefore, in the comments, write what you liked about Ford in general and your Ford in particular in 2011, what is even better and what is more nic He was so dazzling!

  • Why are there so many Fords with defective automatic drives???

Hello! Search for my wife a new car. This must have automatic transmission, air conditioning and 4 doors and can cost up to 3000,- EUR. In various internet platforms very often Ford (Fiesta or Escort, but also others) are offered, which have a defective automatic transmission. Do you know why???

  • Ford = rust inclusive ?!

Moin, by some people who like me have problems with rust with their Ford Escort, I am now a little scared. Background: my Escort Kombi 1.8TD built in 1999 (through) rusted in all possible and impossible places (aggregates in the engine compartment, car body, underbody, …). For this vehicle age and level I think this is absolutely unacceptable. Now it seems to be “normal” that a Ford Escort can rust away like a metal bucket of 40 years ago. That’s why I want to I ask if other Ford vehicle types also have a rust problem considered “normal” ? Greetings, Jürgen

  • FOREST AT ACT 08 AM 4.11.2008

Hello, on Tuesday, November 4, 2008, the shipment file 08 on SAT.1 will report among other things about the Ford customer center. It will not be a pleasant contribution for Ford in Cologne and it will come to light what the Ford customer center in Cologne thinks of its customers and what advice one gives. I recommend anyone who has had problems with the Ford customer center to look at this post. Background for this is a now 4 year old dispute between Ford and our C-Ma x who doesn’t drive. Ford will say in this post that a Ghia is not a blemish if the vehicle doesn’t start after a 3-day standstill. “With so many electronic parts, the buyer simply has to reckon with it”. Advice to mitigate this not existing blemish is among other things: 1. With a distance of less than 10 km prefer to walk, be healthier anyway. Because under 10 km drive per day the battery cannot recharge. 2. D If you don’t have a garage with a power outlet, please take a new battery in the trunk. 3. The best way to do without the radio while driving. 4. Sell the vehicle to the east or to a dealer (but not from Ford). Etcetera Etcetera With this article, we want to give Ford Cologne the opportunity to reconsider its customer policy. So if you really don’t believe it, look at file 08 tomorrow!

  • What do downsizing and all the great fuel part techniques do?

I have just come across a comparative test in the car newspaper: http://www.autozeitung.de/…/premièren-fieber&show=messwerten Here you can see clearly that the focus not only consumes the least, it is also the weakest in comparison, but also by far the greatest difference between the standard and the test consumption, only 1.1l. All others with their great, oh so economical Dowsize turbo engines need in practice at least 2 liters more and also the BMW with its As with the Audi and VW TSI, even in reality 2.5l needs more than on the brochure. So all the great technology only brings nothing on paper and in practice, apart from the cost of purchasing, maintenance and repair! How do you see it, Ford is good advice to continue to rely conservatively on durable suction engines or should one also run after the fashion trend to charge small engines, which then only need less fuel on paper?

  • Oil loss Mondeo

Hello guys, have an acute problem with my 93er Mondeo 2.0 16V, I noticed at the gas station that I lost a lot of oil (1 drop per second), whole underbody full of oil, brakes right side full of oil. The oil comes out somewhere above the oil filter, thought it was the oil filter first, but looks like that. So could not quickly locate where the leak is exactly. The car is now 200 km away and I have to decide quickly whether to get the car, or before Or There are well-known chess spots like cracked flange to the oil filter, oil pressure switch or there is something else in the area that just dies like that (what costs and how much is the effort to repair damage). It looks like the oil will come from above and drop down over the oil filter. Upstairs everything looks good. Would be grateful for any input!! Wilhelm

  • Ford Sierra Performance

We have a Sierra 2.0 CLX DOHC built in 1991. Yesterday I noticed, when I wanted to start in the 3rd gear right up to 100 km/h, that it only pulls well, if you push the accelerator pedal about half through, but then you push the accelerator further through, no more extra power. What can this be about? Is there something wrong? I know that we will soon get a new air filter and an oil change/new oil filter. Does that have something to do with it, or is the engine because of the age of 12 years just not so powerful? But I think the problem was already there when the air filter and the oil were new. Maybe there is something wrong with the pedal?? I’m sorry if the stupid questions are, but I don’t really know about car technology.
