Moin, after sad experiences with the 1.8td engine in the Mondeo, I would still not want to miss the size and comfort of the Mondeo tournament and play with the idea to try it now with a gasoline engine. Only: which is the right one? – he should consume little, have EURO2-3, hold long. Who can help me and describe experiences regarding the 1.6/1.8/2.0/2.5 engines, ideally comparative. Where are the individual engines actually manufactured (Dt./Engl./USA/Brazil?) Bin ue on every concrete answer and say thank you in advance. gruss joedi

Ford they’re doing what… or not
Have had a Ford brochure in the mailbox today. ….. when do they finally want to bring fresh wind into their pallet? Ka, Fiesta,Mondeo Maverick Fusion…… I don’t know anyone who would choose such a model. for years almost the same models. Some time ago in the newspaper the Ford in the Luxury-Class wanted to join with Lincoln and want to import this officially. Of course this was then blown off again. A well-known of me which US-Fords in the ported sells more Fords than the nearby official Ford dealer. For example, this year he has already imported and sold x Crown Victoria, Taurus and Lincoln LS and Town Car. Also from the rocket mercury marauder he has already sold some. He is also not the only one in the CH that imports these US Cars. Ford doesn’t want to know any more about importing such types….I just wonder why… Since Ford complains more and more about poor sales figures but something there against doing…no…! It seems to me that Ford only wants to sell small cars like Ka and Focus. What do you think of Ford fetishists from the current Europe model range? In my opinion, it is too boring.

Fiesta ST 150 – also wants a
I think it sucks that you can’t buy as horny parts as the PUMA ST 160 (unfortunately nru with an edition of 99 pieces in England 🙂 and the Fiesta ST 150(from Mare 2003 in the Netherlands and a horny successor of the XR2i) in Germany because of the strict rules. Only import is so much because of the papers and the costs. Don’t you think it sucks that such a cool sports car is kept from you because of the excessive laws?

Fiesta Lower!?
Hello, I’m new here in the forum, so far I’ve dealt more with acoustic than mechanical tuning. But I’ve now thought about bringing my Fiesta GFJ a little closer to the strut. Had thought about 30 to max. 40mm. Is this already very strong on the standard shock absorbers at this height or can I leave them in without problems and even longer life?? How is this (experience values) with mounting on smaller ground waves, lowered curbs and dirt roads, makes sic h that is already very strong noticeable? I am primarily interested in better driving idiosyncrasies, i.e. a better road position and only in the second place about the optics. Which companies can you buy in a good middle price class with a good conscience? Where are the differences between the individual manufacturers at all? Sorry, are many questions, but as I said, am new in the topic and would like to inform me before I screw around something better enough… Thank you already, for your A answer. y.s. cellogs

Problem solved with your help !! 🙂
Hello Forumisten ! Had a persistent problem with the idle speed of my 1998 Escort with the 1.8l 16V Zetec machine. LLDZ was constantly at least 1100min, but suddenly fell down. Workshop looked at the electronics stupid and dubious…. The decisive tip came among other things from FSK : A small valve, which stores the fresh air supply into the housing of the engine block, was broken. A simple, purely mechanical Batueil to the value of about 20€…. (By the way, it sits on the front of the engine block, close to the exhaust manifold, below the thermostat housing and is hidden under a black hose. Simply plugged on.) So a FETTES THANK YOU ! Now I have a problem less…. remain only about three dozen :-/ Greetings, Marc

Help!!! My Mondeo V6 go through the horses again and again!
Hello, I have a big problem with my Mondeo V6 (170hp, year 99, tournament, Giha, 70,000 KM): At irregular intervals especially in the range over 1800 1/min the speed does not go down or strongly delayed. The problem occurs suddenly and without recognizable connection. If I take the foot then from the accelerator pedal, it does not go into thrust operation, but the speed remains. (No, I have no cruise control :-)) If I also hit the clutch, the rotary fence rises. l slowly on – so around 500-1000 1/min, lasts about 4-5 seconds and then falls quite slowly. Makes a great impression at the traffic light :/. The condition lasts differently for a long time, and then disappears again without recognizable influences. First the speed no longer increases when uncoupled, but remains “hanging”, then it falls slowly, and finally again quite normal. I had this in a weakened form already before quite exactly a year ago. At that time I was with it 4x in total at Ford. Each time of course with demonstration effect 🙁 Say: error did not occur! For the sake of caution they changed the throttle flap pot and later the air quantity meter???. After that 4 months was quiet, then it still occurred 2-3x quite isolated, but now it happens almost every 2nd ride. Well, warranty has now expired and really did not find the error even after 4 dates… That means for me that I now myself Have any of you ever had this rehearsal, or at least an idea, where the problem lies? Rejoice me over every tip. Thank you so much, Hainereiner

Focus suspension
Hallöle, have been the proud owner of a Focus TDCI (115hp, basic model, year 04.01) for about a week. One reason for the purchase was the highly praised suspension of the Focus. However, after a few tours I was a bit disappointed now, because I had not reached as high cornering speeds with the Focus as with my ’92 Escort. I have 205 tyres on it and unfortunately not the sports suspension of the Futura. Are there such big differences between the suspensions of the Futura and the basic model s? In addition, I would like to know if it is possible or if it is worth having the Futura’s serial suspension installed afterwards and what does that cost? Or are there similar good/favorable alternatives?

Performance enhancement Cougar 2.0?
Hello, I’m looking for a performance upgrade for my cougar. Where can I get the tuning or who can help me? There is very little for the cougar itself, but the engine was also made in Escort and Mondeo to my knowledge, so there should be something. Thanks in advance

Performance increase for the Focus RS
Servsu people! I’ve got another question… I just bought my RS, which I’ve already sung a bit visually. Now I would be interested to know if you can tickle out even more power from the 2.0 liter Duratec RS engine, or if the 158kW (215hp) is finally over! If yes: Where can you have such an increase in power done. Yes yes! I know 215 hp are already a lot! And the box goes off like a sow! But I think that you can do even more than that. If you compare it with the RS, the RS is a lame cucumber! But I bought the RS, because it is a little bit more everyday! I can only drive the VW with overpass registration marks, because I would never get it over the TÜV… Well! I say thank you in advance! Bye Ford-Focus-RS
