  • V60 needs new wheels, 18 inches with all-year tire

    Hello together, due to very good experiences with other cars I would like to change my V60 from summer + winter bikes to all-year tires. The look because of 18 inch rims, preferably the Volvo Magni in 8×18. As tires I chose the Vredestein Quatrac 5. The tires are available in 225/40 R18 92Y XL and 235/40 R18 95Y XL. As axle loads I have 1200 and 1050 kg in the vehicle license. With the Magni rims there is a recommendation 235/40, but then I need these steering limiters (I haven’t yet). Can I drive the Magni also with the 225/40s and then do without the steering limiters? Are the 92Y of the 225s enough? Currently 95W are in the vehicle license… What do the steering limiters cost with the V60 with standard drive unit including installation? I look forward to your feedback!

  • Very loud motor noise since today

  • Problems with Navi – Volvo C70 I RTI

    Hello together, short question about the operation of the original Volvo-Navis. From Volvo I got a CD set with I believe 19 CD’s for all of Europe. At the weekend I had the problem that the starting point was on a CD (Germany Northwest) and the destination location on the next CD (Germany West). If I insert the CD with the starting point, I can enter no destination address (at least no road). If I insert the CD with the destination location, I can enter the exact address, but he (the Navi…- we call it Johann) doesn’t know how to get there anymore. Do I really have to search for intermediate destinations every time my route goes over several CD’s and reprogram each time??     Hello, I think about buying a V90 as a used car. My consideration goes on whether I should buy a D4 (diesel) or a petrol engine (T5). One leaves a lot about the driving performance of a D4 in the forum but rather less about a T5. What I could find out is that one is not “undermotorized” with a T5 and that the fuel consumption is “limited” up to 160 km/h. I would be pleased about further reports. Another point, is the choice of petrol or diesel. First of all, to my driving profile. The annual driving performance is between 11,000 and 13,000 km. About 50-60% of it are driven in the city with a driving distance between 3-15 km. The rest is distributed on weekend trips and two to three larger holiday trips 400 -1200 km. At first I was convinced of a diesel, but my driving profile with a relatively high city share (short distance) moved me to the topic of gasoline. What do you think about it? Petrolter or diesel. Or just take the engine “better”?

    For the time being, I have had problems with a whole series of stations. I’m only angry with SWR3 with the message “Invalid Medium”. But I’m also affected by WDR2. NDR2 is running at the moment, but was also partially affected. I don’t have a VOC but an external Huwai modem as a WLAN hotspot. If I use this as a hotspot for my mobile phone I can stream SWR3 over the mobile phone app there. So it’s definitely a problem with the Volvo APP. I already removed the app on the Volvo and installed it the next day. So an installation error is also unlikely. Since I haven’t found anything on the net for this problem yet, I would be interested if other people got this error message or if it is an isolated problem with me. Greeting TQB

  • S60 2,4t with Prins vsi gas system, problem!!!!

    Hello Volvofans, I bought a Volvo s60 2.4t Bj 2001 with manual transmission and 150tkm. About 1.5 months ago I installed a Prins vsi car gas system, the Flashlube system was used for valve protection. Now my problem: right after the installation the car ran perfectly, after approx. one week and 500km on gas the car started at constant speed (approx. 80kmh, Thempomat, 5th gear) to jerking, then feels as if one once gives full throttle and then switches into the emergency run (not faster than 80kmh and only on 4 cylinders), besides, a yellow warning light goes on: engine system, maintenance urgently. The next day on the way to the workshop the error goes off by itself, in the BC is no fault any more, when reading out it also shows no errors. In the gasoline operation it seems normal. Yesterday I had the problem again, only the addition the exhaust control lamp with the attack, error: po422 something with the cat. Has it been possible for you to know what your plant is completely working.
