Hello together, once again the popular topic rain sensor: I have become accustomed to the way it works, but what the RS did yesterday was the crowning. I have the adjustment ring on the steering wheel lever normally in the lowest position. I get well used to that. But yesterday then that means: Flood-like rain, car in front of me, the spray swirls up, windshield wipers run at the fastest speed (as determined by the RS), then it happens. The wipers change from highest speed abruptly into interval mode!!! At about 80km/h this means an estimated 20m blind flight!! There I was baff. Luckily then I am not the one who goes into panic on the brake. Whether there is a GE jump on it? at the visibility and water conditions had changed to my forgiving nox… Have the RS then set a level more sensitive then later (m.M. after too early) I would like to drive into the next higher speed, but always better than not to see anything. I’m very receptive to the topic of DSTC, but have only reacted to a lot of praise on a piece of music.

My V 70 D5 Premium didn’t pass the AU for the first time today with 176tsd. Something with the turbocharger, my unfriendly opinion. Error message is PO 244 charging pressure limitation magnetic valve out of order. The turbo is gone, the valve, if that were it, would come 800 teuros, the complete Turbo 1000 without installation. I don’t trust the roasting, the car runs like cut, 1200 km with a tank in mixed operation, from time to time, once a month comes the message: engine maintenance required after locking at 2500 touring. Shut down and start again was the solution until now. As a woman I don’t trust a mechanic, they always hold you for stupid and clapping in the most expensive rep. Does anyone here know the message and has an idea for the solution? Thank you and nice greetings!

Hello – my S60 2.4T 8/2001 has a problem: During the ride it keeps perfectly 90°C cooling average emlerature. I noticed by chance in the Torque that it goes clearly up at the stand (have stopped at 104°C). After that I caught my little Volvo tester. Both fan levels are off without air conditioning. I activate the climate, goes fan level 1 to ON. Temp rises however as said over 90… When should fan 2 trigger and what activates it? Recently I kicked it half way, then the fans ran after full pot – so as the fans still went without problems. Thernostat is also new since I have never reached more than 78°C in winter… Thanks for your help!!!

Hello, have been following the forum for some time now and still have to be active. First of all the obligatory 😉 Presentation : Heisse Manfred, have problems to find suitable cars and thus “hanged” at Volvo (tja – the height makes possible). Meanwhile convinced of the brand and therefore now changed from my V70/1 to S80. So much for it… First of all thanks for the constructive contributions and suggestions – helped me with my “old” often. But have still a KLEINE question (please don’t stone – I know the topic was more often in the forum and I also read almost everything) – topic standing heating – what can I program (after I was in Holland…) how? Hello in the company at the moment Diesel is sulphur-free tested with 5% RME (rapes) (PKW and truck).http://www.migrol.ch/default.asp?navig=722 I also have (after consultation with Volvo) fuelled this fuel (there were still about 5 liters of diesel in the tank). First (subjective) experience (after 100 km), which however coincides with that of other colleagues: – the nail has become significantly smaller – with warm engine softer combustion – much more ignite (cautiously you have the ignition key, already the engine is running) What I can not judge is the fuel consumption. However, according to our frequent drivers, a reduction of between 5 and 10% is to be expected. Unlike France, which knows the 5% for years, our diesel is sulphur-free. I will keep you informed. Now it’s getting dark again and some people know the dull feeling when the light cone shows straight ahead in a dark turn… luckily there is “curve light”. At Volvo “thinkest!” although Volvo sees itself as a pioneer in safety equipment. Therefore, I am surprised that no announcement mentions “curve light”. The competition introduces it train by train – sometimes at an extra cost – and Volvo lags behind (here are just a few examples: Astra, Vectra, Signum, the new 3 Series, Lexus, E-Class T-Model, X5, the new Ford Focus even curved with halogen and Xenon !).
