Similar to what was discussed in the thread “RTI safety note off”, the patronage of Volvo is something to me on the cookie. Problem: If you have an object lying on the passenger seat, which is heavier than about 1.5 kg and there is no belt plugged in, then, as soon as you go off, you will be inaudiblely reminded to put on the belt. Safety back or forth, but as a 90% driver I do not need a hint that reminds me to strap the milk bag/cuff pocket on the passenger seat… And if you then put something off in the rear, you have to push away the message in the display that no belt was put on in the rear. Aha. According to this, it is “officially” not possible to deactivate this externally superfluous “safety device”. Does it also bother you that you can not even take the small purchase in the car without “Yes, I’m sure”, “Ok, that’s already right” and “Yes, I’m legal” somewhere to confirm that there is really no solution?

Volvo XC70 (BJ2008) doesn’t like iPhone 3G (Bluetooth) anymore? Why?
Hello dear community, I hope to get a little help here for my problem. For a few days now my Volvo Bluetooth hands-free system (directly from Volvo) doesn’t want to work with my iPhone 3G anymore. The whole thing has worked more or less smoothly since 1 year. Last time I went on a longer journey everything went, suddenly it couldn’t connect to the iPhone any more. Now I tried to do that again. First of all he didn’t find anything in the search for the device at all. Then when I was in the Bluetooth menu of the iPhone (should apparently help), I could connect, well, at least half. I had to enter the pin on the car then, and then he tried to connect it. On the iphone then I could find in the device list “My Car” as well as connected. On the center console of the Volvo stands “no connection”, although it indicates above so dashes about the reception. But there is no way to make a phone call again etc. I have tried this all the time, but so far I couldn’t find a solution, why it is not possible to make it work again.

V70 2.4d MY2010 ordered
Hello together after some considerations we are away from the VW Passat and ordered yesterday also a Volvo V70 2.4d. Silver, summum version with Geartronic, 17″ Cassini rim Stockholmpacket (Dachreling silver, passenger seat electric, PDC v/h, audio system Premium, ZF Servotronic, leather off black) plus Bluetooth, sliding roof and rear panes darkened Delivery date: January The only thing we were not sure was whether the sports seats were better. The side stop did not delight us so much during the test drive. But there was no vehicle with ‘reinforced side stop’ available. Ventilated seats were left out because I believe that the longevity could suffer… the leather is nevertheless weakened by the perforation…

XC60 Ocean Race ordered
Hello together, after a long time to think about what will become the successor of my V50 after 160 tkm (V70, XC70, XC60, V60, again V50 or Saab 9-3X), I ran over the IAA on Friday. I immediately liked the XC60 Ocean Race, which stood there, so much so that I ordered one today. If I spend so much money, the box must inspire me at first glance – at the Ocean Race XC60 the feeling was the same as at the time with my barents blue V50. I like blue cars. By the way, the Ocean-Race-blue looks live much more coherent than on the photos – a deep, friendly but strong blue. My configuration: XC60 Ocean Race DrivE outside blue, inside black Business package Winter package Per composite glass side panes Touring-driver fold-in mirror Rain sensor Air quality sensor I can withstand the waiting time until December/January, the V50 is after a pretty car.

Volvo V60 Call for inspection
Hello colleagues, wanted to start my V60 today and received the following message: “Register for service” My view of the speedometer: Around 11,500 KM First registration: mid-February 2011 Mhhhhhhhhhhh 30TKM or once a year for inspection so it should be. I then called the, who said the message usually comes 4 weeks before the actually necessary date. There was already a similar topic here at an XC60. How are your experiences. Many greetings to the round

Volvo v60 d5 what experiences so far?
Hello dear v60 d5 driver As a leading Audi driver, I have the trousers full and think about buying a V60 D5; after ongoing problems with 2 Audi as a result, I intend to turn my back on German car brands. I actually wanted to ask you which of your experiences are concerning the v60 d5 now that you have driven it a little bit since. What I’m particularly interested in is how the chassis is and the brakes. I had a big vibration problem in my a4 8k so at 130 kmh in the steering wheel and in the whole car wanted to know if the v60 has that too? And with my s3 a thick brake problem (although I’m actually a comfortable driver). All your tips and ideas interest me burning. Have made me smart here yesterday in the forum. My thought is about a D5 r design at the moment where I need to ask myself whether I jwd or not and whether I want to automatic or not. So after this Great Wall of text I’m curious about your ideas Beautiful greetings

Help! Diesel flocked / frozen? XC60 2.0 D
Help! Just sit in Czech Republic on holiday and want to return home tomorrow. In a bad premonition I tried to start my XC60 (2.0 D, year of construction okt/2010) times, because it was quite cold here (-25°C). Unfortunately without success. The battery is ok, the starter turns normal, only the engine does not start. No Mucks. Now the question to you: I assume that the diesel is flopped out, there is a possibility to warm up individual parts, that it might work again? If so which? Greet from the (too cold) Giant Mountains. p.s. the volvo assistance is already in the boat, but in the country in each case is first dragged to the next workshop, I do not know how long the fun lasts and would be happier with a simple self-help…

XC90 MY05 down from MY04
Hello! I just brought my V8 to the master to regulate some things and have the WEBASTO installed. I talked to him and also talked about the other seats in the new model. He confirmed that some of the model year 2004 to 05 has changed, not necessarily for the better! My impression that the seat heating warmed up with my “old” XC90 up to high to the shoulders and the V8 doesn’t have that anymore, true. The mats for the seat heaters are shorter in the MY05. Why?? Quiet smile of my master. Also the seat adjustments have changed… apparently that had to be according to some EU standard!! With the term “EU” I think nothing is impossible!! That the electronic problems could not but increase, is perhaps explained by the new networking of the bus with optical fiber. And the radio unit and climate unit should be almost ZUSAMMEN the computer heart of the XC90, over which everything is programmed, but that the 50 computers are installed also by various manufacturers… and VOLVO to look at the same time not to be able to keep up with all the innovations, but to be able to satisfy the customers!

Xc90 + Webasto-sh: Funny!!??
XC90 + Webasto-SH: Funny!!? Hello, just wants to get rid of what I have just learned! As you know, this week I get my WEBASTO floor heating installed with display remote control. (date: Thursday morning) Some MTlers have posted here that their dealers see problems with the installation of this floor heating. After I have just asked my master (who installs the thing) why other VOLVO dealers would be able to resist, he only grinned and confirmed that!! Reason: You need from VOLVO a certain software to get the Webasto or Eberspächer to run with the FB! Now come on: This software does not get every dealer!!! Only chosen with a certain turnover and certain prerequisites have the code, the required software from the computer in Göteburg to get off the “patients”_auto? then he says! So also tips from him how he already builds the thing will help!! He says that the respective auto must be connected to the whole COMPUTER?
