  • 99er C70 Turbo with 193 hp – Problems with the throttle valve?

Hi! We have a C70 convertible built in 1999 with the 2.4 turbo engine and 193 hp with manual circuit. Now the Cab has approx. 100,000 KM running power and I suspect problems with the throttle flap because you can read about it. In the idle run the cabrio “saws” and goes almost out – if you switch off the climate it runs a bit better. In normal driving mode there are no coarser problems otherwise. Is this definitely because of the throttle flap or do other things come into question which you could test or try? Error reading results no error and even during the ride there is no warning light or engine control – there is actually no sense in it as said quite well…. What would you recommend? The throttle flap expand (must the intake bender down now or not? – one reads once so and once so…) and they clean well and so on. or does it have no meaning at all? How long do you need about it? This company Ebay article number: 310239449160 would repair the DK for 235 Euro + shipping. What is to keep your tips?

  • Volvo V50 2005, windshield wiper no longer after changing the heat exchanger

Hello together, after I froze last winter, because my heating did not work, I decided last week to venture to the project heating => heat exchanger switch. After watching various videos on the topic I then successfully completed the change last weekend (slip 10h). Now unfortunately the big one but… This morning I had to realize that my windscreen wipers at the front no longer work, but the wiper at the back and also the wiper water pump/ nozzles work at the back and at the front. I have no idea where, how, what I forgot? or possibly damaged. The fuse in the engine room No.17 is healing. I hope you have ideas!!!

  • Volvo V50 T5 error message reduced performance

Dear community, I have been hoping for some time now to rule out a problem with my Volvo V50 T5 automatic 220 hp. When driving a motorway with switched-on cruiser he suddenly knocked out of it and thwarted the power. I have restarted the vehicle and was able to continue driving with the error message in the BC ”decreased power”. At the time the vehicle had felt still about 170 hp. After deleting the error memory the error message came since only when I activated the cruiser. In the error memory the following errors were filed / Bosch Tester: – 21AD Long-term mixture control, lower partial load/component function at the control stop – 1230 air mass meter signal too low – 614B outlet shaft control position Faulty From this realization I have now changed the air mass meter, which unfortunately did not bring any improvement. After deleting the fault memory and restarting the vehicle, the error message has not been checked again.

  • New cooler due?

Servus, actually I was happy not to have to report with problems after a long time, but today it is again so far on the highway I noticed that something was wrong with the acceleration and then I opened up moderately to home and engine room. Immediately I noticed that from the cooler on the top left (if you are standing in front) white foam is coming out (see picture). Is after 310,000 km just the cooler over now or do I have to worry about causes? 1 week ago I noticed that the water tank licked down on the hose (dropwise). Temperature normal, footroom dry on both sides, no fog inside/windshield, oil change carried out 3 weeks ago, oil filler cap rope rod no foam/slam. As usual used with Scandix or alternative at bay, approx. cost for material and work? Thank you Coray

  • unofficial MT meeting on 18.08.2012 near HH

I’d like to take advantage of the event and invite you to a small barbecue party. I’m very happy to have all the members of DIES Subforum. The meeting will take place on/around/in my Schrauberhalle. Since the volunteer machine from far away Bavaria is on its way to the north to have “a few small things” straightened up, I’d like to see the “thick hangover” as a spare part donor not far away, and also our summer night 80 would like to take advantage of the opportunity to carry out her dream, which I hope was acquired until then… (Otherwise she promised to come with the bike) With the “usual suspects” I could imagine that they will also appear… (jonny, hjalmi, L15W…, arsic, etc) Tschok is still on holiday. But elegant850 could also be over “printing”, so let’s go now with the software… Who else would like to appear here in the Thread, can give a coffee, a box for Beck’s and give a coffee and a little bit of knowledge.

  • Insolent or my new annoyance…

Hello, As you can see from my Sig., I drive a V70 III D5 which was brought with Heico to 240 hp (+ a bit) because it was a bit lame to me just above. Thanks Heico am resp. I was satisfied with it to this day. As said, BIS HERE!!! Today I could test the (new) car of my better half on longer distance. And now I am really something of Sauer…!!! That’s where this Blöde S60 drives as D3 with stink normal 163 Hottehühs almost as fast as my for expensive money get under V70 D5 which should be clearly stronger from home. To this end he consumes also almost 2 liters less than mine! That’s probably the very last and so something of shameless!!! That’s certainly not possible! Please for your opinion on such outrageous behavior and how I should now be towards Volvo behavior! Greeting Michael Der (almost) is envious !!!

  • Engine’s running a little bit unruly!

Hello you good Volvo drivers! I have a little problem! Every time I have fuelled with Shell petrol, the engine runs a little rough. The engine speed goes in the first course of the automatic and only when I stand up and down a little. When I filled the gasoline with additional actives, i.e. the super great petrol from Shell, the Volvo did it too. After a few days the small problem is gone again. Whether it is due to the old pins wherever possible, I don’t know. Or it is due to Shell petrol. That the Volvo engines do not like petrol from Shell. That’s what it is like. My ex-tigra only liked BP Super! What do you think?

  • XC60 Timing belt jump

Hello in the round, the new one is here. Got a problem at least my Volvo. On Friday, the rib belt to the alternator is torn (alternatively, I think it is very brittle true). From the Bosch Car Service. Belts ordered and repaired on Monday (nightly) picked up. within 25 km the Volvo leaves and jumps no longer. Organ organ organ, but he does not want to start. Ergo called the ADAC and waited. In this hood uf and looked inside. Rib belt to jump a tooth to the side. ADAC man arrived and camshaft sensor error message. Generator too little tension. I called the factory town and the dare to go. In the factory town they searched for torn cable from the sensor and found nothing since the belt had been slightly shredded (ist) and the mechanic said that I guess the tooth strap has jumped around a tooth. Now I have the stupid feeling that the rib belt developed such a force that it came to the jump and the mechanic can’t say no and the mechanic doesn’t ask you enough.

  • Which Volvo fits us – from experience please…

Hello together, like input from people who are in the similar situation – tips like try out, or I could imagine are not helpful here. We, our 2 dogs ( Labrador size ) and a baby have to come with. Not only during the holiday but also for daily walks on the WE and under the week. In the car must next to the passengers, the baby bowl and the pram what already needs some space. ( luggage for holiday is then not yet in ) An XC60 is already available, however for the purpose clearly too small… Jmd in similar situation which it could solve with a Volvo? Thanks and beautiful WE Benton

  • Problems with traffic sign identification

I drive a V60 D6, approved in March 2015, but I think my problem also affects other Volvos. My hope for the traffic sign recognition has given way to a certain disenchantment: the system does not recognize a beginning / end of the place; it does not recognize any estuaries that lift a speed limit; and my greatest hope was that at “30 – 200m” I no longer have to stare at the speedometer to see when the 200m are over. In doing so, the system recognizes for example “in case of wetness” and does not show this limit in case of dryness. My question to members who have been driving Volvo for a long time: Is it possible in your opinion that the traffic sign recognition will get an update at some point? Actually, this would have to be software-technically solvable, the hardware could surely recognize the signs accordingly sensitively. Can other manufacturers do that better?
