  • Squeezing (tweezing) on the front wheel

    Dear community, for some time now I hear an annoying squeak (or better say chirping) on the left front wheel of my c30. It only occurs when there are short bumps, so when driving over cobblestones, gulli lids, potholes (which I try to avoid of course) etc. Strangely enough, you can hear the noise even when you close the driver’s door (so as not to say “beat” or kick against the tire. Sometimes this noise is also not reproducible, so it simply disappears. The friendly one said he has never heard anything like that. I am grateful for any advice, because it is slowly annoying me…

  • Warning message: “Error in the electrical system” battery or is it missing?

    Hello dear VOLVO municipality, since yesterday I have the following warning message in the display of my V50: “Find out errors in the electrical plant – workshop” (not exactly quoted!). It also lights up the battery symbol in red and in the middle a red warning triangle. Today it went under & over: failure of radio, ESP, ABS and lastly even the power steering (the vehicle hardly allowed itself to be steered!!). Can this easily lie on an empty/defected battery or can actually the electronics be defective? I ask because I would change the battery myself. Otherwise the car goes naturally into the workshop. I have a V50 BJ 12/2004 with original battery. Incidentally, is the first problem with this vehicle. VG Tobias

    Hello together, I hope you can help me. I have a company car available and I have (more or less) free selection up to 60,000 EUR gross list price. I’ve been looking into the XC90 II, but also find the XC60 II quite nice. Question is now: does an XC60 Momentum T5 or D5 with leather and some special equipment packages make more sense than an XC90 D4 Momentum with fabric, business package and only a few small things?   • XC90 2.5T no longer comes to power

    Hello people! After 8 months I have the first serious problem with my moose: For about 3 weeks there has been a creepy loss of performance. Did my special riser ramp come up last weekend and this morning the warning light exhaust gas cleaning system lit me. But no message in the display. Acceleration like an old beetle with 34hp. (With a similar problem with my 480 was the catalyst) Does anyone have an idea before I contact my dealer? Greetings Thomas …no, no problems with the car gas system: Error is present in petrol and car gas operation. But warranty will certainly be discussed.

  • Unhealthy sounds when starting

    Hello together, when I was standing next to my XC90D5 the other day, since my wife had once again taken hold of it, the engine sounded quite unhealthy after starting. The V-belt whistled a little and it sounded as if the parts of the engine had to look for their place. After one-of-a-kind gassing the spook was for the most part over. Even after starting the warm engine it purrs like a kitten. In my former V70D5 I never had such an effect. Now my question: normal, unhealthy? Greetings bkpaul

  • Brake fixed? (problem on caliper)

    Hello, yesterday came up with the following problem: the outer brake lining on the rear right no longer has any lining on it, there is already metal sanding on metal. The brake disc has already Riefen outside. On the left rear wheel, however, there is still a good 4mm lining on it. Can’t actually only the brake piston go back properly anymore, right? Yesterday I drove a longer piece without braking (up and let the car roll out half way), the left brake disc was cold (i.e., i.e., only minimally), the right was lukewarm (but only minimal) Must be changed since the complete brake caliper or can you get it through cleaning again? thank you in advance Ciao, Eric

    Hi people, my father received his new xc90 2.5 T three days ago. super device!!! but there are some questions: 1. we noticed that the last piece of the roof is from “plasty”. is that all xc90 so and what kind of technical purpose does this have? 2. there is a loud high frequency whistle in the area of the right passenger door with some speed. sounds like a hatch fitted door. did someone ever have that? 3. sitting memory: when setting the seats, the specher function pos 1 and 2 etc works, but loud service instructions should also be stored on the keys, meaning lock 1 opens, the seat then moves into pos 1 , key 2 in pos 2 etc. but doesn’t work. what do we do wrong? many thanks for your tips, pictureveve

Result: Either no reaction or simple cancellations! Example of reifendirekt (allegedly largest online dealer): “Thank you for your request.   • LexusRX400h versus XC90

    I tried the Lexus RX400h with hybrid drive on weekends. Overall, a decommissioning car. I used with hybrid drive approx. 12l Super to 100km. The space is modest. There is no automatic circulating air with activated carbon filter available. The navigation system works only poorly and can only be operated in the stand. It is nice that you can only drive up to 40km/h with the electric motor. Now comes the price 61,000 Euro.
