Did someone already have similar problems with the Brembo brake system of the V60 polestar engineed??? On the subject: Have the V60 since July 20 and relatively fast the problems (only) appeared on the front axle. When braking down from about 150 -170 km/h, the car vibrated on the front axle and also on the steering wheel. To better understand, it should be said that the brake pressure was already neat, but not starting in the area of the ABS. The visual test showed clear black “sliding” on the disks. These did not disappear completely, however, became again less. However, the problem occurred again and again, so that the car was then introduced to the workshop. The discs were no longer round after measurement! Result after some discussions & test drives: New disks and coverings!! After proper drive-in time the same problems occurred again. You can certainly imagine that my confidence in this so-called “performance” brake is no longer the best! Now the discs are exchanged again with coverings! Cost point after each exchange of about 3200,00 EUR. Of course, I did not explain the number of brakes here.

Buy or not as a first vehicle?
Happy news, and hello to the community! I wanted to ask if this is worth it/returns as the first car to buy a Volvo 850. My father had a 850, unfortunately a Monday car. Has only made a bitch now he has a C70 of the first series (2.0T 163PS manuall). My mother has a 850 for 4-5 years, and you and I love this car and appreciate its reliability. The C70 is a nice part, but for me absolutely nothing. I absolutely want the combination, which is unusual for my 20 years, as I see everywhere. Since I am from my point of view very reasonable and strangely totally past the “gasser gene”, how would that behave with a T-5R? How do you get there the maintenance costs regarding the insurance? Will this be very bad? The one of my mother as 2.5l 10V 144PS costs my father only 37€/month. Does the T-5R have special masks? So from 100€ insurance would be painful, but what do you not do for an elch! With friendly greeting, Rene

Purchase advice Volvo 850 Stuttgart
Hello, I’m looking for a Volvo station wagon… Since I find the nice, quite simple. Wouldn’t need the car every day, but already for every season, even in winter for the rides to the ski area, or longer rides. I would rather make short distances rather rare. So all in all I need the car for my leisure time. Found the following offer. Was previously available for 1400, jetz 1100. http://kleinanzeigen.ebay.de/…/1671155772-216-9598?ref=search Here are more pictures: http://img4web.com/g/9HT8W Would be cool if someone who has experience with the cars could tell me something about it. I think for my part that it is quite ok, even if he already has a good kilometer on it… Thank you! Greeting Lorenz

Slack noise while braking
Hello, for a few weeks I’ve had a funny crack noise while braking, that I can’t get away. If I start early and then brake for the first time, it goes relatively loud KLACK. After that the noise is gone and won’t come for a long time. After a few kilometers on the highway and then again in the city traffic, it goes again KLACK at the red traffic light, afterwards, at the next brake it is gone again. I had the rear (I guess it comes from behind) brake blocks out and cleaned everything up. I thought it might be the spans that span the blocks, but it doesn’t seem to have been. Has someone had a similar experience, or does someone have a tip that might have to do with that? Could this possibly also have to do with the hand brake, which is also very funny when I pull it on when I’m driving. Greeting, Anton

Wide winter tyres
Hello together, it is only now in the spring/summer, nevertheless I already think about which winter pellet are raised. In the SuFU I did not find anything suitable. To the choice stand 205/60/R16 or 225/55/R16, in the case on steel rims…. Basically I had so far always narrower winter tires on it than summer tires. But with the thick ship V70 I think, whether it is not more useful to raise identical tires to the summer tires (225/55/R16) Bzw. seems to me the idea, because these narrow bicycle tires (in relation) to it to pull…. The extra costs are snup, you don’t have to pay attention. What have you done for experiences? Is one also good with the 225ers through snow, rain, cold ?

Oil consumption on the first 10 Tkm
Good morning, I had the first 11.000 km now run smoothly, ok exception a trailer at the map update. History. So I am very pleased with my V90 CC choice. Yesterday after a longer tour, I thought for the first time, look for the oil! Purely interested The electronic measurement yielded half of the beams, i.e. about 0.5 l on 10 Tkm. Can I live with it. On the other hand, it’s already damn long ago, that I had to refill oil. How high is the oil consumption with you? Is the oil consumption ok or too high? I’m curious about your experiences. Oh still a small anecdote, keep me strictly to the Volvo specifications and am looking for the Castrol Edge 0-20 almost desperate! No one has this stuff there either! No tanks have visited three, no hardware store and the Volvo dealer had already closed. Information, where the stuff should be found came directly from the Castrol homepage.

2.0T, D5 … or something else?
I only know that it has to be a switchcar with 230 ps, but I have no idea which volvo it should be. the s40 II would have the ideal size, but is only offered with automatic, the used manually switched have all far too many km down. and besides, the volvo five cylinders should be stamped due to their drinking pleasure. the s60II is offered as gasoline with 203 ps and with 205 (or 215 ps) as diesel. about the gasoline I read in the forum that it is also not exactly economical and should be quite unspectacular. how is this with the approximately equally strong diesel? which engine achieves the “v-max” faster and which engine is more comfortable to drive with a high – close to the v-max – travel speed? and how can you imagine that with the ppc software from mr-sweden (243 vs 245 ps) with the “v-max” and which engine is more comfortable with a high – near the v-max – travel speed?

Repair susceptibility C-30
Moin together ! Just wanted to get rid of my frustration, because it now seems at round 108 tsd. to my C30, 2,0 D R- design, so slowly repair technically interesting to become. Two-mass swing wheel defective, light mesh in the bucket and belt lock also, all at once. Oh yes and then there is still the very illuminating message, which an airbag maintenance is required, uh yes, how should I imagine that ????? And the bright leather seats, especially the driver’s seat, start for about a year, very fast to pollute, eternally one is at cleaning. Is there a solution ??? The C30 is naturally a great vehicle, especially in the R-design version, but if it goes on like this, Volvo is no longer an option for me ! Greeting, Schnuerchel

A stupid question to you – Tyre size C70
Hello – I’m going to buy a C70 summum with all frills and frills, with Pirelli 235/40/18 aluminium tires, look really great, but I’m afraid, because we are on the road, preferably highway and even in heavy rain. Is my fear justified? – also I don’t want to follow every rail in the city. I would rather be used to the dimension 205/55/16 for other vehicles, but they are much cheaper in the purchase because I drive around the 25000 km a year. Your opinion interests me whether and how strongly the driving behaviour of this car changes, I’m not a very young man more safety and good driving behaviour in every situation before the optical. I please if it can be made possible not any stupid retour answers, I know most are on bigger and bigger ggg. Thank you in advance for your answers.

Volvo v50 timing belts torn, what now?
Hi, I was unfortunately smeared with the tooth of a kilometer when I bought my Volvo V50 2.0 D (MW). The speedometer was reduced by 180,000 km. Unfortunately, I noticed this when the timing belt quit the service. Of course, the engine doesn’t start any more. Since I don’t want to continue to fix the cart with great effort at the moment. Therefore, I would like to do the engine myself. My question is about the mounting position of the valves. Are these installed perpendicular to the piston or oblique? Maybe there was no collision of pistons and valves.
