Since the first gear has to be “appealed” several times, which is particularly annoying for the backman in urban traffic :-), and it sometimes scrolls in the gear from the 1st to the 2nd gear, I think that the gear boxes have their best time behind them. Clutch and taker cylinders are ok anyway. The car, a 2.0, has only 133,000 down and is not a city car. Yesterday I looked (without jacking) briefly on the gear bar: 1 jack in front of the gear box 1 jack in half way of the gear bar Are there any more sockets that could hide under covers in the gear lever area? Hood does not open
Hello dear S/V40 community! Having been a silent reader for 3 years now and been a happy V40 owner for 2 and a half years (also because of the very informative purchase advice in this forum), I now have a problem myself: I wanted to refill disc wipers and see here: bonnet unlocking defective – i.e. the unlocking in the driver’s footroom does not bring any resistance and therefore the hood does not open. However, after I cannot pull the rope into the passenger compartment, I hope that only the reset mechanism is jammed and the rope is not torn. Motor electronic lamp Burnt
Hi people I had just taken my day before yesterday V40 out of the workshop because the petrol filter was replaced due to rusting…more not. So today the warning light for the electronic engine regulation goes on and stays on. In the service book was also something of disturbed fuel system but it otherwise runs very well, except that it now also starts badly (with slightly gas he comes faster. has anyone of you had such a thing before? in the service book is only “Bring me Volvo” Ds, Gruss Olly

Gas plant in Volvo 850 !!!SUPPORTED!!!
Hi, I drive a Volvo 850 with a KME car gas system. I wanted to use another one now because the engine is gone; and that’s the one from the V70I (which is already lying here). I had the following problem because of the engine control, because the V70 engine has a variable camshaft control: As in another block already described, I would have to make the whole cable salad new, stop because of this camshaft control, and then I decided to take the cylinder block and its piston out of the V70 and make the rest, i.e. cylinder head with camshaft and all the stuff, again on top of it. Why do I do that exactly like that, is described in another post. I have now, however, the one question, namely, how to deal with the gas system??? Can I just remove the cylinder head above or fly it all around my ears. Someone also told me that there is a safety device on a component of the gas system, with which I can already screw around at the front. I can do the engine conversion with one who knows well, however, if I don’t need to drive the gas systems.

Heating spins
Hello my good old moose tries to make me crazy I drive a 09/94 lw with climate autumatik two weeks ago the blower started to start and go out at medium setting, after switching off the engine then nothing more went on. Three days later it worked perfectly, after that again total failure when pressing the ignition one hears from time to time a plong from the against the blower. From time to time also flickering at the service line of the heater the light for circulating air or climate. Exchange of the blower resistance was unsuccessful. Can someone please help me?

Fuel line at Volvo is missing – where to get replacement?
Moin, I have the tiny problem that my AWD has a rusty KS line. This is missing from Volvo – so it’s no longer available, also not via classic-parts or otherwise. So now I’m there, where I wanted to be in 10 years’ time – when buying parts for a vintage car To throw the AWD on the scrap doesn’t come into question!!! So where do I get a suitable KS line now? That doesn’t even have to be OE Volvo, because of me also as a meter product and I bend it and then bang it myself. But where do you get such “small” lines with such thin wall thickness? Everything I could find so far moves around the 8, 10 or 12mm outer diameter with 1 or 2mm wall thickness. I can’t possibly bend that. Who has a tip where I can look around… Markus

Purchase advice XC90 BJ 2016/2017
Hello dear Volvo community, After my beautiful Touareg was broken in 2019, I bought an A6 with a transitional way.. Now that the whole drama is approaching the end, I am now looking for something new. I had a lot in mind, from the Audi Q8 via VW Touareg, T5, Chrysler Grand Voyager, Jeep Grand Cherokee and others. Since a Volvo dealer at work is much to me the beautiful silhouette of the XC90 in mind. Today I was then in the car house and have fallen in love with this car, which it now becomes one. It should become the diesel with 235hp, or if available the polestar. From the equipment, Inscription or R floats in front of me. Uncertainly I am driving at the chassis, air suspension now for 5 years and I like it, however, I already had to let the Audi change the rear axle and know the prices, but rear axle with leaf spring I did not know until today. Is there otherwise any for or again the against or for the XC90? What are the vulnerabilities?

Volvo On Call … used XC90
Hello to the forum: Sorry topic, I know (using some posts after using the SuFu), but there are still questions open to me: Pre-Remarks about it: – I have created a VOLVO ID. – I have reset the vehicle to “factory settings” (there used car and thus owner change). – I bought a VoC subscription from the friendly person and got a PIN to it. – I have installed the VoC app on my smartphone (iPhone). 1. Does VoC only work with a data card in the vehicle modem? i.e. it does NOT work with a WiFi connection via smartphone? 2. If I select in the CenterDisplay in settings/communication the item “Volvo On Call” comes out, then a message similar to “Volvo On Call UNIT activate” and I should enter a PIN. The PIN that I have received from the friend after buying a VoC subscription does not work, i.e. it comes to the message “false code”. Question: Must be entered here or how to connect the connection is possible?

USA-Chrome rims XC90
Hi, I have a question. I’m interested in such an XC90. A little bit more unusual would not be bad for him. Now I’ve seen a lot more in the TV cars – of course in the USA – which had simply crazy rims. These were polished, huge (min 20″ and – tja, just something that you just never see here (a technique that still turned on in the stand) – partly also gilded (that would be really too much, however, is only funny). I picked up a name of a rim company in the USA: Asanti just the madness!! Almost too much of the good… And then still the name “Giovanni”. My question is whether such a design has to stay a German taboo again by the TÜV, or if I could drive the rims (if the format is right for the car) here. (from the purchase price we don’t talk better. hehehe) !! I don’t want to be misunderstood – I don’t think I have to buy such a rim, after all, I’m not a rap star (but rather the fan of Chopin).

Hello, in some threads it was said by some participants that one can expect “this or that” at a certain price. I would like to take up this topic with you. However, I find it difficult to get started because we would have to group a lot of things. What would be price classes? What would be perceived as “high quality”? I get this: – here in the forum it is said that one has to expect for “round” 60,000 euros for an XC90 V8, i.e. 10,000 euros more than for an XC90 T6, “more” than just a larger engine. My counterthesis: the larger the car, the less you get as a countervalue for it, but you buy prestige. Best example: BMW x5. Was there in 2003 a 4.6is for 78,200 euros, which has just 27hp more than the 4.4i for 62,700. (good of the 4.4 needs the sprot package, the met-lace, i.e. real price difference: 12,000 euros) Or differently: how much cheaper must a VOL be equipped as a comparable Audi/BM or VOL for a better version of the Audi/M
