  • C70 with Heico front flaps and 35mm springs

    Hello C70 fan community and of course all other Volvo enthusiasts, I have after a long time thinking now finally to modify my beloved C70 still something still to modify. First was only a lowering plan. But something ridden me and I ordered with me also the Heico front spoiler flaps, as they are so nice called, too. But after a day waiting it turned out that the idea was not so bad. I am satisfied anyway and I like it. He is now 35mm deeper through H&R springs and drives still quite comfortable. The wheels are “still” series with 235/45 R 17 but 19 ” is in planning. So that’s for the first time. Now to you … how do you like it?? Greeting Winni

  • Bye Bye Volvo

    Hello, since yesterday it is clear: My V50 is replaced by a VW Tiguan. An XC60 was also in conversation, but I would have taken it (also for financial reasons) only with front drive. Unfortunately, Volvo is still very covered with the prices here. I was very satisfied with my V50. Over the 5 years (the exchange takes place in August) I was very pleased with the car. Now I am looking forward to the Tiguan. As said unfortunately wait until August there can be exchanged only then (company car). Greetings…

  • 850 ABS compatible – With and without Tracs

    Last week, the ABS block of my 94ers 850 (with Tracs) leaks – brake fluid exits from the ABS block. A new ABS block costs Skandix more than 110€ + a suitable control unit about 580€ (if mine does not fit) = much too much The Battle-850er, which I have the same ABS, but without Tracs. I have expanded this and brought to the workshop of my trust which the Rep has carried out (usually I screw myself, but: we remember and, I have a problem at the moment with my finger). The ABS with Tracs has 4 brake line connections, which without Tracs but only 3 I am before to the Volvo dealer and asked if the exchange would be possible at all. The latter shrugged with the shoulders and said that it would not work. Back to the workshop of trust and we went through which brake fluid line as to be changed, that it could work without Tracs (I was clear that after the rep. – if it is possible at all – the ABS lamp burns in AI. In short: The workshop it actually managed to change the picture of the ABS line without using the big line.

  • Finally it’s time…….

    Hello everyone, tomorrow it’s finally time, I can pick up my new/old, oh no matter, just MY Volvo. When I looked around Mobile.de for a new car, I fell in love with a black V70. That was on 10.09.2012, then bought it for 850.-Euros. The first car which is really rust-free. Obviously, only that the timing belt had to be made, which had according to stickers and overcalculated then already 180tKm on it, therefore also no test drive was made to me too risky. I had the car picked up by trailer. And a few days later the call belt, timing belt incl. waPu, carrying joints, track rod heads, track rods, error codes were read out – without errors and new tires have to be made. Everything together 1360,-Euros. Tomorrow it’s finally time, and I can pick up my little one. Is a V70 I – 2.5 – 165 HP – 296tKM – registration 12/98 MJ99 in black – partial leather – photos will follow.

    Hello together, today I looked at and bought the volvo, as described before. a very nice car which can be driven really great. you sit like with Oma on the couch in it. and the motor sound reminds already very much of the old audi 100 with 5 pots. now also comes my first problem, the salesman could not tell me how long the last tooth belt change is. to go on the safe way I want to make it new. but find no whole usable tooth belt set with water pump and all tension rollers with it. can you recommend me something, where I get the parts also fast. so it is all too uncertain to me… thanks already. gruß mika. p.s. pictures also follow…….prochen…

  • C30 Part and inspection costs

    Hello, read is already a long time the complaints about high costs for parts and inspection. I drive a C30 Mj 2008 first registration 2007. I had already broken off the rear windscreen wiper for carelessness. Cost 18.75€ at the friendly. Had already scratched two wheel runs, front left 26.50€ and rear right 41€. Monage a.Part 15€, can also do “man” even if you don’t have two left hands. So I could continue with new make-up mirrors etc. Inspection costs 1st year 247€ Inspection costs 2.Year 240€ With all filters and engine oil.I could have squeezed this amount if I had only taken a “small inspection” due to the few kilometers. But if I then read inquiries for cheap rear windscreen wiper or similar and if you have to do the inspection still with the friendly one at 60,000 km I don’t understand the VOLVO-WELT anymore. Volvo is not a volume car. For the small piece numbers I find the prices very moderate.

  • Audio, Navi, comfort functions spin. Buffer battery? Reset?

Bluetooth connection with the iPhone works, however, the car radio breaks off the conversation abruptly, and after the conversation at the Handy is safely finished, the car radio switches again to conversation and shows the continuous conversation time, while the phone certainly does not carry out a conversation. The Navi does not work anymore at the push of a button at the steering wheel memory. After closing or opening the roof drive all windows back to the top position. Except the driver window, there remains the hand-breit gap. He has measured at the power supply of the AHK when searching for error, but otherwise the bus system (though) doesn’t. If a PC would make a cold start, then the operating system can make a new start?

  • My Change to the Volvo Forum

    It has become a Volvo again! After my Saab 9-3I (210hp) and various years and conversions (see Saab forum ) I have been looking for a bigger station wagon for a while. The trunk of the old 9-3 is hit only by the E-Class station wagon, but I wanted better seats and more interior space. What I no longer wanted was a car, where I start to remodel everything again.   • How long do shock absorbers last?

    Hello all, my V70 II is currently in the Volvo workshop wg. grim suspension noise from the rear part of the vehicle. Diagnosis of the workshop: both rear shock absorbers have to be replaced. Before I get upset about it now, the short question whether it is normal that shock absorbers are worn after 100,000 km or 5 years respectively? Never have my car been heavily loaded and drive completely moderate. The shock absorbers on my 12 year old Audi are still impeccable (have I I’d like to hear from you about your experiences.

  • How satisfied are you with your V40?

    Hello everyone, I’m about to buy a new used car. I have VW/Audi or Volvo V40 to choose from. Actually, VW and Audi are too expensive for me. At the moment I’m driving a Skoda, which is more trouble than he is ready to drive. What are your experiences with the Volvo V40? Can you recommend your car without restriction?
