He was already in the workshop three times – but because of small things (e.g. squeaky belt, broken xenon burner etc.) Now he’s complaining again. And I noticed during the ride home from the Whitsun weekend on the highway that sometimes very light white smoke from the steering column a In addition, the belt warner suddenly taps irregularly, although I am strapped on. The flashing noise and the signal of the belt warner seem to have the same source. I was already in the workshop of my trust today. But they have no cause. No more Pixel LED at Ultimate – Chip Deficiency

Electric window lifter: can only be used with running engine after Service 2.0?
Moin, I had my XC40 Mj2019 T4 last week for the fourth inspection. I’m very sure that I could run down the windows before the Service 2.0 even when the ignition was only switched on; I always do it in the heat to set the navigation and music before I start the engine. Now after the Service 2.0 the window lifters only react when the engine is running. Was therefore today again at the Volvo workshop: there is no known if with the new software where something was changed rde; they have now sent a service request to Volvo. Answer should come over the week. Does anyone else have the problem after a recent Service 2.0? CU Fred

Engine replacement
Hello in the round Have a Volvo 850 bj 1994 2.5 20V engine is flat and is to be replaced. With my old is the flash box installed and he had the switch suction tube. Could get an engine from a 96er with OBD 2 and without switch suction tube… Has anyone had any experience whether this works or whether it becomes problematic? Best regards

Deactivate immobilizer (VDO with black pen)

I wanted to disable the WFS on my 850 and had found a good guide in another forum in which it was explained which contacts have to be bridged in the controller of the WFS directly on the board in order not to have to search the cables. Unfortunately this forum has been offline for days and I have not saved the guide. Therefore my question: Does anyone know which contacts have to be bridged in order to disable the WFS? I would like to deactivate them before she gives up the geis. Also, the thing with the pen is annoying and we don’t want to steal the car anyway. Thanks for your tips, Eric

Tank indicator V40 1.8
Hello, I’ve been having a problem with my tank indicator for quite some time now, which quittered your service after I wanted to go home to work. The tank indicator continued to sink into the reserve area until at some point the reserve lamp turned on, a full tank had no purpose, remained constant in the reserve area with reserve light over several days. Meanwhile, however, when the car starts to show me a minimum tank content, this during the drive into the reserve area sinks to rise to maximum during the ride, which is not true, since only half the tank content is still available.
