  • SRS lamp Volvo C70

    Hello, I bought a Volvo C70 convertible built in 2002 a good two weeks ago, which stood for some time. My plan was to make the convertible so far fit for the TÜV, which has worked well so far, the last lack which prevents me from driving over TÜV, but the SRS lamp is causing some problems. My workshop told me that it could not read out the ECU (I am unfortunately not familiar with which device it was tried) , then I got a cheap reading buys (the iCarsoft i906), which also worked very well with my 1997 V70 before. But this too could not read out the airbaig error. Could it possibly be related to my car and not at all to the readers? And how would you proceed now? I am grateful for any help.

  • S60R vibrations under the gear lever

    Hello Leutz! I’ve been driving my first VOLVO for a week. I couldn’t resist how it was supposed to happen and decided to use an S60R. A hammer part! Now to the vibrations: In the speed range 3-4tsd tours I always heard a “snoring” and thought the shift lever was too loosely tüddelt. Far missing! According to my workshop the rope hoists of the circuit. These are probably not so great processed at the ends, so that one hears a snoring. Don’t panic VOLVO Is this problem already known and the workshop changes it directly next week. So dear R – driver listens in to your vehicle, maybe it’s the same with you. Otherwise I’m totally excited about this car (and VOLVO at all). By the way, I find the forums here really informative, because now I will first have to glue my dealer a current Navi-Cd from 2003 out of the cross 🙂 Another question: Can you do it somehow? e let out annoying limit without the guarantee expires ??? P.S.: I can’t really share the comparison S60R / D5 🙂

  • Experience with “Upsolute” chip for D5?

    Hello, play after just under a year and 25000 km to make a chip tuning at my D5. But long speech short sense….just by whom? Wetterauer or Upsolute (they are priceless!!) but what do they do. Who has experiences with Upsolute? Wetterauer I know from experience is very good but not cheap! I know, I know, this is certainly the 3000th question regarding Chiptuning, but I still think interesting again and again due to the different Meinu Ngen! Are there no problems with the automatic system because of the obvious more Nm? Somewhere here in the forum I have read that the Autom. can only hold about 350 Nm!? Greetings Patrick

  • S 60 2.4T vs S 60 T5

    I have 2 S 60 occasions offers with the same price: 2.4T AWD Automat(without Geartronic) T5 Handswitched I work in the field service and drive about 50Kkm a year. I used to drive the automat (Opel) and enjoy it too. Now I’m doing very hard, should I stay at the automat and enjoy more comfort or grab a sporty vehicle. Is the T5 even suitable as an outdoor service car? Is it true that the leather seats in the 2.4T are a little softer? Hand transmission is somewhat inaccurate? Thank you…..Grusse from Switzerland!

  • Bördel at S60 with 17″ ??

    Hello dear Volvo community! The topic of larger aluminums at the S60 seems to be a hot topic. I downloaded today a report from Borbet ( www.borbet.de ) for 8×17″ ET 35, it says, you definitely have to turn back. For other rims, the same size and ET is always “in” only. Now I am at the very beginning, I can despair. Maybe someone can tell me his experience with accessories-alus (17″. Would really help me. (Please click here) (sorry for the question, don’t know me with lowering) Does anyone know what the original Tethy 7.5×17″ from Volvo cost? Maybe someone has an expert opinion as “pdf”? If I don’t get along with the accessories alus, I will probably take the original ones from Volvo. PS: I wanted to screw on my new tailpipe cover today. I wanted to do this with the original end tube. I had to realize with horror that the ESD and the middle straw (2m long) form a unit and therefore can not simply be dismantled and transported like this – will try the workshop.   • XC 60 extras incl.

    Have ordered the XC 60 for me on 30.01.2009. is now my 5 ( V 40 / S80 / S 60 / V 70 ) am here in the forum for a few days and notice the Volvo takes the extras (electric tailgate / entry strip / silver roof railing just so out of the program. My dealer has in the exhibition still listed everything as included. Has someone already made contact with Volvo and to get a statement ??? Who once had a Volvo will probably remain true to the brand. New customers for Volvo are very difficult to get at the price.

  • Voice Sensus Navi…..brrrrrr, V60 D3 (accidentally) test drive

    Hi guys, so, today finally drove the V60 to the rehearsal. Unfortunately something went wrong with the appointment agreement. I wanted to drive the D4 and got it also promised. I got a D3 in …. well …. accountant equipment. Is not everything dramatic, after I was back in the car house, we made a new appointment for the D4. No matter, the Sensus was on board – as far as I could find out (I have never driven one of the newer Volvos, the last one The D3 was good, ok, enough, satisfying…everything so far ok, but who wants that? He didn’t have a driving experience switch – sport was not possible. The automatic reacts a bit sluggish or late. The engine is ok but can be quiet more. Everything a little sluggish, but extremely relaxed. The rest, everything so far ok. Driving assistant I find really great. But have no comparison. Now to my question: Can you also give the Navi a 850 T5R. This man’s voice with the bad German is creepy. That’s even better for the Navi in my 3 Series BMW from 2015. Did I have a basic version or was there something wrong with it. Or, very bad, is that so? Thanks and greeting René PÜS: can you configure the fully digital display differently?

    Hello together, next Saturday (25.08.18) I finally have the chance to do a test drive with the new V60 D4 Inscription. But since I am very much superior to ordering the new V60 T6 Inscription, I wanted to ask how far you can compare these two engines? Unfortunately there is nowhere near me a T6 available… I just want to make sure that if I don’t like something about the car during the test drive, it’s just no problem at the end. r was due to the diesel engine (hp difference and AWD sometimes excluded).   • B&W Premium Audio – absolutely top for audiophile

    Hello dear audiophile community, I would like to express an explicit praise for a fantastic, outstanding feature of Volvo. Every day I am excited about the sound quality of the B&W system. Yes, it costs just what, but it is worth every single cent. Have an SSD with several thousand Flac files, of which hundreds in Master Studio quality, and while playing I am always in a Zen phase ??. Yes, you have to control what but s via playlists Yes, even shut off Gracenote is a nuisance, but the sound quality just tops everything. At home I have Linn and am really spoiled, and then in the car at FLAC the concert hall setting, then there is only a wide grin. Spotify also sounds excellent. Radio, but is played over the studio setting. Stake? , I just grin. As I said, everything I had so far tops, whether Meridian (2k more expensive) or others.

  • XC 60 and seats

    Dear Elch-Communtiy, since I can order my first elk in the next few weeks and my budget is a bit limited I would have a short question about the installed seats in the XC60: Is the difference between the standard padding installed in the Kinetic package and the Eriksberg padding (momentum) only in the optical area or will there be serious differences in seat quality here? (I believe in the V50/S40 is a similar situation).
