Hello, I’ve got my S80 a three-quarter year now and I’m not really happy with it. Motorically and in terms of consumption, the car is ok, but the chassis is not worthy of a Volvo. And I have two problem circles. Once when driving over ground unevenness. Somehow it sounds as if the shock absorber would hit. As a damped stop noise I would define it. From where it comes, I can’t make out 100%. Once I think from the right At the front, another time, I think I can perceive it from behind. Some workshop visits have not brought a complete improvement either. My other problem is when driving on not quite flat roads, e.g. short floor waves in the road surface, raised road markings. There one believes to hear noise roaring inside the car. I noticed this, but I did not attach any importance to it at first. When I then drove the same track in the BMW of my colleague I have noticed that his car swallows the sounds much better or can’t be noticed at all. These two things are not world-moving, but with a car that suggests a certain comfort and whose price range is above the average, I did not expect something like that. I don’t mention the cracks often described here in the case of negative degrees from the front panel, because on the one hand it only occurs at low temperatures and after 3-4 crackers, Does anyone know such soundscapes in their S80 II? KUGA vs. XC 60
Blitz & Donnerschlag… now I have just looked at the new Ford KUGA here (in black with full equipment as top version) and am indeed very impressed (and irritated) by this car.. quite big respect for Ford, there is something moving in terms of interior quadri. and above all exterior design. I am really surprised how good this kuga looks and how the part is processed, that has now nothing more of the well-known “KIK-Discount—-optics” of the previous Cologne Pro respect. The whole thing as 2×4 costs (without Navi and without leather) no 30,000,- and falls against a (admittedly somewhat old-fashioned and old-backed three-looking) XC 90 in terms of design and quality in no place. However, Volvo has to do some additional things to achieve the everywhere proclaimed premium touch including the 10,000,- additional price for the nearly identical XC 60 on the market. I have not seen yet an XC60 in real/serial maturity, but for which the s likes and for which the not professing brand fetishist is … I guess just look at: Ford KUGA (in good equipment). Well done Ford (if not again this unspeakable standard Peugeot diesel would be installed) and with the expected usual Ford discounts certainly a good purchase (especially in comparison to the ugly and completely overrated VW Golf Plus derivative name Tiguan) Gruss, SV

BBS Triton rims second hole
Greetings. I would have a special question and to those with Tritron rims. I picked up my Triton rims from the rim doc recently and I only got to go to the tyre dealer today for the assembly. Already with the first rim (accidentally exactly the one) there was a problem when pumping the tires. It was not because the air blew out at the ring and apparently is not dense? When looking more closely then we noticed that the Triton rim has a second hole below (s There the air escapes and blows out just above the ring?! With another rim this hole seems to be somehow closed (Like a coin??) The tyre dealer also said he sees something like this for the first time but he thought that too much air escapes through the hole and can not be held by the ring because of the high pressure? I must probably the days again to the rim doc but would like to know what it has to do with this hole. I forgot to take a photo of the closed hole at the other rim. I also find the recess around the hole strange and what it should serve.

Ammonia – Odour
Moin together ! Actually the moose is big enough, but yesterday I had a bed in the back with slat frame and mattress – the flap had to stay a little open, I made it half with a strap. On the way home I wondered about a disgusting ammonia smell, which always came in swabs to the front. With window and sliding roof it got worse. Roch about as if a slurry bomber is driving in front of you – but that was far and wide no he and here is no longer fertilized (there they are through here). Then I thought, maybe someone has tipped something on the mattress or cleaned the frame with something that smells like that. At home when unloading there is always a nose to it …. to smell nothing, not even at first. Also run in the stand and put behind it and sniffed … also not to hear anything strange. I drive the moose (the #1) now almost 12 years ago — I still haven’t seen anything like this. he smelled. Do not drive with a flap open and in the moose you can smell absolutely nothing. So certainly no gas leak (LPG plant !), no unusually high consumption – in the Gengenteil: here on the country with longer distances 8-10 L LPG at 80-100 KmH. Have read around in the WWW, there are some topics to it. But no really meaningful answer found on it. KAT in Dutt or on the way there ? 2 months ago there were still (repeatless !) HU and AU with excellent values. I’ve never parked in the pile or anything like that.

Seat position for large people in the XC 60 – 2019
my City Weave fabric seats with bright eco-leather look great and are easy to maintain. But the seat position is as bad as always: the seats are generally too narrow and too high at Volvo. I have already driven three V70 and just picked up the second XC 60. I am 190 cm tall, 105 kg heavy and wear jeans with waistband 38. With German car brands I fit in well also in small cars. At Volvo, however, I always sit too high and look too strongly against the roof edge. And since The seats are getting narrower and narrower. Now I’m sitting on the side cheeks. And I always take the normal wide Volvo seats. I’ve done the first several hours of rides now – the thighs press the side cheeks and the butt tweaks and it’s not comfortable. And I don’t even have the sports seats, but the normal fabric seats. With the normal leather seats, the side cheeks seem a little softer – but the seats are wider. And the steering wheel can’t be pulled out far enough. If you optimize the seat for your legs and push it a bit backwards, you find that you have to put the seat back quite steeply in order to get to the steering wheel with your hands. Then, at some point, the headrest presses to the back of the head, whose inclination cannot be adjusted. And another thing: although I have already set the seat far behind, I can’t do it either. I hardly look out of the panoramic roof, because it starts too far behind. That makes little sense – and joy. I have to make sure with my person that I obviously don’t fit into the Volvo standard. I’m surprised, though, because the Swedes are not smaller than the Germans either. But the product development at Volvo is obviously building for smaller and thinner people. If this continues, I’ll say goodbye to Volvo sometime. I don’t need a 70,000 Euro car, b i can’t find a comfortable sitting position…

Minimum equipment XC60
Hello, I’ve been reading here for a while and would like to hear your opinion on the question: What is the minimum equipment for a new XC60 for you? As a small background: I have been driving my current Volvo for almost 15 years, usually less than 10000 km a year and I also want to buy the car privately and not on duty. It seems to me that many people are doing exactly the opposite here, so they drive many kilometers and change cars frequently, also like ever I like the XC60 extremely well and it would fit perfectly as a family car, but I can and does not want to spend a lot of money on it. So what are the absolutely minimal must-haves for you? Currently I have configured for myself to the Momentum base: Metallic Lack Family package Winter package Parkpiepser front Carplay Integration 230 V socket in the tunnel console (for the rear seats) The only one where I tore something back and forth The question is whether you can only get there with parking sensors alone. On the other hand, I have so far managed to maneuver all cars in my life without any parking help into narrow big city parking spaces… So let’s hear what you mean, I would be happy.

Question about Fabric/T-Tech Seats
Hello, today I had at the dealer one of these seat cover patterns for the XC 60 II as textile/T-Tech in hand. To my and the dealer’s confusion was sewn on the fabric genuine leather as an example for T-Tech. In the V70 pattern as a comparison it was T-Tech, a bit like smooth outdoor fabric. Does anyone already have an XC 60 with citywave or fabric sitting and can confirm to me that NO leather is installed instead of T-Tech fabric??? Would you like to order, but this irritates mic h. Especially the application on the backrest would be grey in leather in winter. Thank you.

Cold start of the petrol engine at the T8?
Hi guys, I’ve been reading here for a long time now and I’m looking forward to my T8. What’s going through my head now and what’s familiar have asked: how does it look with the cold start of the T8 petrol engine? For example, I have 25 km at work and actually have to drive the majority of the electrics. Now I also have some local tours with me, where trucks are often on the road. There are also good ways to overtake. But I like to finish this quite quickly. If this is “preheated” every time by the auxiliary heating system, or if this is always a cold start for the engine. Especially since the petrol engines have a higher fuel consumption at the cold start, would many cold starters be opposed to the idea of gasoline savings. Also in terms of wear, would frequent cold starters not be beneficial, or do I think wrong? LG Beetle007

96 Volvo 855 (850) – Drive speed suddenly goes to 0.
Hello, I’m anything but an expert, I bought the car only 3 months ago and still learn, please don’t deal so hard with me! So I had the problem with my 850er already several times during the ride, that the speed suddenly goes to 0 and the engine no longer takes any gas. That has always occurred only briefly, only 1-3 seconds, until the speed accelerates again and again gas arrives… Yesterday he did not catch himself and I I then turned off the engine and couldn’t start the car after that. Only after about 10 minutes I was able to start again and then he drove again normally…. I think the error has only occurred until now when I drove in the fifth gear and faster than 80km/h… But am not 100% sure. Does anyone know what this might be about here? In the forum I found out that there are probably problems with the throttle flap. nn… However, it was described that the speed suddenly goes up in idle… That’s never happened to me before. And I just wanted to make my mistakes blink out, but I had to find out that there is nothing in my 855er where, according to YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbYwpSiXx4g ) is the flashbox on the 850er. Is there really only the 850er and not the combo?? The exact model name is: VOLVO 855-552 GLT 2.5-PK – 125 kW / 170 PS(1996)
