Volvo 850 Cooler constantly leaks
Hello, on my 850er (petrol, 2.5l) the 3rd cooler is already over. Before I install a new one again, I thought I was looking for the cause… Could a defective water pump possibly contribute to this?It was not changed during the last timing belt change (why always?) The mechanic in the screwdriver hall said after the last cooler installation, that there was somehow too much pressure on the system…? Greetings

Volvo XC90 D5 – Transmission maintenance required (defect message)
Hello everyone, since today I am proud owner of a Volvo XC90, D5 AWD, 2004 year, automatic (with Tiptronic), original Heico Tuning (140 kW), 230,000 km, 1st hand, 7-seater, black-metallic, leather, accident-free, patchbook-kept, TÜV/AU new, private seller, price: 8000 EUR. Everything actually top, except today, the first day with the vehicle… Suddenly the error message “gear maintenance required” appeared when driving inside. The car drives without noticeable differences, i.e. impeccable, both with Tiptronic, and in automatic mode. Then I looked at the existing invoices and found that in 2013 the transmission oil was changed at 215,000 km. What do you think this can cause? What can I do? Do I have to be afraid that the transmission is broken or that problems will soon occur? Does anyone have any experience in this regard? and can give me tips? Please urgently for help. MfG

Volvo s60 2.4 from 2003 ~ Purchase advice
Moin, I’ve been looking for another car for a long time, which is supposed to run as an everyday/main vehicle. I put the focus on BMW (I prefer dealers from a radius, there was nothing neat about it); today I noticed at a local dealer: Volvo s60 Comfort, 2.4, 103kw, automatic, 170.000km, EZ 6/2003. Externally (no one was on site anymore) he looks completely OK, scanning threshold etc. all positive. After research I concentrated mainly on the Handbrake and DK problem. I hope I understood correctly (and no; 89 pages at once are then still too much ): Carriers rotten, coverings dissolve, in the worst case the storage block shears off and the destruction takes its course ? Means, the dealer should change brake cheeks. Enough ? With me then the change would be made once a year (I live directly on the North Sea, does not cost the world and not much time). DK / DK-Poti: there are models until year xx/2002 affected with the MM-DK ? The MM-DK so with a view as such identifiable? How do I test with an automatic model (except for quiet idle) with built-in MM-DK (here was called Test 3000 U/pm and abruptly gas removal at switches). Are there any other weak points with the car (VA suspension / excessive steering game / something undersized etc.) Thanks for answers Oeli

Thule/BMW roof box on Volvo XC90…
We have another Thule/BMW Power Ride roof box (Thule Motion). Now we want to mount the box on the Volvo roof rack (XC90), which is also manufactured by Thule. Now BMW cooks its own quilt with the roof racks, the grooves are wider than those of the Volvo/Thule base racks. These have 20mm, at BMW 25mm. The threaded rod to the BMW box has the mass M8x55. I have been researching in the www. for ages now and will not really be smart what to buy… Can someone tell me what suits me to some extent reliably? Thank you and greetings

Leasing contract S80 expires – what now???
Hello, at the moment drive the S80II and I am very satisfied with this car. At the end of February 2011 the lease agreement expires and for me there were many questions: Again Leasing: Yes / No ?? The S80II was the first leasing vehicle I had. I have always paid all my vehicles in cash until now – was my education: Drive only what you can pay. My experience, Leasing is too inflexible. I thought, for example, I will drive 120,000 km in 36 months. But it will only be about 100,000km. If it were my car, I would keep it a little longer now. Stomach pain is already causing me the vehicle tax. The one I bought so far seven Volvis is no longer. The new dealer I now go to with my three Volvos, to whom I also gave another Volvo driver the workshop recommendation there the sales team doesn’t even look at me with the A…. I don’t know if I go as a new customer in a car house and say ‘I was There and there, at the moment have three Volvos, the family member also has one, we come to you now, have bought in eight years 7 + 1 car, because I do not put my listener on OR? But it gets even better, not even the Volvo bank or Volvo D has told me who is responsible for the leasing car in the future. I expect almost with the notice: Please park your vehicle to the leasing end as close as possible to the Polish border. That a new vehicle is due, has again Volvo: Yes / No ?? speaks a lot about this, but much against: Take over of Geely, for me absolute NoGo. No technology transfer to China!!! Which vehicle size in the future ?? The S80 falls out, as I will not be so much on the road anymore. Have left a part of my customers. So the new S60? From the design: Sorry, can’t go at all: The new tadpole face is not my case, neither with the C30, C70 and the S/V60. The Navi that is now sitting in a cave in the armature carrier – my eye is at road level! Even the new AUDI A1 has it up now. Volvo develops back just because a few stupid car testers have not noticed that the Navi can also be operated from the steering wheel. Conclusion: Well, my decision has unfortunately fallen against Volvo: I always found the coupe-like appearance of the S40II and the S80II very nice before. Now I have made nails with heads: I have b egestellt: Passat CC BlueMotion Technolgy 2,0l TDI DPF 170PS DSG with a bit of frills. Don’t be angry with me, not even stoned me After all, we still have two Volvis your Jürgen NS: By the way, our relative, whom I had helped to form an S60, was in the said car dealership customer, but decided after an XC60 test drive and after the sales interview for a Honda CRX somehow the brochure distributors don’t bring it.

Incredible wind noise and consumption – if only I had bought BMW
Have our V7oIII D5 automatic since June 2009 and during this time have covered 9000 km (total km now 27000). I was very surprised that the consumption is on average 9.5 liters, I do not get less than 8 liters even with extreme economy drive (max 120 on the highway, engine from at traffic lights, slowest acceleration, climate off). I am very disappointed, a review at Volvo did not bring anything. Furthermore one hears partly clear twisting snare e.g. when driving down a boron dsteins. Do you have that too? Having top experience with V70 II terrified of the poor quality and can only advise anyone to buy a BMW or other German premium brand is a really different level. Greeting Uli

I have to separate myself from my big black one:
Hello you, Well, it’s unfortunately like this: TÜV is due and I’m about to move to a place that is green zone – I have to reasonably separate myself from my V70. I would be very pleased if he comes into his hands that appreciate him. That’s why I ask here in the forum: Would someone like to buy my black elk? 314tkm Momentum equipment with integrated child seat and protective net and and and… (no LRA) control chains changed at 278tkm He has at the tailgate at the tailgate at the tailgate at the tailgate Loussante a little rust (3-5mm wide), although he always stands in his garage. Otherwise there are 2 small hageldells on the roof and on the bonnet each. I would find myself friends a nice new owner, because I really hang on to him, but it is only a car and there I need one, where I don’t have to drive out of a million city with the subway to get to my car. Now I bought a “baby”-volvo… Dear Greeting! black_elkb

Trouble with the TÜV because of missing cardan shaft
Hello, someone has a certificate or experience what to do in such a case, the car is really too bad to scrap, financially it is no longer profitable to repair the AWD, Volvo Germany is nice but of them I also get no safety certificate. The Volvo dealer meant that this is quite petty and I should just drive to the Dekra. Thanks in advance.
