Moin on the other hand, as described in the thread title, I’m obviously too stupid to set the heater over timer, so that the car gets warm in the interior. As a short info: I already had a V70 II with pre-heater and then a BMW E61 with pre-heater. On both the timer was set over BC. I never had a problem getting my cars warm the next morning. Now to the current case: At the moment I drive an XC70 D5 model year 2009. When buying a pre-heater I have a pre-heater A WEBASTO was installed by the dealer. Not to mention that the timer can now only be set when the engine is switched off is the usual press and turn the same as before. So I am able to adjust the timer. Only the problem is that the car is not warm the next morning in the interior. My dealer has the following advice ready: Before I turn off the car in the evening, I should have the temperature for the inside of the car when the engine is running. Then turn off the car and set the timer. So he did it on my car (tested by him in the workshop) and it would have worked. So said, did…. Stefan sets everything just like that, but the car stays cold. From the ventilation comes only a warm, cool air. Now my question to all heater users: first you have to put the temperature for the interior on Max. before you put the floor heating on Max. What am I doing wrong??? Thank you for your advice!! Doubt already about me…. Greeting Stefan

EU consumption is feasible…
…if you go on holiday in Sweden and Denmark and keep to the speeds allowed there. In any case, almost. That’s my understanding after a total of 8300 kilometers in the XC 60 2.4 D drive (with manual transmission): 6.25 l were on the most economical stage (mainly Danish highway with 70-80 km/h and a lot of cruise control) 9.5 l were on the fastest stage (fully loaded on the motorway with largely free travel: 175 km/h with cruise control) 8.5 l are compared to the Occupational traffic (daily 70 km highway + motorway + traffic jam, for comparison: my previous V50 2.0D swallowed 7.0 l there with identical driving method) Factory specifications: 7.8 l inner-city 5.0 l extra-urban 6.0 l combined

V70 III with new 205hp diesel boom
Moin Moin, have had my new V70 MY 2010 Geartronic with the new D5 Diesel 205hp for 2 weeks now. I am satisfied with the power unit (consumption 7.8 liters in the city), only at about 60 km/h and an engine speed of 1400 rpm the engine buzzes while giving gas, which is quite annoying in closed villages. Did any of you have the same experiences???

Luggage compartment cover at rear window wiper does not stay where it should
Last time I changed my rear flap there rusty. Got me at the rear flap of an accident and worked everything without any problems (you understand?! rear flap MUAHAHAHA) but!!! The boot cover at the rear window wiper somehow doesn’t want to hold right. I got enough cllips from both trunk flaps to equip the new panel with it. As far nice and good then hung up at the small cliff first, folded up and then there are still these two large cliffs that are attached directly to the tailgate. If the two metal screws are also so half-way in, then turn in, but also not too tight the whole panel bends through ??!!! missing there maybe distance sleeves on the screws ?! Anyway after completed work and closed flap I see the mechanics of the rear windscreen wiper. The panel somehow pushes the large cliff out of its holder and stands unbelievably above the starting fen sterrand. If my explanation leads you to sit in front of the computer with an oblique head and think “What do you want??!!” I like to take a photo. Otherwise I am grateful for any help. In the search I found nothing about it.

Is it possible to change the timing belt?
Hello, I bought a new timing belt on my last vacation in Sweden, because in Sweden it is cheaper than here. It is definitely a brand product. An acquaintance dares to change to himself, however, I am not sure if this is the right decision. I just read a report here in the forum that a timing belt dropped after 30,000 km. I have never heard that this happened, but as you can see that is possible. Does anyone have experience with the installation and can write something to me? Or possibly recommend a pdf change guide? Volvo 850, 2.5 liter, 140 ps, combi, circuit. Thanks to All Volvo screw

What happens in an accident when…
…you can lock the doors automatically? Moin! Last night I thought of a question that I would like to have “explained”. I didn’t notice anything in the manual or the operating instructions why I asked here in the smart round: If I have my doors locked when crossing 6 km/h (automatic locking), what happens if I have an accident then where I am not conscious? Say: Frontal impact at 70 km/h. Go The doors open automatically (i.e., the locks) so that rescue forces can open my car? With our old Rover 827, it was so that the hood would be “dipped” so that you could see a switch underneath it, so that all locks can be unlocked. How does Volvo, the safety mark do bad, this? I know, stupid question…

Flashing engine malfunction lamp
Hello together, I’m slow with my Latin at the end. Briefly to the error description: I have a V70II R Built 2006. I have had to change my battery because it was still the original battery, on my car. Since time it doesn’t run the same. The consumption is too high, light power loss etc. What I’ve noticed since, is that if I just turn on the ignition and wait until all the control lights go out, one does not go out. rsymbol, not the triangle) stays on. About 20 seconds, then it flashes 7 times and goes out. I brought the car to the Volvo dealer and had the error memory read out, but this was empty. Software reset carried out, not even a success. The Volvo mechanic said that there is no such thing as this car that it flashes. Does one know this phenomenon, or has it already noticed? I can send you a video, where it shows better again. For all tips, tricks and I hope so. Thank you Gruss Roman
