  • What smartwatch? compatibility with Volvo on Call

Good morning, I’d be interested in which of you uses one or more smartwatches in combination with the Volvo on Call system. Unfortunately, it’s not easy to find many or current infomrations on the Internet. On youtube, there aren’t many videos on it. Above all, it’s not so easy to find a smartwatch that is suitable or compatible. As far as I know, the Apple Watch. However, since I don’t use Apple systems, this falls away. My Gear S3 is unfortunately not compatible (since the operating system is not Android). It’s also only suitable for watches from Android 4.0 onwards. (I would have understood that at least) I found out that there’s a cooperatioin with Volvo and the Microsoft (fitness) band which makes it possible to send the functions to its Volvo via voice commands. Unfortunately, the production of this band has been discontinued due to poor sales figures…. PS: it’s not about the necessity or sensibility of the functions or I know that I can also control these functions via the mobile phone via app. I’m just looking for such gadgets and would like the function.

  • Who drives Volvo-SachsPerformaceSport suspension with levels on V70-II?

Can anyone tell me something about this? Is it also someone who drives this chassis with Niveumaten? Is it the chassis consisting of blue gas shock absorbers from Sachs and the yellow springs from Eibach? Is it very hard or not so much? Does the car go down much or less? Sorry, if my not yet ending search for the optimization of the road position of my V70-II slowly annoys with comfort suspension and level mats, but I just don’t know what exactly I should do now. Unfortunately, I don’t have so much coal to experiment with, but I won’t be able to withstand this spongy comfort suspension MIt Niveuas for long … I don’t know whether a sports suspension MIT Niveuas brings just as much positive change as a one without Niveuas … Wouldn’t want to put the car that much deeper and not even the rear of the HA! (I hope the level of the level can be adjusted at all to a deeper suspension, if only the springs of H&R should become …) Robin

  • V50 1.6d

We’ve recently had a V50 1.6D in the fleet (Xenon,Navi,CD,Telephone,Alu..). I’m actually thrilled. For the “little” PS it goes very well when I compare it with the other diesels in the fleet. I also find the big Navi very good and easy to use. But unfortunately only with remote control. However, I noticed some negative things too: – far too many buttons in the middle area of the cockpit – the engine vibrates extremely strongly (in the stand) – the key must be turned in the hand before plugging in the ignition lock every time – the light switch is for small people with children’s hands – the storage compartments are modestly small – the middle armrest is not adjustable Otherwise a nice car.

  • Decision-making aid V50 D5

Hello, I am looking forward to buying the V50 D5 as a hand switch or automatic machine. Actually, I would like to have an automatic, but 50 NM more torque at the hand switch is also not to blame. Unfortunately, I can’t test both vehicles anywhere, because the one variant is not yet delivered and because the machine is not available anywhere. So “I had to drive a V70 D5 MY 07 with 6-speed Geartronic and 400 NM to the sample, which probably is not quite representative. Therefore my questions to the D5 experts: 1. Are there any significant differences with regard to switching comfort and speed in the two Geartronics? The V70 switched fast and low in power during the kickdown, but for my feeling he often caught a too low gear, which was also immediately rewarded with entry turning numbers around the 4.000 “rewarded”. 2. The V50 is supposed to take a 2-3 second break at the kickdown, until something is worth mentioning. Does that really true? With the V70 I couldn’t find something like that. 3. The (lowed) V50 was extremely close to the D50.

  • Current: AMS Test Octavia- V 50

Hello fans, I was already excited about the AMS this morning. There is a new test Skoda Octavia – V50 1.6 D, which the Octavia “naturally” could decide with 506 total points against the 470 points for the V50. A joke is the rating of the series/additional equipment Octavia 15 points (highest score) against Volvo 1 point. So of course a lot comes together. There you wonder what such a test makes for a sense. That the Octavia offers more space and is also cheaper to have, we all know, but with all the other criteria were almost the same. Already a bit strange. Nevertheless, I am happy every day again on my elk. Greeting Paulchen

  • 2.0 D when stronger engine?

Hello, does anyone have any idea if/when the 2.0 D should be offered with a higher performance? The 136 hp are quite little compared to the competition. Certainly you can also buy a D5, but it also costs a lot more, both in the purchase and in the maintenance.

  • XC90 almost at home …

One impression of “no risk, no fun!” Last time in Norway. And – it was BIG fun!

  • @EMKAY: And he can do it…

Here especially for the biggest “fan” of the Haldex-AWD:http://www.swedespeed.com/features/events/malarramo/index.html Is there something like this from/with the allroad?

  • New Sweden

Hello! I stumbled quite “freshly” here looking for news about the XC90. have ordered me last Thursday a premium, which is supposed to be delivered on May 19th and where I still have until April 10th the option to change equipment details like color and engine etc.. But now that I have read here about the dramatic delivery situation, I do not know if the (nice) seller only wanted to have me at the Angel….and the XC comes much later. Besides, I want to make myself with your help, whether the choice of the D5 was just a seizure of “geiz-ist-geil” madness or reasonable. I want to try the eroticism of fuel saving….after 4 Grand Cherokee, all V8 and no one under 16 liters….or will I despair and annoy myself? Then maybe I take the T2,5….stöhn… Otherwise I find the contributions here most helpful and “growing”, in so many a roadster forum was taken about ‘just 250’.

  • who has experience with Volvo all-wheel in winter?

It has been said that with our Volvo all-wheel (especially XC70/XC90) we can easily rush through field, forest and meadow paths (peel groups and mud trails you prefer to leave away), but what does it look like in winter with snow? Volvo all-wheel looks like, if on the front wheels slip, then the rear wheels turn on. Up and in the plain even in loose snow there are hardly any problems (provided for proper tyres) – but downhill, there are at most brakes but no slip, so also little all-wheel effect (manually you can’t lock anything). Does someone have experience with his Volvo all-wheel in the snow? With us in the lowlands there are hardly any, but one would like to go to the mountains once in the winter holidays. ros
